On the first PT, the day after surgery, Wednesday, I got to 103˚ knee bend. Second PT, today, I got to 108˚ knee bend. I did not loose any flexion during the peak swelling - 72 hours after surgery.

The "easy" at home PT has only 4 more sessions, (Only 6 in home allowed by Medicare) then I'm scheduled With The Doctor - Lopez, DPT that's when knee bending gets very serious and improvement each session is mandatory. THE BEND will have to be reach 130˚ and perfectly straight the other direction. The Doctor will also make sure my gait is young again.

A lot of hard work ahead.
OK, so how many days out are you from the actual surgery, and what is the pain level? On a scale of one to 10.

I was grilling on the deck this evening when there was a loud BANG down below my house. At first I thought a muzzleloader, but wife said electric flickered. Fuse blew on the power pole feeding the barn next door. Fortunately only the barn effected. However, my weather station isn't reporting anything now.
My sermon is ready for Sunday, My yearly turn to speak to relieve our minister. Tomorrow I have to lead a couple songs at a funeral / celebration service.

Surgery was Tuesday at noon.
Right now pain level is one with only 1/2 dosage of pain pills.
Pain was very manageable today.
Exercise, ice,rest, repeat.

What snow say it ain’t so. Look for November to turn mild after next week thru first of December. Thomas not so much
They already removed snow for Wednesday although the hourly still shows some. Looking back at old pics tonight, I saw one year we had several inches of snow on Oct 29th.

good morning all
supposed to almost set a heat record here today, 81 degrees, from sounds of it, won't last long as cold
is coming in right after it.
I'm leaving on the 7th of November and getting home the 27th. For all of your weather whisperers,
please keep the snow away from this area til I get home.

busy morning. BIL and son coming over early to try again on the rv steering stabilizer.
It should go easily but we said that the first time.

then old friend comes over later this morning to help me set up that Calyx wifi hotspot I bought. Involves sim cards and other
setup I have zero experience with, so we will do it together, two eyes being better than one, and a second set to read off tiny numbers
from side of box. Trip to Florida will be the test to see if it works better than Verizon, which hope it will.

Ron, that very bright moon is pretty here, coming through the drapes at night

if everything works today...will be a very good day.

(as one of my favorite websites says: We're going to test that!)

Don, keep making good progress. Need to get you back on the tractor and in your garden

58 going to 85.

Ron, my wife and I sat outside watching that moon rise. Also, really nice seeing it when I woke up at 2am...it lit up the yard where the raccoons were raiding the bird seed left on the ground for the doves.

Got about 15 minutes of clear sky yesterday about 9pm. Then clouds moved in. Maybe a better view this evening.

The moon was beautiful last night animals really moving about. More leaves to blow in yard and surrounding areas really looking up. Every fall wife says it reinforces her desire to live here

54 outside this AM, heading to lower 80's. Yep.... warm.

The wife decided enough on the bugs, she sprayed the house down...serious chemical warfare. It was the end of days for the little critters. She promptly left the premise shortly thereafter. I dealt with the residuals, probably shortened my lifespan by a few years. Whatever she used...was effective.

Today is pickup day at the local HD. Water Heater and inside supplies and fixtures for the Milk House. Looks like I will start digging, Monday. Need to finish up the walkway entrance wall today. Metal will be cut as I am using/reusing old shed roofing material for the walkway walls. Should be fun.

Hope all have a great start to the weekend. Hope those in recovery and/or ailing fare well.

Good Morning Guys,
Vt, 58 to start going to 68 ! The hammer will drop tonite ! High of 48 tmrw !

Gave myself a haircut yesterday. I've used one of those round bladed head shavers to give me a #2 all over, followed by a beard trim and an ear hair clean out
Wagtail, I do the same thing, there are some advantages of not having much hair ! 😁 The wife will do the back if I miss any spots ! 😉

Don, glad to hear rehab is going well, although I can understand the pain while trying to expand the range of motion !

Ron, nice pic of the moon , we had a nice view here about 9 pm, with a break in the cloud cover !

We are headed out to Lake George around noon today to visit with some old friends and then Taps Pub in Poultney tonite for burgers and a beer !

Kyle, congrats on the clutch job, yes it looks like a lift would be a benefit to you for that job !

Hope all have a blessed and safe day ! 🙏

Good Morning!

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly).

59.1 Fyoing to upper 70e, mostly sunny forecasted.

so Wednesday evening , I managed to twist my wrist opening the Subaru hatch and it was JUST the right angle to re-trigger my carpal tunnel HORRIBLY MISERABLY BAD, so no typing yesterday. Still quite uncomfortable today, but at least functional. I couldn’t hold the pad for more than a thirty seconds… call to Chiro Monday morning to try and see if they can fit me in somewhere…

The truck and trailer got unloaded Thursday but obviously did not get stacked, at least the truck is available for use again.

yesterday, we went on a walking tour of the Oconaluftee a village for a Halloween Ghost Hunt. It included some storytelling, Cherokee ghost lore, and true crime stories. Would definitely do it again next year!

we drove up early and instead of doing the usual direct route, went sortakinda in the opposite direction for the first part of the trip to pick up the Blue Ridge Parkway to get the peak of the leaf color:

Today’s activities will be determined by carpal tunnel, probably will be a good day for hitting the thrifts and fleas, then dog walk at woodlot —- Bailey needs to enjoy the final days of being un-Harried 😂🤣😂

I hope everyone has a happy healthy safe blessed day! Now to catch up on two days of GM…

62F, overcast, poor air quality. Yesterday afternoon was tee shirt weather. Very nice for late October. I mowed at the farm. The grass has slowed down and there were not too many leaves down. Went pretty quick so I got the lane and the meadows done too. I can probably stretch the mowing out to 10 days or two weeks.

In case you are not quite done with summer.

Take care
Chris
