Good morning!!!!

Morning all, 68 going up to 85 and sunny.
Chimney people showed up on time and finished early afternoon.
Rain at end of week, so we will see how the fix works. Looks good from here.

I had my grandfathers hand auger back at my dad's house, when he moved it disappeared.
I used it with long bits to drill through walls, could keep the sheetrock from tearing going nice and slow. Wish I still had it, so many things went missing when my dad moved, including all our childhood photos, which supposedly when to my Brother and SIL, but we never found then at his house when we looked before he moved last year.

Be well,

Before with dozens of cracks and "fixes"

After with new crown , pointed and resealed.
It's 14' long and about 3' wide. 3 fireplaces and the burner

Good Morning!!!! 67F @ 4:30AM. Sunny to partly cloudy. High 92F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph.

Never heard of such a thing as a floor auger, KJC, but I can see how they would be useful. And so would an electric version.

Got a couple coats of wax on the back and driver's side of the van before it got too hot yesterday, so all that's left is the front. Not gonna use the foam cannon on it, as foam goes everywhere. Also got the welds I made on the motorcycle ramp painted, so that job's done.

Only headed into the low 90s today, so might get some tinkering done on a motorcycle, but might just siesta in the afternoon again. I can see that becoming a habit.

Hump Day already?!?
The electric version is the Right Angle Milwaukee Plumbers Drill. It also fits in between studs with a short bit.

I took a break from working on the shop yesterday. Spent 4 hours with the log splitter. Ariens 22 ton, which they stopped making for some reason. It's a beast! Gotta get back out there, since I'm only half done. Going up to 81 today, hotter later in the week. I feel bad, normally the racks are stacked fully by Memorial Day. I've been "distracted"...

Went with wife to local walking trail along the creek, did 2 miles. Just over a mile for 1 loop. It goes as far as the RR bridge.

PT done, school board coffee meeting done, now back home on a nice day, high 80's.
landscapers showed up yesterday, did extra nice job trimming everything, place looks nice.

I need to replace my picnic table outdoors. Top is rotting and I've already replaced the seat boards.
I think time for something that will not rot.
not sure I want to spend the money on teak, though I love the wood

There are some serious fires in Hawaii on Maui and big island. As far I can tell it is isolated to the north side of the big island but on Maui it is very bad with people jumping in the ocean. Hope that David is safe

Good morning! Low of 59°, heading to 87°. This weeks temps aren't to bad. Wish we can get some precip.....

Yesterday's storms were a bust. Lots of noise, very little moisture. Nothing more than a few sprinkles. Today is supposed to be sunny, no chances at all for a storm.

Took the time and finished making the drip fittings after the last delivery of supplies. Now just have to install 160 of the buggers every 8".....

That's gonna be about all for today's agenda. Oh, and to start the drip irrigation rotation.

Hope everyone has a great day!

....

Making some brackets for the RTV to be able to carry the Makita trimmer without laying across the load bed. Painted them yesterday and looking to cover them with something to not scratch up the trimmer. Perhaps rubber strips from tractor inner tube
....

Swimming pool noodles make for great covers on stuff that you don't want to scratch up. You can also cut the foam to hold things in place a little better, And they come in a variety of awesome well seen colors. LOL. I had some on my RTV in case I got it lost in the woods. LOL.

84F and sunny @ 14:15, calling for a high of 82F today so we've easily beaten that. HI 85F, DP 59F, HU 48%, AQI 61.

More rain due in tonight into tomorrow ... just as the standing water/puddles out back have disappeared ...

Was a very good day here yesterday.

Ran down to the hardware store yesterday before The Woman left for Cleveland Hopkins yesterday and picked up a new tail piece of the sink. PVC this time, hopefully won't rot out. Got it trimmed to length and assembled but still need to tighten it up and eliminate any leaks.

Got the 4 Kentucky Field Pumpkins stuck in the ground.

Got another half dozen runners pinned down in pots.

Fired up the weed burner torch and made more holes for additional strawberry plants.

Harvested around a half dozen tomatoes that were ripe.

Have some Hungarian Wax Peppers which were almost ripe, probably should pick those today:

And plenty more on the way:

And Medium Hots:

Rest of garden seems to be coming along fairly well:

There will be no shortage of rhubarb, even new plants seem to be doing very well ... ;)

Made myself a couple of BLT's for dinner as The Woman wasn't back yet. Delicious.

Need to get back on mowing today, back and west side of house. Front probably ready as well.

Will be moving into doing further landscaping and transplanting in the coming days ... now that garden planting is all done.

Hope everyone is having a good Wednesday ... (y)

I haven't been doing much of anything outside for the past month. It's hard to muster any motivation when it 80 at 6am. Broke another all-time high for yesterday. It hit 106 in the shade and was still 100 at 10pm when I went to bed.
