Coffee is cooling in cup. 61° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 66° with slight chance of rain. I bought a trash can trailer hitch for the Mule. Modified it to work with multi purpose ball hitch. I can now tow trash can without trying to tear wheel off it. Then went to neighbors to install a digital deadbolt on barn service door. Old deadbolt install was done with a hammer and chisel. Took several tries to get new deadbolt to work smoothly. Then went out for some ice cream. Came home to watch NASCAR.
Some garden pond maintainace today.
There has been a lot of young Blue Bird's this year at my place. They are finally maturing.

75 in Rodanthe NC, which is higher than the high of Gloucester VA where I'm headed at 8am. Should be a 3.5 to 4 hour drive.

my neighbors went out to dinner last night so I missed my smoker dinner. I did get some nice drone pics of their rvs and left them a note with my email address saying if they wanted pics, to email me. They were nice folks. One of them had a brand spanking new fifth wheel, and when he went to take a shower here, no hot water. I tried to help him with his instant on heater but it would not ignite. Some safety nanny probably shutting it down. He called the mfr and they think a bad board. I bet he's not happy taking a cold shower, though his wife said she went next door to friends and showered there. Just normal rv stuff.
It all seems to break. Bath house not far away at least.

I'm still sleepy too Buppies. More coffee.

Good evening all. 79ºF for the start, partly cloudy sky, very light breeze. Light wind some some brisk gust s in afternoon, Sky clouded up later in day, and high temp was 96ºF, HI 103ºF. Chapel to start day, pancakes for breakfast. Puttered while wife slept, some leaf control on front and back porch. Conserved energy during heat of the day, After dinner worked on charging boat batteries, put 5 gal in tank, taking it out early in morning to heal with fish survey.

Weekend was nice, road trips for wedding and household items. Wedding was fun, except for the drive in the rain and darkness. We had between two to four inches of rain here on Saturday. Nice, but we are still way below where we should be.

Need to work on the pool for closing and finish up some landscaping tasks.

Got more furring strips up after doing more rearranging of things to get access to that wall.

Pj bad neighbors , what a headache. My friend had a dogo and it was well behaved and good around other dogs, owner issue i guess. Sounds like wedding was lots of fun.

Will need to empty water out of pool and grab a few more pounds of leafs :-(

Close is Monday if everything comes together.

Good Morning!

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly).

54.7F going to touch 80, mostly sunny day.

Oodlot trip after church was productive - Mrs split more wood, I re-graded spot behind shed where the carport will go, made it about 6 inches lower for extra clearance for the roof of the excavator canopy. That should be assembled in the next week or so. I do need to pick up some more sheet metal screws for assembly, and dig out some brackets for the uprights. A couple bags of concrete and schlep up some scaffolding and put it together.

today begins with trip to the chiro, doing some grocery shopping for Mom, some admin tasks , and maybe some more time up at the woodlot, depending on how day goes.

Ct, 54 to start going to 60 ! Another day of rain, making it three in a row !

mostly_gas, it shoukd have been spelled missalette, which means, a shortened form of missal published periodically for congregational use. What i was trying to convey was the church program for the church service, with prayers and readings that all the parishioners can follow along with ! Obviously my German is better than my English !

Today is my last full study day before going to DMV in morning to renew my license and study for hazmat knowledge test ! So I guess its good that the weather is rain !

Maybe a little after puttering in the garage this afternoon, never seem to get that work bench totally cleaned up !

59 which might be the high (and low) for today. Chance of rain, but not like the last two days that brought us 2-1/2”.

Yesterday was a day of little chores, got the breaker installed and the wire landed for the EV charging station, a little bit of a challenge for 6ga wire in a completely full panel. At the other end of the cable in the garage, I have the cable into a junction box, and a piece of plywood attached to the wall to mount station when FedEx delivers it today.
I’m still waiting for the dealer to get the title to the car so I can pick it up, so I will ready when it gets here, but I have the 20a 120v receptacle that I added Friday as a fallback. Actually that was my original plan until I remembered that I had the heavier cable in place.

The open house went better than expected, people actually came out in the pouring rain, shopped in the store set up in the the garage and walked to the barn under umbrellas.
One person came to my shop door, I told him it was next door but come in out of the rain. He looked around and said he was in heaven,as he was a retired high school shop teacher after almost 40 years. The front door of the shop opens into the machine shop, I took him for a tour of the wood shop and welding and metal forming areas as well. Then he remembered that his wife was in the car, and took her next door.
I think I had as much fun showing him around as he had. And we didn’t even make it upstairs! Apparently shop geeks all think alike.

Today will be back to the TSA project, at least until FedEx arrives with my charging station. With any luck maybe my car will ready to pick up.

Good morning! 76˚ heading to the 90s, cloudy, 20% chance of rain. Light wind from every direction today.

The second wave of rain never came last night but the official rain total in the backyard was 1.23" in that half hour. It's like all the vegetation outside is letting off a big sigh - AHHHHHHH.

If it dries will have to mow, at least I should be able to see what I mowed now that all the grass is growing not just the grass by the sprinkler heads.

On her morning walk my wife reported 3 cars with hail damage and one patio cover blown off.

The news is showing a lot of hail damage from last night, the only damage I can see close by is a neighbors tree got blown over. He is on the list for a lung transplant and I'm on the list for a new knee so it will probably be there a while.

Got bills paid. Next month is huge CC bills with wood pellets and airline tickets.
