I've Been Everywhere" was written by Australian country singer Geoff Mack in 1959 and made popular by Lucky Starr, Australian pop and folk singer in 1962. The song listed Australian towns. In the same year, Hank Snow adapted it to American towns and then in 1966 John Hore (known as John Grenell) adapted it for New Zealand with New Zealand’s towns. Many popular singers also recorded this song.

buppies, you and me both. I know what caused my problem and it was my own fault. I know better than to eat cheese and I ate a generous portion of a potato and cheese concoction the neighbour made for me. This is the neighbour that pays me in food for plowing her driveway and other assorted work, like digging out tree stumps in the spring/fall.

After my morning post I watched a film on you tube as told by Clyde Barrows' sister and others.
I guess the cops REALLY wanted them stopped, to stoop to out and out murder.

Helo, hoarfrost looks great in pictures, but not on my property.

IMHO the best way to save money on the electric bill is to shut off the A/C and turn on a fan and open the windows on the shady side of the house. Keep the curtains and windows closed on the sunny side.

daugen, I never did get a 'stripper clip' for my Lee Enfield SMLE rifles (had three of 'em), but I had three magazines for them, Each magazine held 10 rounds and I always loaded one in the chamber and lowered the firing pin onto it gently and put the safety on. First round to fire, I just pulled back the plunger took aim and fired, after taking the safety off. After that I cycled the bolt to load the rest one at a time.
I don't have any firearms now. .303s tear my shoulder off when shooting them so I sold them.

Good morning! 19 now, high is supposed to be 34. sun is shining now. When I stumbled down stairs around 4 AM to add some wood to the wood burner, it was 12. Still not looking good for the weekend.

just did a bunch of odds and ends yesterday. Today may be the same.

Everyone stay safe out there

Had the lever action 243 browning for more that 50 years. It has a 5 shot magazine only. But after the retina surgery on my right eye I can not shoot "straight". Anyone tried to shoot from other side? Not easy I think to change over

Have to get left handed gun I believe

I have always shot left handed, that has run the gamut of single shot bolt actions, magazine feed bolt actions, pumps, autoloaders and levers.
The pumps and levers have been the easiest to use without getting the lefty versions.
I had no trouble with the M14 or 16 while in the Marines have gotten hot brass in my shirt a few times.
Shot my M1A1 for several years in various competitions.

65°F and .26 inches of rain. Yesterday’s weather for us was just annoying compared to the severity in other areas with short periods of blustery rain. No complaints on my part. Got some inside stuff done. Got a NAS storage setup but no data transferred yet.

Very nice dinner out with Sophie. Something I rarely do, I got the Ribeye special. Haven’t looked at price yet, preferring to let the memory linger.

Hopefully dry enough to resume with flail today.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

thanks. I had a nice .22LR with a six round capacity.
It was small and seemed like a clip to me. Held it in palm of hand. But I guess it was a magazine ?
You certainly reused it. Didn't most WWII rifles used "stripper cllps" You always hear them go ka ching in the movies.
I wonder who picks all that stuff up...are most empty clips reused?

so I'm guessing a clip is a small magazine. Of sorts...
you graduate from a clip to a magazine to a ? belt....

I find the mechanics of guns fascinating.

I think WWI was more where the clips were used for that era of rifles. I am sure there are folks here with more knowledge than I have on this.
Have an air rifle that I plan to get used to for left handed shooting. Saves on ammo. The pistol is easier just close my right eye. Used to have a 22 browning pistol and we used it a lot when we lived in the desert. Wife was very good at keeping the cans "moving". The 9 mm is not as much fun to shoot
