Good morning (evening) to all! Low this morning was only 35°, going up to the low 50's. Unfortunately, windy today. Started about 08:30 --- like a wall of wind.... nothing, then instant 35mph. Gusts to 45 mph.
By 16:30, back to very light breezes. Supposed to cool down this weekend with fairly good chances of showers tomorrow, better chances for rain on Sunday.
Tires got rebalanced, now smooth as glass. The same guy redid them, which made me a little apprehensive, but the manager walked over to him / machine as he did each tire. The manager updated me frequently with the amount amount of weight needed for each, and what he thinks happened the first time.... the guy using the wrong "taper" on the machine to hold the tire.
Still dealing with some personal demons..... combination of working EMS for 20+ years (I've been told probably PTSD), but now not working at all..... plus still dealing with the stubborn knee issues.... well, just getting to a breaking point. It will get straightened out, just need time......
I did get some Christmas lights up yesterday. Nowhere near what usually gets put up. That's ok.... it's quaint.....
Drew, good to hear that the genny worked under "real world" situation. You would be surprised at how much sound gets decreased just by a 3 sided enclosure.
I use my big compressor in the shop all year long, and sometimes it's in the 20's. The portable compressor lives out there too, it's a commercial 'Rol-Aire' and doesn't like to turn over when it gets cold.... anything below 40°.
PJ, sorry to hear that you had to quit early.... but it was a good decision! I am from the same school ---- do the right thing. What your manager asked was definitely unethical for sure!
PopG, that was a nice tree that went down.... maybe a microburst type of wind? Hope cleanup goes well!
Dennis, glad you're feeling a little better! Hope you get over the crud soon!
I had to catch up.... I'm sure I missed some other goings-on....
Hope everyone had a great day!
