All fuel used 93 octane non ethanol treated at end of season

Thanks Thomas
I swear my Husqvarna chainsaw will run off spit and will power.

I mixed up 2 gallons of 50:1 gas for it about 4 years ago. Non ethanol gas was used. Didn't treat it.

Anytime after that when I needed the saw, I would give the can a shake and then top up the gas in it.

I finally finished off that gas this spring. Never had a lick of trouble with that saw.

Currently 70° out. Was nice walking the pooch this morning. Sicked her on the grandkiddo to get him up when we got back from our walk The kissy monster makes a better alarm clock

We got an appointment this afternoon with a local camper sales place. Narrowed down and finally made a decision on what's gonna work the best for us to live in for a bit out on our property.

Settled on a fifth wheel with middle bunk room. It has a loft for extra sleeping and an extra 8x8 room off the kitchen.

One we are getting is used and missing the recliners for the living room. But has a couch in the bunk room. We're getting them to move the couch out to the living area.

Bunk room is gonna be used as a pantry/ extra closet space/ storage.

I'll get my buddy to haul it out to our property with his semi

Good Morning!!!! 68F @ 6:30AM. Sunny. High 96F. Winds light and variable.

Thanks for the set screw link, Kyle. I've passed it along, but no telling when he'll get aroundtuit...

Yes, it's mostly about defensible space when it comes to wildfire out here, Drew. I say mostly because the ember storm that swept through Paradise, and the fire tornado that almost took out all of Redding, CA, left very few homes standing like that one in Hawaii. And even if your home doesn't burn down, you still have to live with the smoke while it's burning everyone else's home.

My buddy down south has a landscape business and maintains a gas powered string trimmer, mower, blower, and hedge clipper. Just uses pump gas in all of them. Swears by Echo tools, but when they get to the point where they have trouble starting, just ends up replacing them. That's because shops want $250-$300 to replace the carb, and none will take time to rebuild a carb. Doesn't take much more money than that to just buy a new tool, and there's no waiting around while the shop takes their time with a repair. When I helped put a new roof on the back yard shed, we had to move out a couple old lawn mowers, blowers, and trimmers, kept in case some other part outside the engine breaks. No interest in battery powered tools because batteries don't last long enough, at least not yet.

Power went off at about 10AM, PG&E had it back on by noon. Never heard why it failed, but solar power system output dropped to almost nothing the rest of the day. I've see this before, and it always returns to normal the next day, so I wonder if it's something in the inverter software that's glitching. I'll need to keep an eye on it today to make sure it self heals again.

Ordered some additional tie down anchors for the van yesterday, along with a cargo net to hang behind the front seats. Found used-like-new on eBay for half the price with free shipping.

Also want to hang a curtain made from heavy moving blankets behind the front seats in the van to help keep the noise out of the driver's compartment, and the conditioned air in. Picked up a curtain rod last week, and just need to fab up some mounting brackets. So I'll fiddle with that today. Not sure what the rest of the day will bring.

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend...

birds fed, car washed, took my time with it and dried it off with a towel.
Just as the sun was starting to shine on it. Done in time.
car wash has some carnauba wax in it and it spots if I don't wipe it in.
that saved sixteen bucks...

I washed the engine compartment carefully the last time I washed the car.
Then blew it out for a long time with an air pressure gun.
never thought it was a good idea for water to sit in the nooks and valleys.

while I had wash mop out, cleaned some house windows, the ones I see when I come in.
then worked my way around the side and washed down both doors and the areas around them.
then I tied up the hydrangeas which were flopping down in front. Blooms are huge and heavy,
stalks can't support them.

picked a few cherry tomatoes, see a few more on the vine.
think I'll go out later when I've cooled off and prune them back.
Anything that doesn't have flowers on it by now, off it goes.

have four eggplants getting plumper.
that level of excitement is fine with me

Morning all, 76 going up to 82 and sunny.
After fixing fill, found a leak in boiler, seems my work was a waste as the top of the boiler had rusted through when I got the pressure back up to normal. Had a guy in to look at it last night and he confirmed the lip on the top boiler cap is rusted through and the seal has gone.
I guess 40 years on this Tarn is a good run but now $$$.

Wife is sick, seems she was forced to wear a mask in Dr. office the other day and now has an infection on her face where the mask was. She will be on antibiotics for a while :-(

Be well
