been working on my trip routes, looking forward to having coffee with Mr & Mrs Buckeyefarmer/Dennis at their home in Maryland on Wednesday.
Then I head South the next day and stop in Roanoke to have coffee with Buppies. Frits and Riptides were both tied up. Will get them another trip.
I want to do more shorter trips next year, so hope to spend time in Virginia with my brother and visiting folks.
these long trips are fun, but so much work to plan doing this by myself. Each trip I'm learning to slow down even more.
There is just no rush at this time of life.
I had a cruise to the Bahamas planned for February. Much too late I realized the suite I chose was under the dining area above and numerous online
reviews panning the room for excess noise. Not going to spend five grand to be kept up at night, I'm a light sleeper. So I called the cruise line and they told
me so sorry, no other suites left. 250 dollar deposit down the drain, but that's my error. Should have done better homework. Now you put your cabin number in youtube and someone for sure has reviewed it. Live and learn. So no cruise for me, that money should pay for rv trips next year. Honestly I booked it on a whim, and had second thoughts.
A week on a cruise ship all by myself, guess I could look for a rich widow...
an alternative use of that money is to winterize my garage, insulate it, bring more power to it, and finally have a wood shop I can use in the winter.
Car sits outside anyway. Phil's beautiful woodworking is motivating me to sniff some sawdust.
weather warmed up here, glad to leave on Tuesday in dry weather.
