Good morning!!!!

Good morning! Low of 45°, heading to 78°, pure sun....
Should be a broken record for the next week or so. The forecasters are already predicting an extended dry spell for the next couple of weeks.

Glad I got the drip all hooked up......

Spent the 'down time' yesterday to consolidate my materials list and get a total cost estimate. I was anticipating a 'no way' from the wifey, due to the cost.....nope! Her next words were: "can you fit it all in one trip on the trailer?"
----- Now just waiting for the discount certificate from HD to come in the mail.....

This next project is to finish the fence at the front entrance to the property. The fencing has dramatically improved the effects of the wind, breaking the direct "hit" of the wind. Big difference in the amount of blowing dirt too!

Drew, really looks like a nice campground. Enjoy the good times with friends.

David , great to hear Sophie's eyes are doing good. I appreciate the sprayer review.... my suspicions are now confirmed ---- it will be easier to roller our house and cut in manually. Thanks.

Ken, sorry you're in the doghouse again..... Hope everything works out quickly.....

Fritz, that is a well deserved right to be proud of our children. You can always brag here! She is a special person for sure!

RS, that's a lot of compost! I can see that the plants love it!

PJ, beautiful lily pic. They are neat flowers, texture wise.... almost feel like plastic....

The GI issues slowly passed yesterday by last evening. I think I know what caused it.... The evening before, I ate a bunch of toffee coated cashews. Probably too many....
I am happy it's over with.....

Today's agenda is to make the Costco run that didn't happen yesterday. Not sure what I'll get into later...

Everyone have a great day!

61F and mostly cloudy @ 10:30, headed up to around 72 for the day's high supposedly. Low this morning was 47.8F ...

Was 69F in the house when I got up so I turned on the heat ...

Slight chance (15%) of a rain shower tomorrow, but much better chances Sun/Mon/Tue when it goes up to over 50%. We could sure use it.

No leftover coffee this morning so I made a fresh pot.

Fed upstairs cats while waiting for water to come to a boil. Downstairs cat now complaining loudly that she would like a little attention too.

Only a dribble of Half and Half left in the container now, so will need to make a trip out for the next cup.

Got one load of wash put in last night before I hit the rack, will try and get another done today.

Still trying to locate the new padded shoulder strap/sling that I bought for the Stihl FS 66. Can't imagine where that got off to ... was hanging on the tool rack in the garage.

Plan for today is to get tiller put on the Kubota and get garden tilled.

There is a good-sized maple with two trunks I'd like to take down ... to allow the south end of the garden to get sunlight a little earlier in the day.

One of the two trunks is such that felling it should be no problem, while the other one is somewhat questionable ... it's shape and lean could cause it to fall back towards the large oak with two trunks. That might not be a bad thing, as the oak has a number of dead branches on it that are potential widow makers. Knocking those down would be good.

In any event, I'll need to move the two cattle panels which I dumped at the base of the maple before doing any chain saw work.

More pumpkin and squash seeds have sprouted and popped up. Will probably need to water pots today as I didn't yesterday.

Hope everyone has a good Thursday ... (y)

I see a battle with a couple of birds is in my future....
The breeding pair of sparrows are trying to rebuild the nest on the porch. It is now 3 times that I have removed the nest materials....
Stubborn birds....
I may have to tack up some netting.....

Drew- Have a great trip, I enjoy both reading about and seeing your pictures of your adventure. Please keep us informed and amused.

David- I am happy to read that Sophie's eyes continue to improve.

Fritz- You, your Wife, and hopefully all your children are proud of your Daughter's achievements.

Ted- I am happy to read that you are feeling better. Good luck with the birds.

I really appreciate all the pictures especially the sun and moon captures through this horrible, but beautiful smoke plume. I have had 3 cameras set up to take pictures of the sun and moon for the past few days and T-Storms and rain "showers", more like drizzle events, and clouds have been the predominant weather features. I can not "buy" a picture at this point, but today is another day with clouds and sprinkles in the air. I would hate to do a check on the pH of this "rain."

OMG- I missed a day checking in here and another day of poor air quality. I am seriously considering gettin a rescue inhaler, what a freakin' waste of $ for something I will use once or twice before the expiration date, and trust me on this, inhalers are next to worthless after the expiration date has passed.

It was a great day for the dog yesterday at the new Vets' office. He was better behaved than some of the other dogs in the reception area. Due to our seating he met everyone and every dog coming in the front door. At #132's he outweighed all the other dogs in the office combined weights by #100's. Our new Vet really is a specialist in Shepherds. She was very happy with her new patient, and suggested that he lose a couple of #'s to reduce the wear and tear on joints, etc. The DNA analysis was spot on.

Mr. Bear spent an hour here this morning taking down the mixed seed bird feeder and feating on its contents and the broadcast seed that I had spread earlier.

I did an early morning shopping run for supplies and I really do not know what I'll be doing this afternoon.

I hope that everyone has a great or at least manageable day today.

65°F and 0 rain

Change of plan after consult with Boss lady. Originally was moving scaffold to back of house and continue painting wood structure and trim. Instead will leave scaffold out front and edge the walls, windows and doors with the wall color. I will be able to roll bulk of flat from the ground but at later time rather than same day.

H&F later this afternoon, we host. Spaghetti with a shrimp and scallop tomato sauce.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Morning 48 going up to 77 and still hazy.
Spent some time fixing kids bike shifter, needs replacing but I got it working for now, just worn out. Had to wear a mask the smoke is so thick.

Been a rough week, another co-worked died, he had a bad heart attack last year and it seems never fully recovered.
An old high school buddy died from ALS, had been keeping in touch with him, hard to see him wasting away.

Now to lighten up a bit, and of course wife is angry at me again.

Ken- I am sorry to read about the loss of your 2 friends. I can definitely relate as to marital bliss. I agree with David, but any Husband has who has seen this manual lived long enough to reveal its contents. 😱
