Morning, 53 right now, steady rain for the last few hours.
inside work today and sons friends coming over to have a jam session.
Upgraded this laptop to Windows 11 yesterday, some glitches, but all good now, I hope.

Bought a new washer, should be here next week sometime.
expensive, but looks better built than my last one.
Hopefully this gets delivered without being seriously damaged like the microwave was.

Happy belated birthday Alien - hope it was a great day

M7040 - great to see the war being monitored by people who know what they are doing.

Buppies - 45 feet of dunes is a lot, glad no real damage. Mother natures forces can get real, real fast.

Good morning! 57 now, high of 65 or so. And the clouds have cleared out.

Rain 1, Kawasaki 0. But we did have an awesome rainbow last evening after we got home and unloaded.

But, the Kawasaki got a lot of attention before the rain started. People were impressed by it. So that made me feel good. Wife was impressed too. Couple of young riders were looking it over and asked Johnny if he was actually gonna ride it. He told them yes…..the one rider replied “ that isn’t fair, you are faster than me on a 450“. We laughed.

Guess I will start on replacing the deck on the $100 HF trailer. It was shaky when I drug it home 6 or so years ago, it never got better. Time for new.

Everyone stay safe out there,

more than a inch of rain in last three hours, lot more than expected, got soaked coming out of church
turned up heat in house to get rid of chill
not much else planned except watch the back yard flood

2.99 for extra large eggs a few days ago. Used to be 1.39, more than doubled
of course I think the old prices were too low, but now both milk and eggs have really gone up

scootr said, "Glad to hear your knee is feeling better. What is the medicine you are taking for it? My knee has been barking at me every step for a few days, it was better yesterday after I took some ibuprofen."

There was supposedly some inflamation so one thing I'm taking is the common cheap Methylpred 4 mg and another is a specially compounded cream from a compounding pharmacy. It's CCRX 4- LIDO 2%/PRILO HCL 2%/LAMOT 2.5%/MELOX 0,09% CREAM. Now if you understand all that, you're way ahead of me, but it seems to be good stuff.

67°F and no rain.

Yesterday’s dinner was well worth the effort. My glass of wine seemed to immediately trigger the nap button.

Watch some football today. Need to squeeze in a dump run before SNF.

Otherwise an energy conservation day

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

61F and supposedly "mostly cloudy" @ 11:45 ... but I'm sure seeing lots of sunshine ... (y)

Headed up to a high of around 64F with only a 1% chance of rain.

But just got an alert on phone that a FROST ADVISORY has been issued for tonight ...

Birds enjoying having some food in the feeder.

No further action on live trap (as of yesterday), need to check it this morning.

More good progress on emptying out the barn yesterday.

Got the large dirt pile I had stored in there moved out plus some other items. Amazing how dry it was.

In fact, it amazing how dry the entire floor in there tends to be ... driving over it turns it into powder/dust, which makes it seem totally dry. But the odd thing is if you lay a piece of wood down on it, it will draw moisture. A good example of how appearances can be deceiving.

Also got a bunch of leaves and other debris inside raked up and taken to the back of the property and dumped.

Checked up at the shop, still no luck finding the trailer ball. May head down to Harbor Freight later today if it doesn't turn up.

Returned neighbor's ratchet strap that he let me borrow.

Got Menards order placed then headed out to go pick it up around 19:00, was back before 21:00.

Got another 4 gallons of diesel for the Kubota while I was out, plus put some in the van as well as the "Low Fuel" had come on. Price was down to $4.699 per gallon ... which is the lowest I've seen in quite a while.

Woman brought home a Jimmy Johns "Gargantuan" for dinner ... was very tasty ... but I couldn't quite finish it.

Just realized I only ordered half the joist hangers that I need. Oh well, no biggie ... still have to order and pick up the joists anyways.

Today is The Woman's last day @ Fedex (supposedly ...)

Agenda for the rest of the day:

Check hopper feeder.

Unload geo-tex, vapor barrier and the 3 sheets of foam board I picked up last night from the van.

Move joist hangers and screws over to the barn.

Do some clean up of gravel piles over by the barn.

Maybe bring down the soil screen to the barn and do some soil screening.

Continue moving stuff out of the barn ... although I am running out of places to put stuff where it won't be in the way.

Grass still growing at a good clip, will need to get back to that at some point.

Hope everyone has a great Sunday ... (y)
