66 outside this AM, heading to mid 90's. Enjoying first cup of coffee on Front Porch.

Need to climb up on ladder today and see the state of the Milk House chimney bricks. Will see how difficult it will be to take down. And, will move some material to the brush pile that has started up again. That is all.

Dr. visit went well, got a tetanus shot. Waiting on lab results. Weight is a concern of mine, losing it...slowly...slowly...
I feel I am under where I should be, Dr. thinks too much stress and too much activity.

Hope all have a great day. Be safe. Prayers for all. Those ailing....get better...sooner.

good Saturday morning all
somewhat late start, up for several hours last night, read my book, finally fell back to sleep.
woke up with headache and neck ache, nothing unusual for me, and I think the headache went away with first cup of coffee.
which tells me I'm drinking too much coffee...................

haircut this morning, was thinking I might go to New Hope Auto Show today, but foot not happy with plantar fasciitis coming back.
instead I'll fool around outside my home and watch the constant parade of neat cars go buy.
On auto show day, all the locals who aren't exhibiting usually drive their "cool car" to the show.
I get a fair amount of traffic by my house, one of the main roads locally, but at least today and tomorrow all that noise will
be interesting to watch.

Rip, careful on that ladder.
RS, that's a lot of rain, your veggies are going to be super happy

David, no replies to emails, missed her son at office in Atlanta. They said he was out of town; I'm sure flying to Hawaii to help his sister and mother.
It's hard to imagine losing everything you own. Makes RNG's efforts at home protection seriously smart, although I hope less fire risk where he is now.

Don’t want to make a big deal out of a few feet !
What's the value of your land?
On 1 of my parcels in Alexandria, Va the county did road rehab and poured the driveway apron wrong, about 2 foot into my property line, I was out of town for a month. Lot is ~1/2 acre valued on tax roles about $250K.
The next door neighbor was a kindly old gent and my wife (also my attorney) felt sorry for him.
Caused complications when I had an addition put on, the County was not going to let me do it because it was too close to what the inspector perceived was the boundary line. Showed them it was the counties fault. Later a new buyer wanted to lay a concrete driveway right up to what he thought was the line.
Stopped him. The 2 feet made for no driveway for him.
Get it documented that the fence is wrong.

Good Morning
It’s 61 with a high in the low 80’s under partly cloudy skies today. Some chance of rain this afternoon.

Yesterday’s trip to the Vineyard was not bad. Commuted to the airport with the little plane, 7 minute flight from Doylestown to Philly sure beats the hour drive. Interesting to see the wind farm construction in the ocean, there is a good number of piers sticking up out of the water now. There was a C17 at the vineyard bringing “stuff” to prepare for a VIP visit over the weekend. My guess is VP Harris. It was too big to park any where, so the unloaded on a taxiway, making airport operations interesting.

Got home in plenty of time to get to the show last night. We are lucky to have such a great venue so close. It’s a small 400 seat theater, but a lot of great shows are there. As a member of the theater, you get access to tickets before the general public, so i always get great seats. Here was my view of Ray Benson last night.

The sound is excellent as well.

Apparently I have a growing list of chores for today, probably starting with moving hay into the barn. Not positive what’s next, I’m just following instructions, but she has enough to keep me occupied for a while.

Scott, not to pile on.......
if he knows you know and you don't do anything about it, I'd be wary of some adverse possession issues in the future.

the best money I ever spent on my farm in NC was on a full land survey. Showed me that a bridge over a small ditch I thought I owned
was not even on my property. I almost spent a lot of money rebuilding that bridge, and it wasn't on my land.

If you already have line markers somewhere nearby, would not take much to put down very visible extra colored stakes in the area in question.

I had to do that on another side of my NC farm, found out three neighbors were all using my woods for storage and the inevitable brush crap you
throw into the woods. Good habitat and all that stuff. Well, not to the owner.
One guy had lumber, piles of bricks, tons of stuff on my land. Took him a while to move it and I gave him time.
Another guy had a dead ancient fiberglass boat. That got towed out.

so my experience is that land boundaries are super important.
A good example of something that needs to be "nipped in the bud".
having a professional surveyor come in and put down stakes, well that's a way of not getting into an argument
with your neighbor. He can't be foolish enough to cross the line then.

In farm country, always have to leave enough "headland" to turn tractors around at end of rows.
So if you lived next to a farmer, he was supposed to not plant up to the very edge.
Guy next to me tried to do that with my land and drove over part of my garden.
I then put up a dozen tall steel stakes and pounded them into the ground.
no problem thereafter...
stay on your own land friend

great pic Popgadget. That must be a lot of fun. (y):)

Is it the crab and lobster or the drawn butter that is so good?
Or the combination!
both
little salt and pepper
small dunk in the butter
not submerged and dripping
but admit there's room for both dippers and drowners
it's all good

just please keep the Old Bay away. Or put only a tiny bit in.
otherwise I can't taste anything else

fresh lobster is so sweet, with a little butter, it's fish candy a la mode.

Pop, I'd love to go see Asleep at the Wheel...was just watching a you-tube of them with the Quebe Sisters this week.

m70, glad your wife is doing better.

Kil, Happy 39th Birthday to your wife. ;)

Don, those deaths by septic tank are so sad. My oldest son fell into an abandoned water well that was 35 feet deep, and fortunately dry. He was helping an old farmer clear out some junk, and it was covered by only rotten plywood. The rescue quad had to free him.

Scotty, nice pic of the mountains. I was hiking in some yesterday...great hiking weather in the low 60s and windy.

Good morning, 68 going to 91 today no rain

Was up early getting coffee and walking Cody

News out of Hawaii are devastating. Drew hope you connect with her soon

Areas with long periods without rain are at risk for fires. Weather patterns are changing

Might do some mowing today. Perhaps mount the brackets for the trimmer. David the straps you linked look good. I am hanging the trimmer on the rear window screen and not sure they would work in that location

I had a new neighbor a couple of years ago move in from the city. City folks moving into 5 acres in the country thinks they own a lot more than that for some reason and he started to increase his lawn beyond the property line. I put up tee posts and strung a wire. He started to go around with his mower still. Had to block that. Then he started to spray to kill the grass. Reported it to the state as violation. Called him after that and he apologized and said it would never happen again
