RS, LS, PopaG, thanks for the info again on the table saws. I am looking for a upgraded homeowner special. Don't need it to do anything but rip window and door trims. And it has got to move about as there is always something going on somewhere other than the house.
FWIW: I bought this one last year for trim work.. Works and moves around great.

I thought Massey, Kioti and TYM owned this part of the market but I guess someone thinks there's room for another brand.
I sure would not depend upon my local TSC to know much; remember my story about walking into one and asking for
three point hitch parts and the guy there asked what was a three point hitch?...

Now that supply is improving for other companies, think this might be a tough sell for an unknown brand.
Bad Boy is now offering small tractors, too. For how long? I wouldn't consider either one, without "support".

....

am I now officially a geezer?

hmmm, better look that up, see who it offends.... ;)
nope, I'm ok
What age is a geezer?
a geezer, an old geezer (UK): a guy, a man, a dude; an old man, an elderly fellow. noun. The slang term geezer is used in the US exclusively to describe an old person. In British English, it is a slang term used to describe a man of any age.

So....one truly is only as old as one feels.
The seven stages of man comes to mind. On a tractor site no less...

All the world’s a stage,
And all the men and women merely players,
They have their exits and entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages. At first the infant,
Mewling and puking in the nurse’s arms.
Then, the whining schoolboy with his satchel
And shining morning face, creeping like snail
Unwillingly to school. And then the lover,
Sighing like furnace, with a woeful ballad
Made to his mistress’ eyebrow. Then a soldier,
Full of strange oaths, and bearded like the pard,
Jealous in honour, sudden, and quick in quarrel,
Seeking the bubble reputation
Even in the cannon’s mouth. And then the justice
In fair round belly, with good capon lin’d,
With eyes severe, and beard of formal cut,
Full of wise saws, and modern instances,
And so he plays his part. The sixth age shifts
Into the lean and slipper’d pantaloon,
With spectacles on nose, and pouch on side,
His youthful hose well sav’d, a world too wide,
For his shrunk shank, and his big manly voice,
Turning again towards childish treble, pipes
And whistles in his sound. Last scene of all,
That ends this strange eventful history,
Is second childishness and mere oblivion,
Sans teeth, sans eyes, sans taste, sans everything.

Don nice weather. So the kids find the eggs then feed them to bunny to get candy?
It would be hilarious if the candy came out the other end, and the kids would probably like it better. They would have fun making the bunny poop candy. I don't know if there is a concept to understand here, maybe it will be apparent when the bunny machine is complete. First Hunt is the 25th so maybe I can post a pic and understand the concept by then. This is the same guy that made the GIGA beer keg/trailer (40 spigots with an iPad on each spigot) that caught fire and never was utilized last year.

Good morning! 47˚F heading to the mid 60s, partly cloudy.

Good morning, 34 going to 39 today colder for sure today but no snow thankfully.

Going to infusion clinic today for wife for monthly injection

Shoulder feels better this morning after injection yesterday.
Being an Octogenarian doctor did not recommend any surgical solutions

Ordered the thermostat for the mini split for delivery tomorrow

Daughter was harassed and followed last night walking the dog. She is buying pepper spray now.

8º this morning, going up to 38º. Supposed to be near 50º next two days.
Got the first wall stud section up yesterday. Not too heavy, to lift up alone. 10 foot wall. The rest should be easier, after getting a plan set up. First time using an air framing nailer. Too cold out there this morning (no heat out there now), so I'll wait a bit before getting out there today. I'm in no real hurry. Yet. I have to move my 8' step ladder over there, too. The 6 footer is a bit sketchy, when I need to be on the top wrung.

Good Morning.
Cold and windy out there this morning. Snowing large flakes that disappear on contact with the warmer ground or objects.

Yesterday started with finishing up a speaker and getting it ready to ship. Then off to Costco for some speed shopping. Drew will be disappointed to know that they have been out of diet Snapple the last 3 times I’ve been there. (He knows where the diet peach tea is kept here). But got everything else on the list. Productive class with Zoe last night, it’s good practice to make her focus when surrounded by distractions.

