Good morning!!!!

good morning, 24 going to 47 cloudy condition today

Had a nice Valentine day yesterday. Wife was happy. Youngest D and BF showed up all dressed up in finest with flowers and Bear with bow to celebrate wife. Was a real treat and surprise

We did do a drive down to Harpers Ferry that wife loves to visit.

Not sure what to get into today

The small amount of work yesterday on the overflow has kept the overflow from pooling on the lower driveway. Having the excavator makes many things super easy

Thank you Plow and RNG for comments and many others.

Mostly, this is a new neighbor. Agree enforcement is where this is headed.

RNG, watched some of the Caredge videos. I see what you are taking about making the finance manager frustrated.

23 outside this AM, heading to lower 50's. Looks to be a nice day shaping up.

After the animals are taken care of, I need to make a road trip to my Dads. That's going to set me back mentally for a few days. Still working on estate paperwork and legal stuff too.

Hope all have a good day. Be safe.

Put flannel shirt on and am in front of stove now.
When we came back from our HI trip. Both of us were sick for a week. Must have been from the climate change. Did not get sick going there.

folks travel with bad colds, you never know what someone nearby
is giving you unintentionally

Ron, your second avatar is fun. And Sassie will always be cute

moving slowly, not much reason to rush out into the cold

Good Morning.
17° and sunny, high in the upper thirty’s today.

Yesterday was another day on the mower deck. I got all the patches cut out and welded on. Welds are not pretty, but they’ll do the job. I was welding stainless to badly rusted mild steel, so the result was about what I expected. I also used an 80/20 argon/CO2 mix, when the proper gas would have included helium and less CO2.

You can see what I was dealing with, look at the metal in the front of the deck before and after the patch.

This morning, a friend is coming over to help assemble the mower, once that’s done, we have another project. He is a mechanical contractor, we are going to service the AC in a Jet. The mechanics that maintain the plane don’t have the equipment to reclaim and recharge the AC, so he will do it for them under their supervision, following the service manual procedures, keeping it all within the regulations, as the mechanics will return the airplane to service afterwards.

I guess I’ve got to get going and have my bowl of special K to get the day started.

Morning all, 17 going to 40 some clouds.
Day job took too much time yesterday.

Burpee is saying last frost for me is April 20 this year and tomatoes outside not until May 4th. They were spot on last year, since they are local kinda makes sense.

Feel better BEF.

Talked to my old coworker with long c19, he is still a mess, sad.

Another coworker put in her notice, she had enough.
I've been able to keep the "execs" away, but they keep hiring more and they keep setting projects back farther and farther. The project I was on has not moved forward in months, but the CIO gave glowing updates and numbers that we can't figure out where they came from.

Be well,

Good Morning Guys,
Ct, 15 to start going to 36 ! Sunny now but clouds coming in later ! Should be a good day for a long walk later this morning !

Scott, glad to hear Zicam really works. Never tried it.
Good Morning Wngsprd, Zicam works best if you take it before you actually get sick, so at least for me anyway!

BEF, get well soon !

Hope all have a blessed and safe day ! 🙏

Sounds miserable. Hope you improve soon. Chicken soup?

On that same note, I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!

30F headed to 48F here in Beautiful Northern Nevada.

Headed to CA today. Travel on I-80 over Donner Summit should be good. We are scheduled on Friday to see our dog's brother from the same litter. Last saw him 8+ years ago as a 7 week old pup.

Here is a pix of our dog we just lost. This was a few years ago while building our residence. We miss him so much ...

Good morning! 59˚F heading to 70˚ with cloudy skies and a southerly wind.
I mowed the yard on level one yesterday to cut out all the brown winter grass.
I also bought fertilizer yesterday to spread today so the yard will be dark green in a few weeks. The yard is Bermuda grass, St Augustine is prohibited because of the amount of water it takes.

Last Saturday on our walk we stopped to talk to a neighbor down the street. I noticed he was bleeding from a scraped on back of his hand and asked him about it he mumbled some answer like it was nothing. A few hours later his wife called 911 and an ambulance took him to the hospital where he was admitted to the ICU for 4 days. Apparently his scraped hand was the result of a fall and when the swelling (still don't know exactly where) started his condition worsened quickly. His wife was hosting th women's neighborhood Hand and Foot card game this week. Another neighbor volunteered to host but then that neighbor's husband started bleeding internally and is scheduled for surgery today. I told my wife not to volunteer to host the card game, it is rough on the husbands.

Good Morning!!!! 42F @ 7:30AM. Cloudy early with peeks of sunshine expected late. High near 65F. ESE winds shifting to WNW at 10 to 15 mph.

If I only got one guess, Billy, fun for you is a hike somewhere you've never been...

Tried to focus on getting the toilet in the master bath installed yesterday, but kept hitting detours. PO didn't paint the wall in back of toilet, and what the did paint was an awful color that sorta looks like refried beans. So I moved the toilet out of the way and got busy cleaning and masking the walls in preparation for painting. On one of the trips out to the garage for tools, I noticed that the shelf over the washer and dryer had fallen down. Just like the coat rack that was in that room, it had been installed with drywall screws shot through the wall with no anchors, and none of them hit a stud. And since they only used two brackets for an eight foot span, the shelf was sagging. I found the box of shelf brackets, dug out the stud finder, and half an hour later had the shelf back up in a way it'll never come down again. Sigh.

During all this I kept hearing garbage cans rolling around outside as the neighbors brought their cans in after collection. I also heard a truck stop in front of the house and more garbage can noise, and found a waste can and a green recycle can sitting by the curb in front of the house. Rolled them around the side and filled up the waste can with three full garbage bags. Just as I finished, the garbage truck rolled by, nothing I could do to stop it. Turns out there are three trucks: One for garbage, one for recycling glass, paper, and such, one for green yard waste like leaves and grass clippings. Yesterday the garbage truck was last in line, and I wasn't quick enough to catch it. Oh well, there's always next week. The garbage company still owes me two recycling cans, which I could probably fill when they get here.

Today the focus is once again on the bathroom. Fingers crossed it stays that way long enough to finish.

Hang in there, gang, Friday's comin'!

We are at 70f and sunny skies, calm here in between the shadows of the Capitol and the Alamo near the banks of the Pedernales in the midst of clear springs and limestone ledges.

Took the wife out to Cracker Barrel for sweetheart date last night. Haven't been there in awhile. The food was good, waiter couldn't get anything right, but we had fun and enjoyed the meal.

Sorry to hear you are sickly BEF. I hope that goes away soon.

Lots of great activity here on GM. Sounds like everyone is getting ready for Spring. Speaking of spring; cleaning up the yard and cleaning up the building is what we have been doing this morning. Took a break for some lunch. Gotta get back at it!

Have a great day everyone! Continued Prayers for our Nation and our leaders!
