Good morning all
22 going to 37 today and getting warmer as the week goes on

Picking up curbside groceries today. We are still being very careful about infection risks

Check hope that you recover quickly and the rest of the family is not infected

Amtrak round trip for 3000 dollars. Hard to believe. Trains are supposed to be cheaper than flying.
Have not taken a train ride in years except one in West Virginia to watch the eagles

A pleasant good morning to everyone,
Presently 28F under mostly clear skies, after a low of 24. Forecast for clearing skies and a high of 40 today.

Wife made it home safe and sound yesterday.

No idea what is on the plate for today, haven't been handed the 'honey do' list yet.

Boat is not an icebreaker, it is a 27' Ranger Tug with a 300hp Yamaha. Presently sitting safely up on the lift, above the ice, I expect it will be there until sometime in March. I will leave the Christmas lights that are on it there until New Years.

Be safe out there.

30 outside this AM. Heading to lower 40's.

Still see the ice skating rink in the front pasture, the winter sun ain't going to melt that any time soon.

Need to get some more fire wood gathered, all depends on SO though.

Not much sleep, interrupt every four hours for some pills. My sleeping habit have made me quite acclimated to these tasks though. Guess God had a plan.

Hope all have a great start to the last "work" week of the year.

Good riddance I say... LOL.

Good Morning!!!! 51F @ 4:15AM. Light rain and wind early...then remaining cloudy with showers in the afternoon. High 56F. SSE winds at 20 to 30 mph, decreasing to 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 80%. Winds could occasionally gust over 40 mph.
We're under a High Wind Warning. South winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 65 mph through 10AM.

Well, it finally happened. I heard a loud crash on the back porch, and looked through the sliding glass door in the master bedroom to see the 13'x 26' steel roof of the porch cover flapping up and down in the air. While I watched, one corner 4x6 post came off, letting the cover land on the bead blast cabinet and filter. The cover is no longer attached to the house, and is still flopping around. I just hope it doesn't go flying off to the other side of the house, or break any windows on that side. No photos yet; it's dark still and I'm afraid of getting hit by flying debris. I don't even feel safe in the master bedroom, or the garage for that matter. Just now I heard another huge crash, and noise on the roof. The porch cover is gone, taking sections of roof and the chimney with it. It also broke off the valve handle to the outside shower, so the water is off until I can cap the shower head. Guess I'll be on the horn to find a roofer this morning. I've already filed a claim with the homeowner's insurance company.

More progress on the brush pile yesterday, cleaning up another dozen or more trees and burning a lot of sticks and limbs. I've cleared an area of about 30'x70' so far, and have another 20'x60' to go. Gonna be a while before I can get at it again, with the ground turned to mud by the rain last night and today, though.

Good Morning
It’s 25 and not supposed to change much throughout the day.
Kind of grey, but no precipitation in the forecast.

Yesterday went well for the most part. I couldn’t open the drain at my daughters house with what I brought, so I went to HD to get a small drain snake. Figured I’d use my Christmas present gift card.
Apparently I dropped it in the HD parking lot, when I backed track to look for it within 3 minutes, the truck parked next to me was gone and no sign of the card. Oh well….

Bought the snake, cleared the drain, wife came over with Zoe, she ran around with daughters dogs and had fun. Zoe is 9 weeks old, Gracie is 6 years old.

She is napping now after racing around and doing puppy stuff, getting into everything.
Just got a call from Daughter in law, they have no heat, son left for work at 3:30am. Sounds like blower fan, as soon as wife gets back up from barn, I’ll go see what’s up. It’s a big change having a puppy that needs a constant eye.

RNG, be careful out there, flying sheet metal can be lethal. Hope everything settles down soon and you can assess the damage. You’re too far of a commute for me to come get in the way!

Kilroy
I have been watching older TV programs during relaxing times. Dragnet, Jack Benny, Burns and Allen, laugh-in and others. Some of them would not be allowed because someone would be offended. I like Highway Patrol. Seeing cars from the 50s.
I get 60 Local channels from roof mounted antenna. Now that I have it tuned in. About to dump cable TV.
Last year we binged on “Thunderbirds”. And the year before on “Rockford Files”

Christmas decorations put away so soon Don?
guess I'd better get to work...usually take them down New Years Day.
I think a lot more lights were up this year.
Maybe a good psychological sign
Ours stay up until 3 Kings
