Good (Monday [+ Superb Owl]) morning. Overnight Low of 9C and it's presently 20.8C, fairly clear with a bit of a breeze. There was 2.1mm of rain in the gauge @ 0900.

I've already paid my ute rego for the year online and not much else on for the rest of the day until a Parish Council meeting late this arvo at 1630. I'm sure that there will be something that I can get up to as the day progresses.

ken, I did move it sslowlyy. Was going to attach it with screws, then changed my mind mainly because this location is temporary, used zip ties instead.

Got my two 1 gallon hydraulic oil containers refilled. Moved the SMV sign, topped off the tractor hydraulics and scraped the driveway again. The temperature was above freezing. Either Tuesday or Wednesday I will take care of everybody else and maybe do this place again. The more slush I scrape off in these warm temperatures, the easier walking will be when the temps dip down below freezing again.

Chapel to start day, made pancakes for breakfast, then putter for a while, Installed new hanger on bike, after trying to remove rusted screw with no success. Did have to shorten mounting screws, ans rear brake needs more truing, but bike almost ready for test ride. Watched second half of football game, glad KC won.

I will try to keep my excitement contained. . . But one of the more “uninspiring” events is being at work, processing someone’s tax documents, and seeing Federal Withholding Tax of $0.02 on savings account interest of $0.18, yet so many zeroes-to-the-right-of-the-decimal-point in our money gets tossed into multiple gravitic event horizons. . .

Coffee is done brewing. 22° with mostly clear skies this morning. Heading to 47° with sunny skies. Did some more trimming on pine trees. Cleaned up those branches and neighbors. Got some tractor seat time. It was a great afternoon for a walk with Sassy. She is getting good at staying close by me during walks.
Snow has melted enough from around house to look for where mice are getting inside. Have a good idea where it is.

popgadget, I ordered a can of the stuff you recommended, $53.oo including tax and freight from a company in Burlington, Ontario. There was only 4 places in Canada that carried it and Burlington was the closest.

I am not sure what I get up to today, but rest assured it wont be much.

God has given us another chance to get it right (or at least not screw up too badly).

25F, but should be a dry day. I will have to tuck the quad back into its tent a little better now that the “snow emergency” has expired. Leaving on the chains and plow should pretty much guarantee we don’t get snow here for the rest of the season

got about 80% of Uncle’s paperwork organized, need to make some calls for missing 1099’s and some other items, and still waiting on a couple to be issues sometime next week. I don’t think our medical reaches the write-off level (again), which I guess is a good thing. Solar will be the high write-off for this year.

getting ready to start the new schedule at work, so it was an early-to-bed last night.

starting off day with coffee and one of my homemade blueberry muffins. Yum
Gave the rest of muffins to inlaws last night at Super Bowl party. Stayed until half time and then was designated driver
to take 94 year old MIL back to nursing home. Lot of groans in this area from outcome of game, which I didn't see.

going to drive my tax paperwork to accountant this morning, get my car washed
going to be a nice day after .30 rain last night, high in upper 50's.
Might spend a little time cleaning leaves out of garden, just using the leaf blower. The entrance to my house seems to provide a corner
that leaves congregate in due to the wind.

Half way through February. Will we get snow here?

38 outside this Am, should touch 60 today. Needs to dry out and stay that way for a while. I know it will not.

More door, frame, framing and vinyl work today. More chasing down various requests from insurance companies, lawyers and contractors on order.
