Yea! the cranes are back! (y)
a very cool bird

RS, great post. someone be deprived of the very air they breathe
lot of leaves....you have a tracvac?

speaking of leaves, maybe by lunchtime will be dry enough to blow some leaves in piles this afternoon
and then suck them up with mower. Big yellow leaves all over the place, pretty, but need to wind up on leaf pile back in woods.

Need to find a storage home for driveway scraper, takes up too much room in little garage and I'm afraid it will topple over and
surely wreck the car. Have a friend with a farm and barn locally, will call him this morning. He has a long gravel driveway back into the woods,
beautiful secluded farm, so I bet he will want to have me use it on his lane. His zero turn can't pull it, my JD lawn mower can, but better I pull it with
Gravely garden tractor. Perfect job for the Gravely. Do not want to buy a new TuffTorque hydro trans for pulling device...Gravely is all gear with lots of power.
Maybe I should hire out as a driveway leveler...
The leveler comes with three hitch pins, all cut down as breakaways. One way to protect the device...I think first time it breaks I'll put a regular hitch pin in.
Kind of curious what level of drag would break the oem one. Like hitting a big root or rock, getting hung up on something. I don't see that happening.

20 bucks for half a five gallon can of gas, yikes Bill. Time for an EV...though i would not expect Northern Ontario to be loaded with charging stations

Good morning! 42˚F heading to the mid 70s, clear skies.
Mostly picked peppers and eggplants from the garden yesterday. I have not planted the Fall/winter garden, but it's on the to do list for next week.
Got an e-mail from the "Farm". They want me to continue on through their Christmas season, Black Friday - Dec 31, after that they shut down for the winter till the Spring/Easter season. I'm still thinking about it and have some questions on which days the tractor rides will be offered. They are promising fewer hours. The last big bash, long hours, for the Fall Festival will be this weekend before they close out the festival with two weeks of reduced hours of operation.

Good Morning
It’s 56 with a high of 60 today. Windy with this mornings clouds giving way to clear skies.

Yesterday I managed to check a few things off the list. Got the new tankless water heater installed, works great, and it should, as it takes 2 40amp 240v circuits to power it. It modulates the power so that it only draws what it needs to meet the demand. I installed a 2 gpm flow limiter, so it will make endless hot water now. Install went well except that the red PEX that I had wasn’t PEX-A and leaked with the expansion fittings. Had to redo it with some white PEX-A.
Drew stopped by for some pulled pork for Ken and himself when I was on a ladder soldering in the transitions to PEX. He left some bounty from his garden, and enjoyed a Peach Snapple on his way out.

Got the van returned to its rightful owner, my daughter picked me up and returned me to my place. It was about a 50 minute drive in each direction. I really liked the Sprinter, I wish I had an excuse to own one.
The best news all day was that the breeder in NC that we gave a deposit to for a Landseer puppy sent us this picture-

7 boys and 3 girls were born on Monday. One of the girls will be coming home with us after Christmas.

Today I’m off to go fly with the FAA, the 25 knot winds will make it fun.

Good Morning!!!! 56F @ 5:00AM.
Mostly sunny. High 74F. Winds light and variable.
Looks like we may get some rain next Tuesday and Wednesday. Just glad it held off for the weekend.

What'll happen to that doe, Billy?

Nice to see the cranes again, Ron.

A flying test, Paul?

Yesterday seemed like I was bouncing around all over the place. I'd do a little on one thing, like start a load of laundry, then switch off to something else, switch again, usually when I went from one place to another to do something else all together. One of those things was slow smoking a rack of ribs, and all the distractions ment I didn't feed it as much wood for smoke as I'd have liked. But they were still delicious. I'm hopin' the chili I put together last night is good, too. Might have to have some for breakfast.🤣

I did get some seat time in, filling in some rain ruts in the front yard, and dragging an old piece of chain link fence over the gravel I put down last week to smooth and even it out some. That worked OK, but would work better with a pipe or bar across the forward end to give it some down force. As it was, I just hooked it over a couple of bolts that stuck out of the top of the box blade. Didn't have the time to fool with it more, though.

Hang in there, gang, Friday's comin'!

53 going to 63 and clear skies.
Under the weather today, so probably work half day and take a nap.
My temp is actually low at 97.3 , what do you take to raise it??

PopG - that install looks so clean. Have a safe flight and thanks for thinking of me for the brisket.
New puppy - that should be fun, I remember ours as a puppy, though it was a few years back.

Drew is topping by later with brisket and I feel bad since I can't go greet him, don't want to pass on whatever I have.

couple of meetings , then back to sleep for me.

Just finished my 3 egg omelet, white toast, v8, and 2 cups of coffee. Time to head out and check for eggs, then get ready for work.

neither rain nor snow nor gloom of night nor Ken's entire family being sick will keep me from
my appointed rounds, the smoked brisket will get delivered as planned this morning.
And oh my is it yummy. Meat candy.

Ken, feel better.

that's a nice looking instant hot water heater.
I had a mini one in my last rv. A Truma. Never ran out of hot water,
, well I took some long hot showers in that rv. But only if dump valve for grey water was open. Wasn't about to take a really long
shower draining into a not so big plastic tank.

yes, I came in at exactly the wrong time, bothering Paul in the middle of an install, which I'm sure was done beautifully.
He has a fridge with my favorite diet peach snapple in it; I'm a shameless mooch when I'm there.

a new little girl for the new year 🐾(y)
