Good (Wednesday) morning. Overnight Low was a chilly 3C and it's presently 19.2C (a significant improvement from yesterday's High of 14C). The wind has eased to a gentle breeze and there was no rain in the gauge.

It's 'in-to-town' day for mail, groceries and I'll top up the ute with petrol. Hopefully I can get over to Church and do that weed spraying this arvo.

That's about it, take care all.

Good evening! 45 now and drizzling. Been about 45 all day. As rs said, next 10 days are gonna be dreary in this part of the world.

Just dabbled on stuff in the garage today. Need to make a couple of calls about the paint for the bike and it can come apart.

Made supper tonight. Chicken and biscuits, it was a hit.

Gonna take it easy this evening.

Everyone stay safe out there!

Looooong Day. Out the door at 6, home going on 7 tonight. Can’t wait for that drive to end.

Didn’t get to tell the boss, he was off again. Tomorrow is my work from home day. Had a hiccup with my sick days I took with pneumonia, had to get HR approval to go negative on my sick leave. They had rejected my time card but hope it’s sorted out. Almost had to retire today

Very scary to stop getting that paycheck though. Retirement funds will be lot less, no growing the savings.
I also don’t have much in budget for vacation stuff, as we normally don’t do much. However, I do have my work driving calculated in, so that will shift to vacation money.
Cutting dish network (they just went up again) could save over $1k, but I include dad’s on my account. (My 2nd receiver is temporarily at his house).
Need to get rid of landline that isn’t used, that will save a few bucks.

I did watch part of the battery chainsaw video. Skipped to end. I would like one, as I put off a lot of cutting just to not have to try to start the Stihl 029. I will use my echo pole saw before the Stihl, for small stuff. My only battery stuff is Bosch 18v. Except some old dewalt with bad batteries.

For those having issues starting chain saws….Stihl has an “Easy Start” option on some of their saws ( maybe other stuff, but definitely saws). You fairly easily pull the starter cord which winds a spring. When you reach end of pull, the spring disengages and spins the engine. Works nice and takes little effort.

Neat pics, David. Can you feel any additional heat from that far away?

My wife read the other day where you loose job competency now after 4 years.

That would be true as well, but I was referring more to altitude 🤙

Good morning.
-2 C. During night we have got like 10 cm of snow.
Made good job with Yanmar and broom. But looking at forecast is seems at evening will be another 10 cm. Dont care. 😎
Just need to ran to tank, get some diesel (I dont keep smelly liquids at home, maybe I should... )

Tried to drive to office. it is 11 km. Waze told 40 minutes. Which is "normal" for going across big city (650k ppl lives in Riga). Anyway, started to drive, Waze adjusted to 55 minutes
Fck that, today I am "working" from home 🤣

This is the view trough my (not yet finished) "winter garden". I am kinda "working" from there 🤣

In my case, I have a Stihl "easy start" chain saw, and they are easy to start. The challenge for me is more with balance issues related to cerebral palsy. I need to be cautious, so that especially during the pull start, I don't fall off balance with a running chain saw (if that makes any sense). I bought that chainsaw for that particular feature, and have used it for numerous jobs over the years. Nice to be able to do things myself. I don't knock trees down, but i do clean them up, remove branches etc.
