39°F and clear skies this morning, only going up to 49° today. Chilly start to the week, with lows getting in the 20s the next few nights. Then upper 70s for highs next weekend. Go figure.
The move of the sewing room had one big hitch; the quilting machine didn't fit nearly as well as we'd hoped. So, after taking it apart to move it in there, we took it apart again Sunday morning and moved it back out. Got all the cabinets cleaned out and moved after that. We to carry them out the front door and down the hill to the walkout side of the basement. Wasn't too bad. Also got the new one assembled, so she has four now, three with doors and one open. Had to make a run to the Ace hardware store in Highland to get brackets to connect them together at the top, and mount them to the wall. The carpet in this room made them too unsteady. Put new ceramic knobs on the new one to match the others, and a magnetic catch for the doors. Got her two collapsible sewing tables and cutting table moved, and put more shelving in the closet. Busy Sunday.
Long hot shower, then slept like a baby last night.
Once she gets the old sewing room cleaned up, we'll move the bedroom furniture up there. Only big change in there will be moving the wall-mounted television to an adjacent wall.
Scary-sounding fall, SC. Hope you're feeling better today.
Glad your son had a good gig, Ken. Seeing that the singer is wearing an Anthrax shirt and ratty jeans, I think I like this band already.
Some great pics this morning, fellas.
Good morning.
