As you can tell the clouds cleared just in time.

Head throbbing from researching dash cams
So hard to tell what hundreds of dollars price difference does or doesn’t get you.
Leaning to the WiFi app type vs display. Think display could prove distracting.
Decided to go with the bargain end Viofo from Amazon. The single cam VS1 for my truck, the 3 channel T130 for the Spark, both hard wired.

Eclipse just pass we were only at 85% viewing,61F drop to 54F at the time.

seemed like a nonevent here, glad Ken took that pic so I can see what I missed.

went to dentist, tooth has to be pulled, went to oral surgeon down the street,
unpleasant woman behind desk refused to tell me the cost of pulling a tooth, just that
the first visit was mandatory, 265 including xray, which I had this morning up the street,
and only then could they quote the cost of pulling a tooth. I asked her calmly if she could give me a range
so that I had a general idea. No, you must have a consultation.
I walked out.
my primary dentist will call back with another referral.
this other guy in town is supposed to be good but his staff is not helping him at all.
if you are going to hurt me and charge me a lot of money to do it,
you had better be awfully nice to me.
picked up scrip for more amoxyllin and super tylenol. Doing ok, clearly there was nothing on the xray or he would
have told me. So antibiotic will kill the hurt but not fix the problem.
so many specialists, one for root canals, one for pulling teeth, one for orthodontics, one for cleaning and cavities.
I'm sure I'm missing another one.

I got a kick of the doom and gloom referring to the eclipse.
There was so much fuss about bringing your animals inside, close the blinds, etc....
The cows across the street kept on eating grass. Heard a couple of moos from the calves, but they have been pretty talkative anyway.
Dog picked her head up from the couch for a second when I peaked inside on her, then laid her head back down to finish her nap

Taken with my iPhone 11 at totality with no filter:
The corona was still so bright it was largely overwhelming the camera and obscured the darkened disc.
I might have another pic coming later from another guy that was there which is fairly impressive - is a closeup and shows a solar flare.
Was quite the gathering, probably 30+ people. Good food and plenty of it.
A couple of pepper seedlings have popped up, should be a bunch more shortly.
Going to change out of nice duds and see if I can go find some relatively dry areas to mow ...

Drew, my dentist sent me for root canal, who said it needed pulled and sent me to oral surgeon. They gave quote about $6k for implant I think about $1k just to remove. After taking antibiotic, I haven't had another problem with it and I still have the tooth.
eclipse wasn't much here either. My sister and brother where it was full, said it got dark and street lights even came on, and could see the stars.

Took son to his Dr. they said wait a couple more weeks before they might do PT. Swelling is going down. They took stitches out. They said they would support short term disability.
Helped son file for his benefits, he gets 30 days to submit, which include accepting STD and LTD. We decided to keep him on our health insurance for now, but wasnt sure if that was best.

I put up the Garmin 47 in my new vehicle sunday. So far so good. it has a small screen, much smaller than my cobra ones. Screen actually turned off as I drove, probably an option somewhere. Got to a speed camera and it warned me. I think it supports wifi, but i haven't even read the manual, I just put it on the windshield and plugged it in. It came with an SD card already installed. I have an older cobra one in the honda, and will put the newer cobra (from the wrecked subaru) in the truck so all will have a dedicated camera.

Drew - sorry about your pain. My friends wife is a dentist and I am sure she would have some unkind words for how that office treated you.

Seems to be ok, but will see when he tries to drive again. it's left leg that is hurt. I hope his work position stays there for him. Also, just starting out, it's a probation time, hope they don't let him go for being off.

Decided to fuel up pickkup and grab some Chinse dinner for Mrs. and I,I talk with gas attendant he said Tesla EV super charging station line almost an hour wait,I89 I91 junction had 30 min back up Upper NH VT told EV drivers to use caution for charging station were far and few between.

Just discovered the Garmin 47 dashcam has magnet mount to the window, and it came with a 2nd mount in the box. copied the initial video off the camera, and I really like it. Maybe too much info, lol, it records time, lat long and speed. I believe what it displays can be configured, and probably you can keep the screen turned on. it has voice commands, and wifi. It can upload and keep the last 48 hours online if you set up networking, and keep it powered. It has a phone app, which I have not tried.
