54 outside this AM, heading to mid 60's.

Should be nice out according to the weather apps. But there is a serious big gray cloud bank over us right now with a clear demarcation line just to the north. That big dark cloud over me is so appropriate right now. I have to laugh.

Spent most of the day yesterday with lawyers and bankers. That's going to take a while to get over it.

Daughter is in Glacier, they found a hookup spot for her. Seems they have issues with spots and housing for their employees. They are trying to work it out. At least my daughter has a warm bed and a big dog.

Pear trees are blooming. Might need to spray this year as had some kind of leaf spot last year and no pears.

What pear variety is that?
I have quite a few pear varieties and none of them look anything like yours. Mine have the typical 7 flowers maximum per cluster, and they don’t have such a red casing as yours in that photo

Good morning! 59˚F heading to the mid 80s with partly cloudy skies and a S wind.

Mostly, we play Hawaiian - guys against gals -guys won last night. Front yard is mowed, might get back yard if nothing else comes up.

PT was hard yesterday as a few new exercises were added. Kind of decided to have surgery after I see how easy right arm/shoulder is and how painful left is. But I have till Next month to think about it. (Next Dr. appt. is in May.) Meanwhile any PT will help speed along the after surgery recovery.

Nice day, may have to pick a trail and take a hike.

Virginia has a trade in program for certain pears (Callery) since they are considered invasive. I can attest to that since we have acreage going back to wild and those pears are dominating the landscape.

when covid was in full force and I had finally gotten out of the hospital and assisted living, the
rv campground I was in was about one third filled with traveling nurses.

Heard more tree falls, can't wait for that to finish up so I can get the trails and back area finished up.

Went to dinner with wife while son was at band practice with his friends, need to stop by HD and Lowes today to pick up some pool and yard stuff.

We got three inches of snow overnight. Not going to plow. 34 now and supposed to go to 52°F. That is why I am not plowing. The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away.

I am not going outside today, but IF it is not doing anything tomorrow for sure I will be outside and will take pics then.

Yup, nurses ARE special people and they take a lot of crap off some people.

Gave pellet stove a complete cleaning. Removed the outside and inside exhaust pipe. It wasn’t very dirty. Removed and cleaned ESP probe, cleaned out the fines box. Still won't start. Thinking combustion motor now.
Still windy, will get windier again this afternoon.

Good Morning.
50° damp and windy today. I think that we are done with rain for a day or so.
Looks like about 3/4” since yesterday.

Yesterday I pretty much finished up the plasma table, except for verifying that everything was setup correctly.
We had a fun night of playing music, afterwards, I did the dishes, walked over to the house, took Zoe for a walk and went to bed.

This morning I finished up the plasma cutter and cut my first piece. A bottle opener. I figured that I better make something small so I don’t waste a lot figuring it out. I couldn’t be more pleased with the result.

I’m ecstatic about the cut quality, and lack of dross. I’ll have to adjust my setting for the kerf width, it’s about .030 oversized, but I’m not complaining a bit.

Today was supposed to be an outside party for my grandson’s birthday, but the wet ground and high winds forced a postponement. It would be good to watch a bounce house full of 4 year olds airborne !
We will still have a family get together for dinner, so he will now have two birthdays.

Successful trip to town, diesel, beer, etc. even early dinner.

Our LA friends bringing over Chinese TO for a good bye dinner with our Canadian friends.

No feedback from Granddaughter. On her 18th birthday we sent an offer to pay for her college. Options were the local community college where she lives vs the local community college here. Both offer the field of study she has expressed interest, Criminal Justice. Will be interesting not only her choice but how she made it.

Got email from dealer tech, has been out on medical for week and a half. Says will call me Monday or Tuesday.

Good Morning! More beautiful weather with some winds. Low 70's, mostly sunny.

Found a medium size limb broken off and hit the fence sometime during this windy weather. Broke 3 wood pickets at the top so I'll have to replace them. Cut up most of it yesterday afternoon. My burn piles are getting bigger than I would like.

The Milwaukee top handle battery saw came in real handy. Also the chainsaw attachment for the Stihl KM 131, just the right length to reach across/through the mountain laurels. One serendipitous benefit is I will get to completely remove a broken mountain laurel that has been in my way mowing for a long time.

I keep forgetting things and now have a running list.

For me it's now trying to remember where I put the list!

I've never been a big fan of Gatorade because I never found a flavor I liked but the cucumber-lime is great. Got that on my grocery store list.
