Shopping for a new dishwasher. CU recommends Bosch 500 model

The new Gorilla 7 cubic feet cart was easy to assemble. Now in use for firewood at the door

I went with a Bosch dishwasher 2 years ago, no issues or regrets. Highly recommended. It's quiet and was rated #1 by consumer reports. My only bump in the road at installation - the Bosch is a plug in, all my previous dishwashers were hard wired. Simple enough to install an outlet, but didn't know that at purchase time so I had another 90 minute trip to the hardware store.

Ct, 34 to start going to 48 or so ! Early sun giving way to clouds ! Yesterday proved to be quite nice out in the afternoon!

If some one skims the top and even leaving a few inches with wheel tracks in it, it should go quick, if not it is pretty heavy and dense and the possibility of a bit more light precipitation mid week.

So I’m sure you all remember my comedy of events at the urologist! So their office calls me yesterday to tell me I have a urinary infection ! UTI, and they prescribed a antibiotic! Started yesterday and already I’m feeling relief ! So we shall see !

Saw longer video showing the ship lost power a couple times before hitting bridge. Some survivors. I have not been listening to the talking heads.
I guess son got to the right place eventually. He’s pretty close to the bridge area today.

Online reviews of Costco vs Sams club says they do.

What I have found is that they mix the terms in a confusing (maybe misleading) way. You get credit for gas purchases IF you use a Costco credit card for gas purchases. But you do not get credit for gas purchases toward the yearly membership rebate.

They also advertise that they will refund your cost of the Executive level membership if you don't get at least that much back in membership rebates. That has strings attached too. Read the fine print. They are careful to make it sound better than it actually is. At, least that has been my experience so far.

I did renew my Costco membership recently and think there is still some value in it.

Short night.
I woke up after 3 hrs, thought it was morning. I have no place to go, so ok for me, but my son ws still up. He was given conflicting directions on where to report for training at 7 am this morning. But I realized that at 10pm as I was helping him fill out his onboarding stuff. He was freaking out over it. Situation where they didn’t give complete info, and he didn’t know enough about things to ask.
I told him to go to where he went yesterday, which is one of the two locations his paper said to go to. It’s just report to a 3rd party large building, no POC and no room number. I would be freaking out also.
This is with a major large company you have all heard of.

That would be disturbing to a person who is starting a new job they want to get started on the right foot with. I hope he made it to the right place on time and without problems. Most likely they would understand that the instructions were confusing if he was late but......Hope it all goes good!

Whoa.....what news this morning, one of the main bridges in Baltimore harbor knocked down by a huge ship.
I went over that bridge in the rv last year...
news will be coming out if there were any vehicles lost on the bridge; they said multiple people in water.
I think that captain will now be delivering newspapers for a job.
the financial loss on this will run in hundreds of millions of dollars.

Contrast they way the Baltimore bridge looked compared to this bridge. But they are both subject to greater forces.

Took Zoe to the vet yesterday, while we were in the waiting room, she saw a dog that she wanted to meet, and pulled me so hard that my feet and the rug that I was standing on went out from under me. I landed on the quarry tile floor on my back. Wife was impressed that I neither hit my head, or let go of the leash. Of course, Zoe turned around and licked my head and cleaned my ears while I was down. Fortunately, no bruises or soreness today.

Sounds like you were very blessed to not incur injury. You've been living right!

The bridge collapse reminds us how fragile life is. The people who plunged into the river sure didn't expect that when they started out this morning. We have to be prepared for eternity at any moment.

I watched a video earlier this morning that had commentary about the accident and watched the video I can't find that video now. It was a simple and somewhat factual account of what he could see happening on the video. The ship losing power, then regaining power then the coal plume coming up out of the stack as she is reversed at apparently full power, he also had some tracking video showing the boat reducing speed in the few seconds prior to impact and that the port anchor had been released. The tracking video was some public view of shipping almost like the aircraft tracking software available. Then the moment of impact with the piling on the edge of the channel.

He got to the location he went to monday on time, his POC was in a meeting. He found out about an hour later he was to go to the other location, so got there late. My understanding is he is shadowing this week, and he starts training next week. They did send someone to meet him there and to show him where to go. I have worked in the building, so I knew he couldn't just show up at the door and have someone know where he was supposed to be. It's a very confusing building as it is, and parking isn't close. He was lucky to find 1 spot open to park in.
