Paperwork

Personally I in the past used to buy and sell ATVs once a year and only lose $200 on one. That changed in 2000
Yep. I'll go up to the County today and see if it's worth it...

61°F and .29 inches rain

Biggest accomplishment was getting new battery installed in Mule. Getting a socket on the POS terminal was a challenge. Started right up, but Neutral Safety switch is still bypassed until replacement arrives.

Gave up trying to drill a 1 3/4 hole in a metal plate to house a 240 receptacle. 3 different hole saws but none apparently sharp enough. Guess I need a new bit.

Today we host Happy Hour. Will be grilling burgers and dogs on the Primo. Some non member Mainland guests expected. Hoping for a nice day.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Good Morning!!!! 50F @ 9:00AM. Partial cloudiness early, with scattered showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon. High 56F. Winds SSE at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of rain 60%. Higher wind gusts possible.
The second front swept through last night, bringing high winds and 1.63" of rain before midnight. We saw gusts in the 45-50MPH range, and the wind had things banging and groaning all night.

The trip back up last week went fine, and so far we've got two bathrooms, the laundry room, and almost everything in the kitchen packed. To the point we're out of boxes. We need to run the ProMaster van down to the dealer this morning, and will stop on the way back for groceries and more boxes. And a battery for the DR mower, as I want to get that running again and take it down south to sell. More packing and loading before we head south again on Thursday.

Hope everyone's week gets off to a great start...

I have a 1995 ATV that I bought (not running) about 20 years ago, when I lived in Illinois. I fixed it up and it still ran fine (after I got here 3 years ago). I'm gonna see if it still does. The grandson has a dirtbike, which I can follow around. There are some good offroad "parks" around, but Iowa requires registration/title etc... before they allow you to ride it anywhere off your own place. I still (somehow) have the old bill of sale, but nothing else. There are needed prior owner info, forms, affidavits, photos, bonding to get the thing legal. Geez, they take legal ownership SERIOUSLY here. Might be more trouble than it's worth, for this. Maybe I'll just buy a new $13k+ UTV...
Update. I just got back from the County Recorders office. I gave her my old bill of sale and told her my story and about the online process, with pics - etc... She said "oh, you don't want to do that..." and asked me a few questions, filled out her computer stuff and poof - no problem. I'm out the door with a registration and sticker and $80 lighter. Wow, I'm liking living out here!

enjoying a fresh can of the Louisiana chicory coffee I had before, still is mighty good.
Glad you enjoy it. It will grown on you. I can reeally tell if I'm drinking "plain" coffee now.

Good luck with that tooth.

Wow that pix really captured the fury of this recent storm.

Close to forecast, we got 10" of snow, not a foot as expected. As of 4am it warmed to 35F with a little rain-- should be a nice mess by later today.

Came across another Blue Heron pix at my pond ...
Nice pic. Lot's of mess from the recent deluge of rain here too.

Good afternoon.

39F and sunny @ 17:00, high today was 43.2F ... a little chilly out there with the breeze.

Got a bunch of cardboard and burnables hauled up to the shop yesterday along with the tub support and the backing plate for the softener. Took six trips to haul it all into the shop from the car.

Then stripped some items (feet and hose clamps) off the old dishwasher yesterday and got it moved outside to load in the van. Still have to do that.

Grilled those strip steaks in the dark, Woman baked some potatoes and served some corn to go with them. Very tasty !

She also baked a Texas Sheet Cake, came out good ... although, personally, I would have preferred a little more peanut butter in the frosting ... but I sure ain't complaining ... ;)

Got a couple of bills scheduled for payment earlier today, meds for this week doled out.

Hauled the recyclables and trash up to the cans at the roads just a little bit ago.

Before I dropped those off though I ran the neighbor's insurance bill over to his place and stuck it in his mailbox.

Grabbed the mail on the way back in. The big Menards rebate check was in there ... showed it to the Woman ... and got the go ahead on the new refrigerator/freezer ! ... (y)

She's making a pot of ham and bean soup for dinner tonight.

Moved the inner tub from the old washer out of entryway and set it on top of the old dishwasher to go in the van.

Currently working on gathering more Menards rebate slips to send them in.

Probably work on getting that WonderBoard cut and screwed down tonight after dinner.

Hope everyone is having a decent Monday ... (y)

A pretty expen$ive lighter at $80.oo ;)
Well, that included the registration/transfer and annual DNR license to ride it off private land. Can't complain at all with the process. I think next year's annual "fee" is like $15.

almost two hours in dental chair, more torture, more money, but bridge saved.
there has been no washout...but what a headache that gave me.
mouth hurts, and wallet hurts too.

escaped from there, came home and got the greenhouse tied down to some heavy duty eye hooks.
then back down to hospital in langhorne to visit friend who had both knees done. He's doing ok, not used to being stoned
but enjoying what he can. He's clearly in pain, but managing, is walking and going to PT. All seems normal.
The hospital is almost totally dedicated to supporting a large ortho practice there, why it wasn't crowded feeling.
I think the hospital part was failing for years and they found a way to pay the bills by bringing in the well paid ortho practices.

glad to get out of there, wore my mask most of the time.
dropped off some car detailing stuff to my brother, to use on his M8, and he emailed back it worked great.
he was afraid to squirt stuff on the high tech dash. Good concern. This stuff is made for that, use the soft brush to rub it around, and then
scoop up with proper soft 70/30 blend synthetic cloth. Today's black dashes get a lot of fingerprints on them

running out of steam. long day. have a small shepherd's pie cooking, made mistake of not thawing it, and it's cooking
and cooking and cooking. I used a temp probe and it was still cold in the center last time. ok, back it goes.

heater on in greenhouse on low. Big test will be what temp is it in there tomorrow morning when it's below freezing out.
white tape came in this afternoon, I'll tape up all the seams tomorrow.

toaster oven beeped. 185 degrees please
