Good morning to all! Low of 34°, only going up to around 45°, chances of rain / snow mix. This is the only place that I've lived that there could be snow above 32°. I believe it's because of our elevation at almost 7000 ft. If the ceiling/cloud cover is low enough, the snow doesn't have a chance to melt... at least not all of it.
Didn't get to do the oil change on the car yesterday. Went to our local parts store.... no oil filter in stock. I need to go into town this afternoon, so I'll get one there. I'm not too concerned, the car has synthetic oil in it, but I still change at 5k miles, not at 10K, like the dealer says is ok. Peace of mind at a small price....
I did get to go out to the shop and start on the wifey's shelf project. Got it cut, sanded, and stained. A quick coat of wax, some rubbing/buffing this morning, and install this afternoon. I still need to drill the mounting holes in the decorative metal sides of the unit.... shouldn't be too hard. The sides are 3/4" square tube, really thin wall.

The shelf will go centered on the cross buck. Wifey still needs to clear off the nick-nacks........
I found some 1/2"x1/2" aluminum angle out in the shop that I used for the frame for the grow lights. Cut the pieces to size and riveted the corners. Thought about breaking out the mig/tig, but that's more than needed.... rivets work. Glued up some wood side supports that the channel will mount to and span the length. This way, she can use 1, 2, or 3 grow lights as needed. I'll post a pic of the finished unit later.
Heading out to the shop now and get some waxing done before leaving for town...
Everyone have a great day!
