I looked up most powerful piston airplane engine
this apparently took the prize but they only made two, not exactly a production engine.

I’ve seen one at the Smithsonian. I think it was the Udvar-Hazy at Dulles, not the Air&Space museum on the Mall downtown.

On lobster...at a work location in the middle east.. the local Safeway carried them. They were cheap too. I ate them till I was sick of them. Not kiddling... steak and lobster.. steak and lobster....till blah.. LOL.

Anyone tried Monk Fish?
Supposed to be poor man's lobster. Grilled it a few times.....not bad.

Just sat down from push mower. Wife agrees to get rid of Bush hog in favor of a finishing mower. Guess I will clean it up and post it on marketplace.

any suggestions?

THANKS!!!!

First guess would be fuel. That engine has a fuel pump that uses crankcase pulses to move a diaphragm to pump fuel, as the tank is lower than the carb.
Pull the line off the carb, and pull the starter, see if it’s pumping (what appears to be enough) fuel.
Second guess would be a sticking valve, to check, remove the rocker cover and push on the rocker to depress the valve, probably have to rotate the engine to get to a position where the valve would seat fully (like TDC on the compression stroke), and measure the lash while you are at it.

Good (Sunday) morning. A frosty overnight Low of -1.6C and it's presently -0.8C (heading to a predicted 12C). It's clear and calm.

Yesterday I finished up the wattle tree 3D puzzle and then the pine tree that was overhanging my roadside fence. Whilst that was happening the 'Mad Agisting Horse Woman' & Daughter dropped by; her to trim her horse's hoofs and the Daughter to go for a ride in the State Forest (which I boarder). I took her out a cup of tea and had a lovely conversation.

Well, I'm off to Church in a few minutes and then the rest of the day is His.

That's about it, take care all.

On a work assignment. we had house keeper/cook where we could not speak her language and the food was always the same so we flapped our arms to let her know to go get some chicken and gave her some money.
Coming home from work we heard a lot of noise from the basement and discovered it was full of live chickens

Tornado Watches, Tornado Warnings, Dangerous Thunderstorm Alerts, Destructive Hail Alerts ... we've had it all this afternoon ... including another 1.72" of rain ...

Ground seems to be sucking it up ... but we're due for a break.

Currently 70F with clearing skies to the north @ 19:30. Heading down to 62F for the low overnight. Should be just perfect for the Persied Meteor Showers tonight.

Got a few peppers picked, 2 medium hot block, 2 Hungarian Wax:

Chopped those up + an onion and 2 of the squash:

Cooked the onions and peppers in some bacon grease and a bit of olive oil.

Woman added some minced garlic and fresh tyme + Mrs Dash. Also some tomato ... which I would not have done ... nonetheless it turned out very good. Woman even commented on it ... which is saying something as She's not a big fan of summer squash.

Was surprised at how much the peppers spiced it up. I had checked both types by chewing on a piece of each before cooking and really didn't feel any heat. The finished product definitely had some zip however.

Got the coals ready about the time the Dangerous Thunderstorm Alert arrived, fortunately had moved the grill under the overhang in front of the garage. Wasn't quite able to get my timing right so it was between the storms.

The Hungarian sausage was fantastic !

Complete deluge while they were cooking though (Where there's a grill, there's a way ... ;))

They were not hot but were very tasty ... having been smoked/cooked over indirect heat with those shagbark hickory chips rather than directly over the coals.

There were 4 sausages and I think we ate 1 1/2 ... so will have enough for another meal again tomorrow.

Woman is over looking in neighbor's son while neighbor is out for dinner.

See if I can find something on the tube until She gets back. May check and see if that last piece of sheet cake might have my name on it ... ;)

Hope everyone had a decent Saturday ... (y)

This week we see Springsteen, hope he doesn't gab too much.
I would hope too.

Taking it easy today. Staying out of the heat. Driving home at 5-6pm the last 2 days, my car's accurate temp gage was showing 108F. Might be the highest since I saw 107 last year. No rain in months.

Now we are in stage 5 drought restrictions with our water. Using more than the working wells can supply. My grass is dead, but I believe the Bermuda will come back when we get rains.

Watched Motocross from New Berlin Unadilla track earlier. Now watching Flat Track from Castle Rock TT in WA state.

Hiring 2 new student workers for helpers. The adventure begins. One is a true Freshman, the other starting his sophomore year.

Networking with a friend to see if his company might hire my student worker that finished his last day yesterday. Graduated today. Sad to seem him go, but happy for him.
