Good morning!!!!

Good afternoon! 92˚F, maybe a quick thunderstorm later.

Yesterday did not go as planed. Mom's nurse called, problems, and sent her to hospital. Good news though, only dehydrated and we took her home in the evening after a fill-up via IV.

There was a sunflower growing in the potatoes and I left it. It is now 8' tall and starting to bud. Weeded the garden and the newly planted watermelons are getting their second set of leaves, still hoping for a late August melon.

Wife is repainting the baseboards and some of the Frog tape took off the wall paint. The touchup can of wall paint I had was too light so I went to Sherwin Williams and they darkened it a shade. still waiting for the sample to dry to see if the touchup will be invisible.

My right Costco Hearing Aid stopped working so got an apt. for tomorrow. I couldn't hear very well at the hospital yesterday and the start-up tones are not chiming.

Making some whole wheat buns with a new recipe that uses dates instead of sugar and prunes instead of oil. Never have used prunes instead of oil, usually just don't use oil.

Wife's owners manual: now that would be an interesting read.

Hazy again today. And surprisingly, for about 5 minutes, could barely smell smoke.

Trapped another raccoon last night. That is 5 in the past week. Have 1 doing some damage every night….hope to get it soon.

Everyone stay safe out there

Kilroy- I almost lost bladder control. I worked a decade (direct care/clinical) in a secure female psych admission unit and have lived with my female bio-unit for +45 and I still don't have a clue; but I do know this...................

Rich- I am not unhappy that rabies, mange, and distemper have decimated the raccoon population around here. Cute they are not.....

I have the wifey's manual on a thumb drive..... but, I lost it +39 years ago.....somewhere on the honeymoon. Been trying to remember some of the critical info ever since....

Well, I am a lot lighter since this morning.....
Over $500 at Costco. It's the highest total yet.... and I didn't even get any cool.....well, did splurge and got a box of IC cones.

By the time we got everything put away, boxes broken down, and a cold drink, didn't do anything in the shop. Watered the plants in the greenhouse and the potted stuff outside.

Watching a special 30yr anniversary of "Great rail adventures" on PBS. Showcases some old iron and neat "tourist" rail journeys.

Everyone have a great evening!

Good (Friday) morning. The overnight Low was 8C and it's presently 13C, clear with some wind. There was 7.7mm in the gauge this 0900 and 13mm yesterday.

I highly recommend to all that if you need to transfer data from an 'old' mobile phone to a 'new' one that you engage a professional to do it! Mind you, if something will go wrong (attempting to 'do it yourself') it will happen to me.

When I last posted on Wednesday, I was on my way into town for mail & groceries... the short story is that my debit/credit card was declined whilst checking-out at the grocery store. They stored my purchases until I could sort it out = home and my on-line banking showed that my accounts were intact. A call to my bank revealed that my 'card' had been cancelled due to a malicious credit card 'purchase' (whilst attempting to transfer phone data myself between old/new mobile phone). The malicious charge was subsequently cancelled.

The bank would immediately issue a new card and they electronically issued that card to my mobile phone banking 'app' so that I could use it from my phone's 'wallet'. Great o_O, what's a mobile phone wallet and how do I use it???

Sorted... but, geees, I HATE being dragged (kicking & screaming) into the 21st Century! And I did, then, go back into town to collect & pay (credit) for my groceries.

The trip to Launceston went well (1000). I first stopped at a branch of my bank to get A$100 cash to see me through until the new card arrives, then it was over to the tech-dudes to have the data transfer done. Once that was done, we made sure that the new phone was set-up properly for my use (I could 'drive' the device), my ring-tone (theme to 'The Naked Gun') worked and that the electronic credit card was in, and working, in the new 'wallet'. Whew.

Home by 1800. A 'couple' of glasses a Pinot Noir and a good night's sleep.

That's about it, take care all.

Got washer and dryer delivered, long drive today. Ran out of heavy smoke the further down I81 we went. Didn’t notice it at our lot.
Some good pics on the camera

Talked with neighbor lady and got more good info on the neighborhood. Really nice lady. She rents her place, but her brother owns the house next door. Found out fiber optic is being installed.

nice dinner out with friends, packed five people in here for awhile, glad they have all gone home and peace and quiet returns.
except it didn't....loud stereo nearby, kids yelling, more loud stereo, 10pm comes and goes, loud stereo thumping away. 10:20pm loud stereo stops. How nice.

good bit of rain today, was needed, had to bring awning almost all the way in, then when rain stopped later I slowly retracted it as a ton of water came splashing down. Last time it did that got me good, right on the head, like a big bucket of water. This time I stepped inside the rv and shut the door almost all the way. Good thing, just before the end, big wave of water came down. Usually a good idea on awnings to keep one end slightly lower than the other, minimizes this pooling.

I wonder if there are 55 and over rv places
regardless I intend to sleep well.
