40 going to 71.

Thomas real nice thing you did.

LS, looks real good. Nice job.

Got a little work done on the ladder yesterday, not as much as I had hoped. But a few other chores are checked off.

71 today, so I may do bit of trim washing/scrubbing where the algae/mildew seems to like to hide.

43 outside this AM, may reach 70. They say rain might bless our area later tonight.

We are classified as in extreme drought conditions.

The wildfires to the South of us seem to have made their appearance here with smoky haze late yesterday. Buppies area.

Kylie, wife doing super all around. Daughter, physically coming around, mentally not well. Her finances are a wreck and her lifestyle has obviously been set back a few years now. She has got to find a way to push through this and get back into the rat race.

The sinks still have not shown up, 1930-1940 cast irons, so they are a two person project.

More stuff is ending up in the Milk House....LOL. Only thing for today is a few metal screws here and there, move some tools out, and make the bathroom tile ready.

Hope all have a good Friday, a good start to the weekend. Be safe, those ailing, get well.

Good Morning!

God has given us another chance to get it right (in spite of autokowrecked (or not screw up to badly)).

46.7 F going to mid-50s, overcast day in store.

Got ambitious and knocked together four pallets into a half-cord woodshed to get all the bits and pieces from the log delivery out of the driveway, then added a bunch of other wood from limbs I have cut and stacked the last couple years. Filled it up completely, nice to have more burnables under cover. I used some of the free shingles we got last autumn off FB marketplace to roof it, and Siri’s it down about 16” around the top. I decided to be lazy about it and used an air stapler instead of pounding in roofing nails.

also got the big log cut into a half-dozen pieces which now need to be split, but did not blow leaves… it isn’t like there won’t be more falling on the ground today, too!

today is an admin day, we got our invitations to go back to do tax prep work, so we need to go to the office to fill out that paperwork, then a dump run, a bit of running around, pickups at the PO Box, fill some gas cans, maybe lunch out… maybe I will blow leaves this afternoon? We’ll see…

I hope everyone has a happy healthy safe blessed day!

Good Morning Guys,
Ct, 42 to start going to 60 or so ! Sunny and warmer than normal, but have to work today, so warmer is good. Although the weather sounds like some rain passing through tomorrow, and then cold front coming through getting temps back to normal !

Still a little sore and some aches and pains from yesterday leaf removal, so will see how work goes today ! Pizza tonite with Kathleen and some friends, along with a couple beers !

Drew, hope your weather is improving today !

Hope all have a blessed and safe day !

Good Morning!!!! 56F @ 4:00AM. Showers this morning then scattered thunderstorms developing during the afternoon hours. High 69F. Winds SE at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of rain 50%.

There's a fair amount of light outside at night here, Bill. Lights on the front porch, another pair either side of the garage doors, and a mercury vapor street light right next door. None of that helps me see through the box trailer, and Amazon doesn't seem to carry X-ray glasses anymore. If my buddy here would remember to stand where they can be seen so I can use their hand gestures for guidance, it would solve the problem. Until then, I'll just keep hopping out from behind the wheel to see things for myself.

Got a trailer coupler lock on order to discourage the casual thief. Short of locking the trailer up behind a barbed wire fence, which I don't have, really no way to stop someone from stealing it if they're determined enough. There are several similar trailers in the neighborhood, so just need to make this one the hardest to steal.

Still scratching my head on best way to mount the hanging shelves. I think the ceilings in the garage here are not as tall as those in the old garage, and with no way to shorten the pieces of pipe, I might have to wait for another trip. I did find a box full of pipe dies, but no handle. SMH.

I did have a go at shortening the garage door track that hangs over the stairs up to the mezzanine. I was motivated by the many trips I made up there to install the shelving units I brought this trip. Drilled one hole to move the EMT struts back a foot, hacked a foot off the track with the demo saw, then cut up a tennis ball to cover the end of the track. Now it just grazes my head if I pass directly underneath, so hopefully no more gashes in my head. Ultimately I need to steepen the stairs to make them shorter, but that's a big enough project it'll get pushed back until after the bulk of the move is done.

More monkeying with the hanging shelves this morning, then a trip to the grocery store before dinner with my buddy. Maybe. They're getting a Moh's procedure on a melanoma today, and might not be in too good a shape for dinner.

TGIF gang!

Good Morning
36 and might make 65 this afternoon.

Yesterday was a day of puttering. Settlement got pushed back until this morning. So I didn’t have that, but I did go over everything so that there would be no hiccups, so this morning should go smoothly and quickly.

That left time to do some RC flying with son and grandson.

Not much else happened, helping wife get ready to go to a two day fiber festival to peddle her alpaca wares. She is heading out while I’m at the settlement, so it will just be me and Zoe until Sunday.
Playing music tonight, debating whether to bring Zoe over, or leave her in the house.

Hello !

It's launch time already. ;)

Had an early run together with one customer to visit another. I mean, if they could combine together there would be good competition for Chinese factories. Let's see, will they find a common ground

This week here is called "Patriot's week". Just between "Veteran's day" and Independence day, which is tomorrow. Everybody is a bit fancy and so
Few years back we have meet our president near our main monument at central park. Together with his wife he was just casually walking. Kids noted them and asked, hey Egil, can we have a pic together with you ? Sure, why not :)
This year at Veteran's day my secretary meet our (new) president at memorial wall. Again - no security, nothing. Just casually walking. Lit some candles, had a small talk with some people around
Before he become president he was minister of Foreign affairs (like your Secretary of State). My daughter had a summer job in kinda Starbucks shop and he went there every morning for coffee and newspapers. Then he was elected for president and next morning came in and said - sorry, no more. But just for a while, I will be not president forever ;) Nice dude
Sometimes it's funny to live in small state

Today kids had visit at National Library
Their teacher just dropped few pics at Whatsup

Good Morning PopG,
Beautiful model plane, almost makes me want to start another new hobby !

I’ve flown models since I was a preteen, starting with control line models.
But the current electric powered versions are a real game changer, and really brought me back into it.

Scott, I see blue skies and the sun.
nice morning out, though it's forever humid here.
took a nice long shower, dumped the tanks, filled up the water tank and that's all the chores.

going to try to find a spot to send up the drone today, someplace picturesque. Definitely not at the bird sanctuary; my luck I'd nick some protected egret.

it's fun to watch the fishing birds here, big birds, pelicans, big splash when they go in and they are successful if there is a quick head toss backwards, when they swallow the fish

I wonder if they know it would taste better with some lemon and curry...
