Morning all, 64 going to 85 and very cloudy/foggy
Got the bushes trimmed, need to clean up the mess today.
Another dog tick on me, the premethrin certainly slows them down as it was still wandering around slowly.

Fathers operation was moved as Dr. had an emergency. Need to call up nursing facilities today.
He has been contentious/stubborn, but I want to get him out of the house where he keeps falling and his GF can't care for him or herself. Probably would have to sell his house to get them a nice place where they can still have independence.

One of my coworkers from way back when died, heard from his family. Really great person.

Wngsprd - I worked in Tokyo a ways back and visited with the family a few years ago. The wife hired an expat who does personal tours so we did not miss anything (game rooms, newer sushi place, book store and popular culture) for one afternoon. Otherwise we plan all our trips, no travel agents involved.

I would love to go to Vietnam, but don't have the history that would make many avoid the place like the plague. Been to Cambodia and Laos too , but growing up knew people who would rather not even think about those countries. It's a shame we got dragged into those wars, and even more a shame that our troops were not welcomed home as heroes, since they were heroes!

Buppies - no swimming in the pond until you know! But so many creatures wander at night. Even Deer might wade through while running away from something.

Be well,

You are correct Ken I believe it probably a deer.

Simple terms we became involved in Vietnam because of the SEATO treaty signed after WW2. I can expound on for those interested

Good morning! Starting off warm before sunrise at 81˚F heading to the mid 90 with cloud cover. S wind becoming E wind.

.5 yard to mow and then moving boxes. The cordless pool robot continues to do a good job, so it will be a keeper.

Got much of the string trimming and mowing done to beat the rain. Fixed a few squeaky hinges around the house...I never realized how loud they were until I was trying to be extra silent while Della napped...it's so important that she get her beauty rest :) (actually, it's important that I get an uninterrupted hour to catch up on chores).
I have a few to fix again. I keep fixing, but they still squeak....

Good Morning,
Ct,58 to start going to 80 with clouds now but sun coming out in a bit ! Looks like rain and chance of thunderstorms coming in for tomorrow!

bacon fried popcorn Lou
I think I could try that
bet your dog would love it
Drew, that sounds good but I’m
guessing it won’t contribute to good heart health ! 😂

And now we have District Attorneys who let them off to go and rampage the village.
Kyle, well isn’t that the truth ! But yet we will eagerly prosecute for much smaller offenses! 😒

This Saturday is our first outdoor concert at the FD. We have 7 concerts scheduled for the summer season , and this Saturday we will host the Sun Kings ! They do a lot of Beatle music. I am the chairman of this committee, so I’m in charge of all the food being purchased and sold at the event ! I have previously bought all the cases of burgers and dogs from Hummels in New Haven and stored in our freezers at the FD. Today I will make the trip to BJ’s for the buns, condiments and veggies needed for the event.

Would like to get a long walk in today or a hike , we will see ! Also yesterday I went to HD to buy a few pine boards to build a frame for our gazebo out by the pool, because some animal jumped through the side of our gazebo over the winter!

I remember my Mom saving the bacon grease in a container kept in the refrigerator and used for cooking quite often!

Hope all have a good day ! 🙏

Dad did some tours in Vietnam. And surrounding countries. He did not come home the same man. I am still trying to track down his medals and citations.

getting an expat to help plan a trip is a great way to avoid travel agents and fees. It will be interesting to see what she comes up with. She is also using in-country people for the planning. She has previously traveled Cambodia and Thailand but don't think she was in Laos.
Wars leave deep scars and emotions.
Hope you figure out how to help your dad. Very difficult situation
