Good Evening Guys,
Nice day at the track, weather held till we were ready to head out at the 8 th race !
Kathleen hit the trifecta in the third race ! That made her day, I didn’t do as well but didn’t lose much either !

KilroyJC, I have had very good luck with the Sea Foam product, and also with Marvel Mystery Oil ! I have a Honda engine on my splitter, that engine has been close to bullet proof !

Air filter? My lawn mower did that. Looked clean...I replaced it and woha...

Filter is new-ish, it also did the sputter&die with the filter removed as a test.

left at 8 am, pulled in at 8 pm. Lot got mowed again. It was heavy, had to mow slower. Had greeters when I arrived.
Reminded why I don’t like to go on Saturday, lots of traffic. Had to take detour on way home due to accident.
New batteries in cell cam and it’s sending pics again.

I had a mower that acted like that. The gas tank cap vent hole was blocked.

Another hot day but I did manage to mow the back yard early. 103˚ backyard, 106˚ on the truck driving on asphalt. No clouds today. Just walking from the truck to the store feels ike an oven.

Hospice is turning out to be a good cat and is looking better with his new beige fur finally starting to grow back after his short haircut in June to cut off his matted fur. He is an 18yo Persian cat a little deaf and bad vision. He does not scratch furniture or throw-up and has a good appetite. He likes to lay in laps and is not very active but does get exercise by following us around the house.

Pop, I'd love to go see Asleep at the Wheel...was just watching a you-tube of them with the Quebe Sisters this week.

Saw a few today that looked to be asleep at the wheel.
Saw one Karen doing some road raging. She drove thru construction area, behind the barrels to pass someone and get behind someone who must have wronged her somehow. She proceeded to just lay on her horn. Both cars then proceeded straight from a left turn lane. At next light she layed on horn again. After that light changed she followed the other car a mile, then she pulled onto shoulder. After I went by, she then did a youturn. So at least 3 traffic violations from her.

I got gas 4 times today. Once leaving in AM, then 2/3 of way down it was 3.39 (3.79 some places). so filled up again and filled a gas can. Then on way back topped it off again, and filled 3 more gas cans.
Then topped off again near home at Costco for 3.50.

Good evening all. 82ºF for the start, mostly clear sky, light breeze. windy with gust up to 25 mph, partly cloudy sky and high temp of 104ºF,HI 111ºF. Bike ride to start day, then lunch nap and dinner with Stepdaughter and her hubby.
RS 6 inch is a lot of rain.
Ron that was a recent price, sorry you got burned. Sorry about weather messing with coop work. Hope no damage from storm. Turkey looks curious.
Thomas sorry about the longer than normal walk. Hope you hold up.
Mike front porch sounds nice at 66ºF. I have plenty weight if you want any . Hope chimney doable for you.

Paul sorry the mess the C-17 made of operations. When presidents came to St Louis, they landed at Lambert, right next to I-70 my route to/from work. That made mess of traffic, and often come of go during rush hour Nice pic. Hope chores went well today.

Coffee is brewing. 57° with some clear skies this morning. Heading to 78° with a mix of sun and clouds. Had a power outage yesterday morning. Power lines down on the ground from a tree falling on lines about a mile from my place. Took about 8 hours to get everything back up and running. My whole house generator did it's job. Nothing got done because of weather. No plans for today.

Went to one of our favorite Restrauants last night closed what’s up with that. Wife lost debit card yesterday some checks found those.

had fun with drone yesterday. Too many trees near me and lots of power lines.
Sure does go way up in the air...
still won't return to home, says i'm too close.
going to let my drone expert friend fiddle with it and see if I have some adjustment off.

Ron, your camera sure has a marvelous lens, the photo detail is like looking at 8k video, you see
things you never saw before. Too bad high rez video makes such big files, hard to email.

was disappointed not to see more neat cars on the road. Yesterday's car show was US cars, today is foreign.

if the town wasn't so mobbed for the show, I'd go down to the Delaware River and try to get some drone pics out over the water.
Need a little more practice before I do that likely. I don't think these things will motor back to you...

Buppies, enjoy that mower. I might have to wait until after a rain moistens the ground to mow...grass is brittle.

Kyle, sorry it's so hot and dry there. Sounds like you're getting a nice satisfaction in your job.

Went to some friends' place on the river yesterday and ate steamed crabs...really good. He was scheduled for hip replacement and the pre-op tests found a tumor in his lung...going for a biopsy, and then likely lobe removal.

Morning all;
A bit of an almost cool morning at 68 now. Had a retirement party to go to yesterday for my Sister in law, not a bad shin dig. Lots of good food food had 8-10 different salads and some grilled chicken. Supposed to eat about 5 but my nephew was cooking the chicken using a newer indirect BBQ that he got, nice rig but he didn't realize how much different 80 split chicken halves were going to take time wise then just a couple of them, so the chicken started coming off around 8. Long wait with the smell of chicken drifting through the air. But a good get together. Mostly her family and ours.
Then up about an hour ago walking a cramp out of my leg and now my first cup of coffee is almost gone, may be a 3 cup morning.

So I went out to fire up the log splitter for the first time since last year, and it started on the second pull! YAY!!!


and then, after about two minutes, it sputtered Coughed sputterEd, stumbled, sputtered then died.

pulled it again, started right up, then repeat.

gas was fresh, used two days ago in pressure washer with no issues.

pulled carb, looked clean, sprayed it all out with CC, reassembled.

Started, smoothed out, then sputtered stumbled etc.

any suggestions?

purchased in 2014, warranted for new engine in 2015 (factory forgot to install wrist pin retaining clip, wrist pin walked out while running… not my fault.)

never had an issue with it before.
