but admit there's room for both dippers and drowners
it's all good
I am that other guy who, when finished, downs the lobster juice/butter cocktail shot to cap it off 😁

I’ve only ever had one property line dispute with a neighbor. When I called the surveyor that did my survey to ask what would it cost to put in monuments, he asked why I wanted them. When I told him it was to clarify the boundary for my neighbor, he told me to just get some oak stakes and flagging tape, and put them at least 100 feet onto the neighbors property.
He said that should get them “to get their own damn survey”.
Excellent advice.

got my hairs cut and now home to play with the drone.
My gay hairdresser thought my argan oil shampoo was doing a good job.
He has "big hair", most women would die for it...

Scott, glad your property is well marked for everyone's sake

Morning all, 68 going up to 84 and partly cloudy
Town was crazy last night while getting son from work as they had one of the Friday night fireworks displays. Sons boss let the kids out to look, good view for them as place has view of the river.

Work took the whole day and we went out for drinks after dropping son off for work.
Today will work on finishing wiring for heat pump and need to figure out order to get that wall measured out and sheetrock up.

Picked up sticks yesterday, lots of small ones, dog wanted to chew on each one as I picked them up, slows me down a lot

Can hear the bikes (dozens at a time) and cars headed towards the car show. We will be avoiding that direction today.

This week we see Springsteen, hope he doesn't gab too much.

Looking forward to the Grange fair next weekend, lots of tractors and stuff.

lazy morning after hectic, stressful week. Time to do some useful work with wires and pool cleaning and maybe move some mulch (seat time) , stuff that keeps me sane.

Be well,

Grange Fair next weekend?
good reminder Ken
I think if they are open Friday I'll go then.
Sometimes the John Deere B my family used to own is brought there to show.
It never got out of the area, as many tractors do.

I think there will be more vendors this year. No or minimal covid concerns.
farm animals are not my thing, so I prefer the mechanical part of the show.

I told a story here many years back about once almost, and I mean almost, owning a local John Deere
mower and compact tractor dealership here in New Hope. When I did not get the franchise, I bought the Radio Shack instead
and that was that. I even had the outdoor sign designed, green 4 series garden tractor on a tan sign. Today it would be a zero turn...
So I took my second strongest interest, a lifelong interest in hifi stereo equipment, and figured a Radio Shack would be fun.
I sold that place a year before Circuit City came to town. And then Amazon. I was in the right place at the right time.

for me, going to a fair with farm and mowing equipment there just pushes all my right buttons.

car traffic starting to pick up, headed outside with my drone to see if I can take pics.
And I tip my hat to Toppop's memory, he would have loved a big car show, very talented car guy.

Good morning! Low of 61°, only heading towards 83° for the high. Humidity level now at 44% --- WooHoo! A little closer to getting some rain! The guessers have 50% chance today and tonight. Increases to 60% tomorrow and Monday......

I am envious of all the pics of greenery and lawns..... we have turned all brown as far as the grasses, at least the trees / bushes are green.
Don't think that the grasses will have a chance to really green back up, even if we do get rain. Ranches have had a really hard time, having to provide feed all summer.

Today's the last day of the MIL's visit. Went by fast. Only a few little 'discussions', nothing of any consequence. It will be nice to get back into our mundane routine.....

Today's agenda: ??? I'm sure I will find something.....

But, first, sit on the porch with my coffee and watch the birds squabble at the feeders.

Everyone have a great day!

So I went out to fire up the log splitter for the first time since last year, and it started on the second pull! YAY!!!

and then, after about two minutes, it sputtered Coughed sputterEd, stumbled, sputtered then died.

pulled it again, started right up, then repeat.

gas was fresh, used two days ago in pressure washer with no issues.

pulled carb, looked clean, sprayed it all out with CC, reassembled.

Started, smoothed out, then sputtered stumbled etc.

any suggestions?

purchased in 2014, warranted for new engine in 2015 (factory forgot to install wrist pin retaining clip, wrist pin walked out while running… not my fault.)

never had an issue with it before.

THANKS!!!!

Often, actually I'll say that most farm shows will have more and more varied equipment on display. And with no carnival around a lot less kids and annoyances. This last Empire farm days that I went to had several lawn equipment displays and models.
It was several acres of equipment and accessories, from tire patching to Big M mowers and 1000+HP choppers.
The winter ones are held indoors and easily accessible. You have some good ones down in PA..

Finished up opening up around one of our blinds. Not the greatest but it's a start. Eventually I want to make this area a food plot, extend our current plot.

Went in the blind and a wasps nailed me. Stung a couple times between the shoulder blades. Man, that's annoying.

best laid plans got waylaid.

went out, next door neighbor mowing his overgrown lawn, and mine was getting long after four days with all that rain.
So to get some exercise, I pushed the trimming mower all over the place, never did run the battery out. Letting it cool off before I charge it again.
Then i mowed the whole place interrupted by landscaper showing up to give me a price on remulching all my gardens with a light coat. Folks who did it in the Spring
did not put it on thick enough, and after a few heavy rains, it's like gravel, where did it go?
425 to do whole place including mulch. I told him 500. He smiled.

sitting down in front of fan cooling off, shirt went off with a splat.
then time for lunch and some drone work.

friend who trains crew on B52s in Louisiana sent me this pick
Super Corsair
now that is an engine
Wasp Major. 4360 cubic inches, 3000 horsepower.
not going to go to Jiffy Lube with that one
for you plane guys

Is it the crab and lobster or the drawn butter that is so good?
Or the combination!

Truth be told I rarely have the butter, just love the meat. Now Sophie, the more butter the better. If at a restaurant she always gets mine too.