Today I’m in the shop ordering supplies and building speakers, I think I have enough of a waiting list to keep me busy for as long as the supply chain holds out.

33 and snowing like crazy! First round of cleanup has only gotten me stuck twice!
Way to heavy to push or shovel. Glad I have the blower!! Looks like over a foot already and not expected to stop till tomorrow. Trees down and power out all over the place. We are good still.
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!

Door building day now that my wood is painted. 1st 1 or 2 may take a bit longer as I figure out the how having never built these before. 5 2x4s,1 4x8 sheet of Plywood, 50-60 screws. Might have it down by time I do #6.
Results should be pic worthy.

Prayers for all

25F and cloudy @ 16:30.

Got some heavy, intense lake effect snow last night, came in a bit west of where it typically does.

Fortunately did not last all that long. Did get enough to put several inches down on the ground so we've got another Winter Wonderland today ... at least for the moment. Will be gone in a day or two.

Diesel brought into garage and put into torpedo heater yesterday.

Got two buckets of whole corn put out for the deer and two suet feeders refilled, also refilled the two tube feeders.

Got the shave but not the haircut ... :(

Finished off chicken wings that Woman didn't eat for dinner, also four pieces of pizza, two for dinner and two for my bedtime snack. Woman made brownies, so had some of those as well.

Got the 4 x 4's cut down to four pieces for the posts for the woodworking workbench. Have been cutting everything slightly long so I can trim them to length without resting them on anything besides the chop saw itself to ensure they are square.

Dust collection works well ... when used.

Note to self: Turn on dust collection system before making cuts with the chop saw.

Did not get down to the basement to search for another 2 x4 (Woman had gone to bed)

Got all the radii on the cut pieces sanded and cleaned up.

Got the table on the radial arm saw mostly cleaned up.

Started another box for longer wood scraps.

Some more gluing done on several pieces, including this one that I missed the split on before I cut it:

IMG_2306 copy.jpg

Should be dry by now so I can clean it up this evening.

Also got back into sanding the fence for the router table:

IMG_2307 copy.jpg

Hopefully get that finished up tonight.

Order placed with Amazon for dowels, edge banding, chip brushes, and 4' t-track with miter bar for the router table.

Also managed to order threaded inserts for the bolts for the casters on the workbench and router table that I initially forgot to order ... 🤬

All should be in tomorrow.

Gave Woman a hand with her wall washing and cleaning activities as well.

Hope everyone is having a good Tuesday ... (y)

The ground hog lies a lot literally and figuratively

The wind is howling here
An interesting study would be the Groundhog vs the meteorologists . . .

According to the national temperature almanac, the groundhog has only been correct 39% of the time! Luckily, we have meteorologists who are much more accurate than that! Last year, Punxutawney Phil did not see his shadow, predicting an early spring.

2 1/2 hours and 1 door later. Actually that one needs more work. The corners need some reinforcement. I did put together a jig so subsequent builds should be a bit faster.

Do need to make a trip to HD today for more screws etc. as a result will be treating my dear sweet wife to a nice dinner out. Hence, I may or may not get a 2 door to this stage.

Updated Good Morning:

Remembered to take a device when we went up to the woodlot for dog walking

I got some photos of my lower arm modifications from a couple weeks back for your critiques (Planck iron pipe nipples as spacers on the Case Eagle arm shafts to keep the Fergie-style arms outboard for triangulation/stability):

I am sure there is some sorta superior solution, but this was under $10 and about 20 minutes. And now I just need to go and try it out one of these days real soon.

Finally, here are the “new” chainsaws, pictured with my former “PROPERTY OF UHAUL” saw next to a Jen-U-Wine Homelite saw case:

The one with the Oregon r is the best-running of the three, the one with the shorter bar needs the fuel line to the carb replaced (it is cracked), and the two-tone is a parts saw. All three for a C-Note.

Movie Trivia:

The saw used by the character Leatherface in Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a Homelite SuperXL12.

Maybe I missed it? The part where they give the accuracy percentage of the meteorologists? “Much more” is not a quantifiable comparator…
