Good morning, the low is 34 and the high to 43°F. Wind ESE 11 mph. 60% chance of drizzle/rain.

Yesterday I went back to bed for a power nap at 9 A.M. and didn't get up until 12:30. Must have needed the sleep.

With the warm temperature today I think I will grease the tractor and see what else I can get into, outside.

Have a safe day all

Good Morning from Texas!

Ron and Buppies glad to see y'all moving about this fine morning! You too, L4N, saw you popped in while I was typing this.
It's 67f and cloudy this morning. I conked out early last night and woke up at 2am today. Got up to get the coffee ready and planned to go back to sleep but, out of habit, had turned to coffee pot ON and since it was making already I just stayed up. Got the real estate listings/closing all checked, trash taken out, cats fed and walked around outside looking around, thinking about some plans for today. Realized it was already 4am so thought to be an early bird on GM today.

Kyle, hope your back is better!

After being sore all over yesterday and no idea why, today I feel good!

Got the pin and washer for the loader yesterday and I knew it was going to be one of those easy/difficult tasks to get it back in. It was easy with 4 hands but impossible with only 2. But once the 2 extra hands arrived it popped right in. Shot a lot of spray lube on both sides and it works like new.

After getting the loader working and the forks attached there was time to take down one more tree in the area we are clearing out.

Plans for today: spend as much time as possible with my grand daughter who loves to be outside. Might take her to the farm.

Hoping everyone has a great Saturday and weekend!

good morning all
34 going up to 49 today in clouds and some mist apparently.
I'm up and moving, landlady coming for coffee early.
I got her some Swedish Kubb (almond sugar cookies).
she will likely bring me an xmas plant.

then....the main event. At 11am, a few guys including my brother are coming over to put the cover on rv.
Ken is well prepared, I have lots of rope, should only take ten minutes per the instruction video.
I'm figuring a bit longer than that.
that assumes someone wants to walk up there which we are trying to avoid with ropes and long poles.
good timing, quite the storm coming in tomorrow, two inches of rain and 50mph winds forecast.

I already told neighbor across the street that I expect them to wake up with my blow up Santa on the side of their house, blown
by the wind. of course once they unplug they quickly flop down.
i'm utterly amazed those blow up decorations are still going strong, 24/7 on their second season. Fan just runs and runs

slowly waking up. Coffee not very good. Time to try something else.
I need to treat myself to some really good (expensive) coffee for Christmas.
trying to find coffee for under ten bucks a pound that doesn't taste like ground up wood chips is hard...

this little cottage is porous as a sieve.
seems about every bug can get in.
Currently the lady bugs are showing up.
nice bugs actually.
I wondered why they came back to same place in kitchen.

Aha.....
it seems they mark their territory like so many other critters.

The ladybugs are attracted to lighter areas that have a dark feature, such as a crevice or a crack in a southeast-facing wall or window illuminated by the fall sunlight, says Dr. Brian Forschler, a professor of entomology at the University of Georgia.

The ladybugs enter your home through these cracks, and when they find a comfortable spot to hang out for the winter, they leave a chemical marker behind that serves as a calling card for the rest of their friends. That’s why homeowners will spot ladybugs gathering in the same location year after year.

31 going to 63. Then tomorrow they say 2 to 3 inches of rain and t-storms.

Buppies, love to hear more about what you're thinking on the snow prediction.

Took a nice slow hike around for a couple of hours yesterday...still no luck finding a 5-star tree for my wife to approve.

Then climbed into a tree stand to watch for deer and other wildlife...one big buck came by at about 100 mph...then a few minutes later I learned the reason...a single deer hound was on his trail. Had fun watching and reading my book. The buck ran right past a trail camera...moving so fast this cheaper camera didn't even catch him, although it did capture the dog.

Wife made homemade vegetable soup with chicken...so good.

