new vac really sucks. I mean it really sucks.
had to flip the lever on vac head to elevate itself from bare floor, or it sucked down so hard I
had a hard time moving it. I stuck my hand in the nozzle and it tried to eat my hand.
So....no complaints on suction. Cheapest Miele canister still made in Germany for 350 bucks.
All the hardware is thick and heavy duty. And quiet too. Cleaning lady should be thrilled tomorrow.
She's got a little Mercedes to drive.

My niece and her dad both have alligator bite. Sister ok for now.

Financial guy gave for me to retire. So tomorrow I tell the boss it’s going to happen. The experiment starts in January. I’m nervous. He thinks ok to partially draw from IRA till I’m 67.
Rain starts tomorrow morning.

That is a shame with the fruit, those individually wrapped boxes like that are not cheap.

BEF, good luck with retirement. I started with 4 percent from the IRA and has gone up some to meet minimum withdraw per tax rules and even with that the account has increased in value although it is down in general now but still above the starting point 10 years ago

now I have a light switch with so many settings it gets genuinely confusing. Am I on auto dim? Are my headlights that to a degree steer/look around corners
actually doing that? Do I want the rear fog lamp on so I look Euro?...
Front fog lights do help with pot hole detection.

yes Lou, that moldy one went right in the trash. I give half to a neighbor but thankfully can repack them.
they look green and unimpressive. I wonder if the bad one, which was at the very corner, got frozen.
If I send that pic in they will send me something. Now I have to wonder what my siblings got, any moldy mayhem in them?
Can only wonder what that mold is, benign or?

Next year I know exactly what I'm doing to avoid this. Going to go get couple pecks of apples, pack them in USPS box prepaid mailers and send those instead.
Do my own fruit delivery with local apples. Each apple in bubble wrap. No matter what you send something by UPS and you don't know if it will sit in a freezing truck overnight.
by by oranges; apples I think will be more durable. Plus I can inspect every one before it goes out. I bet it will cut my cost in half, plus keeps money more local.

I can finally chew inside of apple, can't do skin yet. Baked apple slices I made were yummy. They were soft and easy to eat but skins there a problem too.
Just shows how much you depend upon your molars to grind down on things. No grinding today.

Assuming we are talking about tree limbs.
BUT
What diameter are your limbs? Are they hardwood or softwood?
I've a 40V Harbor Freight (discontinued) that I used to take down up to 8" softwoods and cut up 6" diameter hardwood limbs.
Now I use a DeWalt 20v Max 12" for my little (6" and mostly less) limbs. But I have dozens of the 20V max tools and batteries.
80V chainsaw should be getting into big limbs and a 16" to 18" bar.

Good, very late (Tuesday) morning. The Overnight Low was 6C and it's presently 16C... which doesn't take in the wind-chill as it's howling outside, overcast. There was a pitiful 0.2mm in the gauge.

Not much was accomplished yesterday, other than attend the Memorial for a fellow Veteran (very well attended too) but I did manage to clean my bathroom. I'd, somewhat, planned to head into town today IOT spray for weeds around the Church but with the winds we're experiencing it would be useless.

I've got an "Electrolux" vacuum. I've had it for 17 years and it's still going strong.

I have the Makita 36v saw that uses 2 LXT 18v batteries. It has several other happy users on this list as well.
It was a no brainer for me as I have many other Makita tools and plenty of batteries. If you are already invested in another battery tool system like Milwaukee, you might look there. The project farm YouTube channel tested and reviewed battery chainsaws.

41F and cloudy @ 23:00, heading down to a low of around 40F overnight. Some rain due in here shortly, then on and off through tomorrow night.

Got meds doled out and banking handled.

Then two pallets of 2 x 4's moved inside the barn but not before I brought one of them over here to the house and unloaded about 20 off it, which should be enough to get the framing put up on that south exterior wall. They're leaning up against the side of the house, still need to move them inside.

Also brought over the router table, just went down and moved that inside since it appears to be made out of MDF and I didn't want it getting wet.

Salt guy came by earlier in the day when I was up dumping compostables at the pile. Didn't really need any but I had him come on down to the house and drop a couple of bags in the loader bucket so we could give him his Christmas tip. Likely won't see him again until May. Took those around back, still need to move them inside.

Woman and I made the trip to Menards and picked up order: 4 large tubes of PL 300 Foamboard Adhesive, 4 sheets of lightweight drywall, gallon of drywall primer, and a few el cheapo odds and ends they had on the Black Friday sale (little tripod for phone/camera, 3'/6'/10' charge cords for phones, quilted pad for the sofa)

We also went inside and did a little shopping with the rebate checks as well: the new LED light fixture for the dining room to replace the chandelier, tp, kleenex, and paper towels, and a Tapcon TriggerDrive Powder Actuated Tool and some loads and nails for that.

Plus grabbed a bunch of paint color charts.

Headed across the street to Wally World and returned the defective LED tube bulb, they were out of the one I needed of course ...

She wanted some fried rice from Panda Express so we swung by there on the way out, that ended being two meals. Don't remember having eaten their food before, was alright ... but I wasn't terribly impressed. Probably wouldn't go back.

Dropped the trash in the can up at the road and grabbed the mail on the way out.

I had a large portion of sheet cake for desert.

No progress on other undone items ...

Moderate wind with brisk gusts, Mostly clear sky, and high temp was 78ºF. putter to start day, leaf control on back porch and north sidewalk, then lunch ride and nap.After dinner got call from old friend, He retired and got married, both of which I thought were long shots for him. Might get chance to see him over Christmas.

I have a Husquvarna with a 14" bar. It managed the 30" diameter spruce tree that fell over and broke the trunk few years ago in the back yard. The tree was about 60' tall. I don't remember how many volts the batteries are but I do know that after I cleaned up the tree I had recharged both batteries twice.

North Bay trip went off without a hitch. I will be going to Richmond Hill on Thursday. If I do, then after the business in RH (I'm selling 100 ozt of silver) I will carry on to Markham for the annual Christmas glad handing.

To me chain saw is rather simple thing.
So my advice is - go for brand which batteries you already have, and buy bare saw
If you dont have any batteries - think about future, look for system you might have.
Should you go more to garden direction - blower, cleaner, trimmer, whatever. Those are Husqwarna, Stihl.
Handymans more like Makita, Dewalt, Bosch

Seems that fun time is here.

At mid November meteorologists has talked about soft and warm winter. So I haven't get new winter tires, just switched to old ones I have used 2 years (40.000 km) already. Tires are on lower limit. But I thought for black roads even those will be good enough
Already have made unexpected stop in ditch.

Seems that my trust in those liars and attempt to save some pennies has failed miserably
