Chestnuts are starting to come down. Deers love them and show up at first light to munch on them. We will have a bunch come down soon and it always attract lots of deers. Around the garden we erected a 10 ft fence that so far has kept the deers out

Exactly...with a cat (and sometimes a dog), you don't stop until they're ready for you to stop...

Cat question for you feline owners....
Our cat almost 2 years old. Orange and white female. We got her as a stray and had her spayed. Outside barn cat. (she has a warming element for winter). She doesn't get loads of affection, but will let us pet her daily, scratching her jowls and such. But when it's late in the evening, if you spend time with her and pet her as mentioned, when you're done and starting to walk away, she will often try to bite you on the ankle/leg. And not a light bite, but enough to hurt and I told my wife and kids to only pet her if you have pants on.

What is going on?

I would pat scratch rub our female cat about 2-3 years old as I walk away she would run behind me jump on my leg and lightly bite,I would stop and give her longer affection than I was good to go...she now has out grown action,some say another way of cats showing their affection.

Been good day...Brush and leaves clean up corn of side field,gave the front field looow haircut made BIG pot of corn chowder my way and Mrs. now making butter biscuits for tonight's dinner finger still cross hard for NYG to win another game.

Morning all, sunny and going up to 84 today.

Went to Terhune Orchard yesterday, not sure that going there makes sense anymore as they charge $15 to get in for all the "stuff" mostly aimed at little kids. Went there for cider donuts (for the wife as they use milk) and some wine tasting.
Wine, as usual is nothing special and $12 for 4 small "tasting" glasses.

Back when they only charged a few dollars for a full wine tasting we used to buy a few bottles, but at $12 for the limited tasting, they won't get that business.

Got 3 of the lawn areas mowed yesterday.

Just got in from 3 hours of using the trimmer. The Stiltgrass grew fast while I was away. Hate that stuff.

Hope all are doing better, slept in (more like passed out) and feel a bit better today.