Pebbles has already snatched 2 Christmas tree light bulbs and ran off with them. The hard part is finding the empty socket to put them back in.
I’m awake early today. Waiting for alarm to go off, don’t want to miss breakfast.

the real challenge here is I don't like heights and I don't think my brother does either.
when I was in fire school training 40 years ago and had to climb to top of three story ladder and then swing out on
to roof ladder, with Scott pack on, none of that bothered me but the height.
We joked later that you could hear my knees knock in the next county.
I was honestly afraid of bladder control and there was a guy coming up the ladder behind/beneath me.
I don't think I would have ever heard the end of that.

today I have a four step step stool. More than that? Find a friend....
probably why I don't fly any more, haven't in 20 years.

Good Morning
39 headed to 48 Indy mostly cloudy skies.

Yesterday was mostly puttering in the shop. Couple of projects for the little plane, I recovered the glare shield on top of the instrument panel with dull vinyl material and replaced the defroster outlet with a much improved version. There was a vacuum formed piece that contained the speaker and dome light that literally crumbled and fell apart. That part was no longer available, so I taped and glued all the pieces together and filled them with foam to make a form, and had a new one vacuum formed over the form. It came out pretty decent.

Glass beaded a piece of polycarbonate to frost it for the lens, hot glued it in place, replaced the old 1816 build with an LED and swapped the old rocker switch for a mini toggle. Should be a new lightweight speaker with a shielded rare earth magnet delivered by UPS today. These are about the last pieces to finish the project.

House cleaners are coming this morning, so as silly as it sounds, I’ve got to help the wife clean the house before they get here. Once they arrive we take Zoe over to the shop as they don’t enjoy her help. It seems not everyone is as enamored with a 110 lb puppy as me.

I’ll see what I can rig up to make a boat hook attachment for a telescoping painters pole, and then head over to Drew’s to see if we can cover the RV.

We switched to coffee with chicory many years ago. We haven't kept 'plain' coffee in the house since 1979 or so. There are many brands and we have tried them all. Even bought chicory and blended it with coffee ourselves. That was too much trouble. Cafe du Monde is my favorite brand. It's more expensive but I use about half to two thirds as much of it as the other brands.

You are right about regular coffee. There is too much saw dust in it.

Good Morning!

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly…).

41.7F going to mid 60w, rain all day. Rain started around AM, and there was just enough break to get the dogs out before the big blob on the radar arrives in about 6 minutes. . .

Concert was excllent, hunting yesterday was unsuccessful, I managed to kill another tree branch. . . But at least I had a good sighting and positive identification! It was too early to head back home so I went to the tractor shed and did some desperately-needed cleaning my/organizing for an hour.

Weather today means we will be working diligently on ensuring the couches do not wander off, them off to dinner with Mom and then Dailey &;Vincent at the Performing Arts Center tonight. But now to catch up on GM posts…

i hope everyone has a happy healthy safe blessed day!

Good morning! 65˚F heading to only 70˚ with the wind changing, blowing from the North and back in the 30s tonight.
Third Day without prescription pain meds and feeling pretty good. I only need Advil at night after an active day. I got this.

Today might be a good day to add manure to the garden and till it in with my EGO tiller attachment. Another nine weeks and the potatoes go in the ground. It is getting very dry again, the November rains had no run-off, our next rain month is June.

I also need to find some good whole coffee beans to grind with my hand grinder that I still uses every morning.

Good luck with your cover party drew! Long hook sticks and rope should keep y'all off ladders.

Head a little lighter and hair shorter. Then chipotle for lunch, where they slipped a bag of chips into my order I didn’t want, but took to avoid the refund hassle.
Way on hold for long long time to question medical bill, finally I left info for a call back, which they didn’t.
My FB site hit 30k subscribers, so FB turned on some automated administration, which now takes me longer, as I now have to check the riff raff they are now automatically letting join. One already put out a bunch of spam, which I had to delete. So much for them helping. Can’t find a way to turn it off yet.
Delete some subscribers and get back to 29xxx?
