Friend I grew up with just retired a few years ago (Master Gunnery Sergeant), elected to spend his last two years of active duty in an Osprey. When he said he was doing it, my reply was, "On purpose?!" He loved it, but acknowledged that they have some issues. One failure left them stranded at a small town airport for about a week until a replacement part could get there. Said the town's people found out why they were there, and brought the crew home-cooked meals every day.Another tragic Marine Corp Osprey crash, training in Aussie land. Prayers for the families of those lost, and for the injured to heal. I would NOT join the Marine Corp right now, if I knew I was going to have to fly on an Osprey.
The California, Hawaii, Canada (and other) fires have been a terrible thing, especially for folks living there like you and for those downwind....the ember storm that swept through Paradise, and the fire tornado that almost took out all of Redding, CA, left very few homes standing like that one in Hawaii. And even if your home doesn't burn down, you still have to live with the smoke while it's burning everyone else's home.
Maybe he brought back some new family recipes.Good worship, and our lunch spot is open again. Good ole Tony is back from Italy.
I need to remember to buy E0 gas when in VA. None near me.
It's just plain crazy, Drew. A while back they stopped allowing people to register Diesel trucks over a certain age. Earlier this year they outlawed sales of new devices that use small gas engines, like string trimmers and blowers. Trying to force everyone to go with electric/battery power.RNG, isn't California extra tough on those regs?
