I saw this shadow from my shop on the driveway, and thought it was interesting how the snow melted around the the dormer shadows.

I have mostly Snap On torque wrenches, and keep them calibrated.
I was in a HF and they had 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 drive torque wrenches all for $9.95 each. I bought 3 of each to give to people that wanted to borrow one.
They were all the click type, and shockingly they were all accurate when checked against the Snap On ones.
I used an 8pt socket to couple them together and they would click simultaneously when set to the same value.

Kyle, I got mine (TEKTON) from amazon, it is a 250' lb wrench. I wont be using it for a while.

I found my hydraulic leak and the tractor is going to the shop as early as tomorrow morning. The same guy I bought my Z-turn from. I am going to use him for all of my service needs for the old girl, even though he is a Massey dealer.

Good morning.
26 with a high in the middle 30’s today. Clear skies, but woke up to a white dusting.

Yesterday kept me occupied, took all the old Verizon equipment to UPS, officially putting that chapter behind me. Stopped at Staples and got some filing supplies, got all the instructions and manuals filed neatly with Ptouch labels on the folders.

Picked up my $27 Subsoiler, much better than I expected.

Hoist scale says it weighs its not a lightweight, but I knew that, I paid for it by the pound.

Changed out the last fast Ethernet switch for a gigabit one, I think that is the last piece of that puzzle as well.

Today I’m off to our daughter’s to install a Wi-Fi thermostat with a remote sensor to average between the two floors and install a garage door opener. Zoe is coming with me to help.
I bought a similar one with the pipe laying attachment on it. It is great when removing tree stumps. I dig around the stump breaking the roots which makes it easier to remove.
I have to put weights on it to make it sink in. A heavy one like that would be much better.

Good Morning!!!! 37F @ 6:00AM. Clouds and some sun this morning with more clouds for this afternoon. High 58F. Winds light and variable.

Pretty birds, Doug. Are they quiet at night? Saw a video just yesterday of a man stomping a bird cage flat while a Cockatiel screamed obscenities at him. It was in my Facebook feed somehow. Anyone's guess of how it got there.
The birds go to sleep early and make no noise during the night. They give a little squark when we walk out in the morning and the green one is already saying Hello.

I could say he won’t. But…
Years ago, when still single we lent him the money to buy a decent used car. Not an official loan per se, but monthly payments to us. About 6 months in he totaled car hitting a deer, hence the Honda Civic. Of course he had cancelled collision to save money. For next 21/2 years he made bank payments for the Civic he drove and parent payments for the totaled Accord. Yes, we returned that money as a wedding present later. The point was the responsibility, not the money.
Proof of insurance is a stipulation for this car and we will be on as titled lien holder. I kinda doubt he would be tempted again.
In most states, IDK about Hawaii, if the named insured lets coverage lapse the insurance company is required to notify the lien holder and the lien holder has 30 days additional coverage which allows them time to take out 'single interest' coverage if the named insured does not re-instate the primary coverage. The 'single interest' only covers the mortgagee's interest, ie up to the remaining balance of the note (but normally not more than the ACV), not the full ACV of the vehicle if the note is less.

This is not legal advice. Your state department of insurance and your agent and policy language can provide specific details. Hope everything works out well.

Are you using an ad blocker plugin with your web browser? I've had good luck with AdBlockPlus (free). No ads here on TBN, or FB, or anywhere.
Yes, I'm running AdBlock+ and it's up to date. What I received was a Facebook 'artical/advert' as opposed to a sidebar advert.

I simply found it curious that the FB advert showed up regarding a purchase that had no internet 'connection'. Yes, my friend sent the gift card as an email attachment but it was only for a A$ amount, not for a specific item.

Oh, and I decided to get the LEATHERMAN Wave due to the TBN thread/discussion on multitools (scaredy?) late last year... once again, TBN leads to my spending money on things I never knew that I needed. 😄

Good (Thursday) early arvo. The overnight Low was 11C and it's presently 21.4C with a steady wind from the SE. Mostly cloudy and there was 9.3mm in the gauge at 0900... mostly from an intense 'micro-burst' late yesterday arvo after I returned home from mail/groceries.

Because of that cold-front/rain I didn't get to collecting the branches along the driveway. There's no hurry as, being retired, things like this can wait.

Of course, I've just received notification from the PO that I've got a delivery to collect. :)

That's about it, take care all.

The 36 hours of frozen rain on landscape grasses make for a pretty pic. Whipper got her walk in this evening and is a happy dog. Whipper does not like walking on the frozen yard grass, it's like pointy ice cubes.
The streets here are clear except on bridges. The sidewalks only had ice under the trees. Everything will still be shut down tomorrow as the temps will not get above freezing till late morning. Mail was not delivered today. No problem with electric supply or gas in our neighborhood as the lines for both are underground. However in town trees are breaking under the weight of the ice on the limbs and there has been electrical outages for several hours in different areas throughout the day.

Successful day in the shop! The edge tamers all welded, smoothed, and painted. The knee is a pain... literally! Had to keep sitting down, it was arguing a lot. Tried sitting while grinding, but the little voice inside kept telling me it was a bad idea..... I took that advice. Don't need any more pain or injury.

Got a call this afternoon from the attorney this morning. She is turning the case over to another attorney. He called this afternoon and we had a discussion for about an hour. He seems to be a little more aggressive, which may be a good thing. He is sending paperwork tomorrow. I know what tomorrow's agenda will be....

Rotisserie chicken for dinner, fusilli macaroni smothered with olive oil, garlic and onion. Side of green beans with fried onion bits. I am now stuffed and need to beach myself!

Oh, I also have the Leatherman Wave, which is my favorite. In addition, one of the 'classic' ones and a 'mini'. The Wave is in the truck, the classic in the house, and the mini usually in my pocket (when remembered).

I Have a few no name "copy-cats" scattered around too.

I have a copy cat leather man somewhere, maybe in the truck. Never used it much, but then can’t use it if I don’t know where it is.
