Good morning!!!!

decided if I broke the fitting somehow, I'd never get my shower.
So took a nice hot shower and now no way am I getting back on the floor working on that tonight. Figured out what was leaking, tried to tighten, no joy. Will try again tomorrow afternoon. Meanwhile depressurized the system, easy to do since I'm running on tank water.
I was surprised how quick I went through 30 gallons of water.
Filled the tank back up a little while ago.

pretty tired, been some busy days, not getting my naps for sure.
maybe tomorrow.
oh, toilet duty. Sigh
maybe they will have a local repair guy that's about 5 feet tall.
Well, at least you got a hot shower. You have 100% of my sympathy. One of the worst things for me is to have to work on plumbing in tight quarters. I hope you get it fixed with as little trouble as possible.

Coffee has finished brewing. 29° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 50° with sunny skies. Got grocery shopping done. Then cut wood for under pole barn doors. Still need to anchor them to concrete. Will work on that today. Will do some leaf blowing around garden pond. So neighbor can pick them up with trak-vac. Forgot to hookup vacuum to table saw. Need to cleanup all the sawdust in shop.
Taking a break from bird feeder cleanup.

56 going to 55. ? Low chance of rain.

Woke up thinking it was Saturday...sure of it.

Decided to use the likely last 80 degree day of the year to do some repainting of the trim on the barn on a section that was peeling. First scraped and prepped, then primed, then final coat.

Have a nice Saturday...er, I mean Friday.

It’s not Sunday, so it has to be Saturday.

Good morning, we are at the highest temperature today 35 and it is going down to 34°F. Wind WSW 13 mph. 40% chance of flurries.

I gave everybody a scrape yesterday just because. The one person that doesn't pay in money was belly aching about one of the stones/rocks around her garden that I dislodged, maybe she should clear her own driveway this winter. Then maybe she will appreciate everything I do for her and NEVER ask for a dime. Not even something to cover the fuel.

The new skin on the V plow isn't working the way I wanted. The plow is not a 'fail', it just needs some tweaking. That will get done in the spring.

My electricity charges are $0.87/kwh from May 1 to October 31 as long as I keep my usage under 600 kwh for the month. From November 1 to April 30 it is still the 87 cents but I have a maximum of 1000 kwh/month. I always overpaid the bill in the summertime so I wouldn't have to pay anything in winter when I make minimum money. So far I am 2.5 years ahead of them, assuming I don't pay them anything at all over the next 2.5 years.
I do the same thing for Bell (my internet and phone provider), but I am only 6 months ahead of them.

I think I am going to 'medicate' my knees and veg.

Have a safe day all

Good Morning!!!! 51F @ 3:15AM. Mainly sunny to start, then a few afternoon clouds. High 68F. Winds light and variable.
The weather is threatening to turn next week, with measurable amounts of rain in the valleys and snow in the mountains. The timing of it is all over the map, but it looks like it might be a wet trip south.

My body still hasn't switched over to PST.
I wanted to buy a bead blast cabinet from his widow, but she won’t take my money, not sure what I should do.
I have several tools from friends that no longer dwell in this plane. Whenever I use one, it brings back fond memories of how it found its way into my toolbox, and of the man that used to own it. If the widow wants you to have her dead husband's bead blast box, accept it as recognition of the kindness you've done for her, and as a remembrance of your passed friend.

Long wait at Costco for an old person's flu shot yesterday. First wait was to get the paperwork done, then the pharmacist had to activate the juice. My arm is a tiny bit sore at the injection site, but no other reactions. I was somewhat comforted at finding a very good Bourbon, Basil Hayden, on sale. The Costco down south doesn't carry it, so I used that as an excuse to stock up.

Didn't get anything packed yesterday, but hope to make up for that today.

TGIF gang!

Good Morning!

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly).

54.7F going to low 70s, drizzly damp day. Radar shows bulk of rain is north of us, maybe we will catch some precip later.

got some more wood up on the ceiling yesterday, need to mill more for the walls and gable ends, but things are progressing well:

IMG_0849.jpeg

Some trim pieces will need to be milled, the center seam will be covered by strips — it was far easier to just but the seams on the same studs than play mix-and-match staggering them. It isn’t like it is Buckingham Palace…

Mrs was on wood prep duty (move boards from truck to sawhorses, sweep sawdust off, move tools) and dinallybasked about using the square, so I let her try it out. This is good, because when we move to the walls I hope to have her doing the measuring and marking, too!

as the leaves fall, the views improve:

Show at pPerforming Arts Center tonight, mostly it will be an energy conservation day.

I hope everyone has a happy healthy safe blessed day!

Off today! Got up early as usual to take son to BB practice. Dropped him off and left. A few minutes later he called and said no practice today. Brought him back home.

Wet, cool, breezy and dreary for the next 5 days...At least maybe the cracks in the ground might heal. We haven't got but maybe .1 - .2" of rain so far.

Going to help wifey make a chicken pot pie casserole to take to our friends who lost their brother.

I hope everyone has a blessed day.

Good morning! Light rain .67" yesterday and .17" this morning. 52˚F, North wind.

Day 17 after Surgery
The PT gave me an app to download for my home work, I wonder if it reports back to her? Nothing pressing to get accomplished today just more rehab with knee, next apt with PT is Monday. It is still questionable if I can work at the "Farm" during the Christmas Holidays, The biggest problem is swelling witch make my knee very uncomfortable and I can't work with pain pills on board. Feel sorry for the people in Ohio who have to deal with impaired high people.

Drew, Hope you can find someone to tighten that plumbing fitting, if not a slow removal of all obstacles might be in your future.

Good afternoon !

Sky's color is like lead. But at least nothing falls down. Warm. +8 ... 10 C

Yesterday I drove from home to the new office on a motorcycle. For winterizing. In my case it means just disconnect the battery terminal. And put it on the shelf. I am not sure about their cars, but BMW's motorbikes are good.
You might notice snow plow above of the motorrad. Forecast says still won't need it for a couple of weeks. Which is nice

In the morning there was a meeting with the electricians. The "original" and the potential new. Let's see
Now waiting for internet dude. I have like access to the fiber optic line, but provider (monopolist) charges insane money for the connection. let's try via mobile.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mooses also live here. lot of. Any contact with them is dangerous. They are not predictable. I would say - rather stupid. Especially - calves live in the mindset that everybody will give a way to them. They are not afraid even from truck on highway. Take a closer look on those accident videos. they are not running away but standing in fighters pose. They have to learn hard way that Scania will win always
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

We are supposed to go to the "rancho" tonight, the wife is like "on the brakes". She doesn't like the idea of having to spend the night over there so I could start early and then have a productive day in the woods.
But we have to push, because a big rain zone is coming in. And wood prices are falling rapidly

That's about it !

Have a nice Friday !
Stay tuned, you might find here a report from woods :)
But I dont promise :)

Mostly cloudy with a chance of rain before lunch. It's 56 degrees and probably won't change for the rest of the day. I need to do a little grocery shopping, so I'll try to get out before the rains come. Otherwise, a slow day. Waiting on another AMS for the 3D printer and it's too humid to melt filament today. Maybe I'll do some laundry. I'm going to have to go commando or turn my underwear inside out for another run. :oops:
