Like to slip an apple into different things. Sophie usually puts in her tossed salads. I added one to my turkey stuffing last week.

RnG, years ago, bought a car cover for our MB S500. As I recall it was like a light canvas. Had it many years after the car, used to cover a number of different things. Finally chucked it when it got too moldy.

Coffee has been poured. 37° with rain this morning. Heading to 43° with cloudy skies. Got .76 rain so far. Yesterday was a good day to clean house and do laundry. Got it done. Still need to fold and put 2 backets of laundry away. Nothing else on the list for today.

Good morning, the low is 24 and the high to 30°F. Wind NE 11 mph. Sunny!

We got 9 more bottles of rubbing alcohol. The woman in the drug store said to sprinkle D-earth on top of the cat litter and watch 'em croak. She was right.
We also electrocute them in the kitchen with a food grade electric chair. Every time I hear it snap, I think to myself, another one bites the dust. Thank you Freddy.

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly).

50.0F might hit 60s, another damp dreary drizzly day forecasted.

POrk with noodles was excellent, will finish other half of pot for dinner today.

No decorating got done, but the sofas did not float away . Mole activity in walkway upset Harry, so he tried to eliminate the subterranean invaders. . .

Today *MAY* be some more decorating, we shall see how that goes - if it is raining I don’t want to drag stuff out of the shed, which is what happened yesterday.

Check, at 5.5 weeks after surgery I was able to go to sleep last night without prescription pain pills and the knee feels pretty good this morning. Hopefully no more refills.

Having fun with new 2 month old grandaughter...I was left alone yesterday to care for her while my wife took DIL to store and son went for a run. I fed her and we did great.

Also did a dump run, and then roasted coffee...it goes fast with them here, plus I like to send them home with some.

Ct, 42 to start going to 52 or so !
Rain came down at a pretty good clip last night ! We were going to take the grandkids over to the tree lighting at the FD, but they have been sick and didn’t want to stand in the rain ! Tonite we will be going on the Christmas Train Ride in Thomaston, Ct, with a party of about 18 people! Should be fun, and when we come home, it will just be Kathleen and myself, so peace and quiet once again !

I have to go to the FD about 2 pm today to make hot chocolate for a function that the FD is sponsoring downtown tonite ! They call it First Night, and I am in charge of it even though I won’t physically be at the event !

Mostly, yes we did utilize Hospice at the end !

Thanks for the report, Don. Wow - 5.5 weeks of pain. Wondering how high the pain was on a scale of 1-10, and what kind of pain pills?

Good Morning
45° with a high of 55° today. Foggy now, supposed to burn off as the day goes on.

Yesterday we spent some time designing the in-law suite aka our new home. Getting All the logistics in place for wife to be in two places at once the weekend, getting son and DIL up to speed on the details of accepting electronic payment and credit cards, as it seems that nobody uses good old cash any more.
Did a few more airplane sale related errands and tasks, but that is about ready to be wrapped up.

The new smoker control worked great, the pork tenderloin was delicious, sides were spinach and mashed potatoes along with some leftover Thanksgiving cranberry relish. Butter cookies and vanilla ice cream for dessert.

Today should be back to the shop to clean up the messes I have scattered everywhere. Cleanup and organization always seems to take a back seat projects and repairs. In other words, cleanup only happens when nothing more interesting is happening.

46 outside this AM, heading to mid 60's.

Nice and foggy outside. Looks to be an indoor day. In-laws expected late this afternoon. Now it comes out MIL had a fall and is in pain, yet they still are traveling by car with SIL to here. Then they want to go to their house another 3 hours away. SIL will then travel back to FL.

We have two places here on the property that can fully accommodate them. Yet they refuse to take advantage and are set on living elsewhere where we cannot get to them in a timely manner.

It will be really hard to keep my opinion to myself today.

41º going to 67º and sunny. Should be a nice day today.
Just a piddling around day mostly unplanned. Should be nice weather.
The barn cat decided an unused huge plastic storage bin is her catbox.
I'm not opposed, it keeps the dogs from digging up and eating her treats.
Easy to empty the bin into the SS bucket for a trip to the dumpster once a month. I added some kitty litter to arrest the smell. Still no mice so I'm not complaining. Field next door is full of gophers and mice. So far the cats and dogs are keeping them at bay. SS, Tractor, and my car stored in the barn. All show signs of the cats sleeping on them and zero rodent damage which was a problem before the feral cats arrived.
Much easier to feed the cats than mess with the traps and repairs.
