Found a box of assorted bavarian pretzels at Costco yesterday.... we're gonna sample some of 'em tonight. I really miss the soft pretzels sold back in philly.....

At one point, I looked into getting a couple dozen shipped out here... only around $20 for them.... and $75 for shipping!!! ---- that's not gonna happen.....
Is this the pretzel they sell at Costco, if so is the price comparable?

Thanks guys.
Very nice dinner with wife.

Not so good on the scag though. Wire proved easy, but apparently a problem downline, starter doesn’t crank at all. No clues as to way to diagnose. Scag pretty tight with that info I guess. Ido hear a click in vicinity of the electric module, but no clue if that’s normal. Tomorrow.

Coffee is brewing. 54° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 78° after some morning fog. Then sunny skies. Did some cleaning of old fridge before it is picked up recycling on Tuesday. Plugged it in while cleaning. It is working again. Since getting new fridge my power usage has dropped 2 kwh per day. Did some exterior paint touch up before putting paint away in cellar. Landscape lights are not working on Garden Pond. Finding out why that is happening will be todays project.
A few flowers are still blooming in my fields.

Prayers and best wishes for everyone.

Good Morning All.

58 and foggy, going to 78 and sunny.

Happy Big 40th Anniversary, Sophie and David!
Look at this doosey. Full disclosure, this is a strata change in the soil, but it usually heals up after good rains. That is my size 11.5 foot.
Still hot and dry here. 97 + humidity and bright sun today too.

While drinking coffee this am, I was trying to figure out what project I wanted to work on..... a buddy called and said he was coming over with his track loader and pond rake. That solved that figuring out.

So, I rushed out, and got the tractor fired up so that I could trim around the pond. The pond is very low due to the drought. I haven't mowed in months. Only real green is weeds, and around the pond. These weeds are normally covered in water. I wish they'd die.

While mowing around the pond, I saw some critters. Find the critter.

Is that a raccoon by the water?

good morning all and happy October.
lovely day today, sunny and nice

today I clean out the garden and put the bagger on the mower.

we have so much water here, would love to send it to some of you.
though technically down an inch from average
I bet this map for Texas looks nasty...

RS, haven't heard from you, doing ok?

Ted, if you PM me your home address, I promise to get you a few true Philly pretzels. Easy to pack them up and ship them; you'll have to provide
your own mustard

that pond cleaning video was very interesting, never saw that before

My guess is an interlock switch or it’s connection and/or wiring.

Good Morning
55 and going to the upper 70’s under a clear sky.

Yesterday started with driving to the airport for a trip to New Hampshire in the new Prius. It made the 33 mile drive as an EV, I’m still figuring all the systems out.
I plugged it in to a 120v outlet at the airport while I went off on the trip. It was fully charged when I got back. It drives the same on battery as it does when it did when I picked it up without enough charge to run in EV mode, and ran on gas for the ride home.

The trip was uneventful, the tops of the clouds were low, this was at 3000 feet. Some weather over Long Island and Cape Cod, but we were over it at 31,000 feet.

Made the usual stop at Mission BBQ for lunch, had some excellent Chicken. The goal for the ride home was to try out the radar cruise control on the turnpike, adjust the volume for the GPS prompts and find the tone controls for the JBL stereo. Pleased to say that I achieved them all. Now I know why Drew wanted adaptive cruise control. I set it for 73, was behind someone doing 55, and it followed them at a very safe distance.
IMG_2747.jpg

When I moved over into a lane that was going faster, it sped up to 73, and slowed down nicely to follow traffic on the off-ramp. The spacing is adjustable, that was set at the maximum follow distance. A lot more to learn, but I like it a lot.

When I got home son and his family were there flying model airplanes, grandson was in the barn helping his grandmother, Zoe was enjoying the outdoors as well.

I visited with them, but didn’t do much else than study the manuals and figure more Prius stuff out.

Today will start with going over to my friend’s hangar (he recently passed away at 67 from a massive heart attack) to sell some of his equipment for his widow. I have an agreement on the plane that is in there, the goal is to out of the hangar by the end of the month. Also have to take his grandson up in the plane before it sells.

Probably go over to the RC field after lunch, not much else planned. Today is my birthday, we will all get together for dinner, but not today.

Good Morning!

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly).

56.6F going to low 80s.

Show at Arts Center was really good - a Neil Diamond Tribute band that actually has some “street cred”— The Killer Vees, who include four members of singer Bobby Vee’s family (two sons, a nephew and a grandson).

Took the last of the tomatoes and made a big batch of sauce with four pounds of meatballs, so several meals are taken care of over the next week or so.

lice maker in freezer quit working, so I need to diagnose and fix that . . . Yay. . .

After church, Harry is going off for Round Two of Training, so Senior dog will have four weeks of peace and quiet!

speaking of which, time to start getting ready for church.

I hope everyone has a happy healthy safe blessed day!
