Cat question for you feline owners....
Our cat almost 2 years old. Orange and white female. We got her as a stray and had her spayed. Outside barn cat. (she has a warming element for winter). She doesn't get loads of affection, but will let us pet her daily, scratching her jowls and such. But when it's late in the evening, if you spend time with her and pet her as mentioned, when you're done and starting to walk away, she will often try to bite you on the ankle/leg. And not a light bite, but enough to hurt and I told my wife and kids to only pet her if you have pants on.

What is going on?

LOL ... that's easy: she wants you to keep going with the petting/scratching.

Can't never have too much petting (... except, of course, when you do)

;)

Yesterday we talked to a newly arrived exchange student 15 years old who will stay with a family in Arizona. She is from our family back in Denmark and we put her in touch with one of our grandkids who is also 15 years old so they can talk together and help her if she has questions about school and living in the US. When asked how is Arizona she said HOT.

62F and sunny @ 09:00, heading up to a high of around 83F for the day. Rain due in tonight, 88% chance, around 0.25" expected. Calling for rain tomorrow as well: 92% chance, 0.43" expected. Then a dry day followed by rain on Wednesday.
Was wondering why you screen the soil? To get the rocks out? Seems easier to spread it and pick up the bigger rocks only.

Good morning to all! Low of 50°, going for a high of 82°. Nice for sure! Haven't watched a forecast for a few days, so no clue if we're still expecting some rain in the coming week. I hope so....

Did some double checks on the Jeep yesterday, a final test drive, then parked it out of the way until the daughter can come down to pick it up. I need to total all the receipts and see if all the costs balance out.

Started gathering the materials for the wifey's shelves.... but got easily distracted to organize the shop prior to the commencement of building them.

Need to make room for pallet of pellets to be picked up this week. I made the mistake, earlier this spring, to put the welder and plasma cutter cart in the spot for the pellets. Then of course the old spot where it was got filled with the newly acquired dust collector and other tools.

The landscaping got a decent drink from the drip system yesterday. It's the time of year to start cutting it back, so got all of the zones done. Cut 15 to 30 minutes off each zone. Next step will be to cut back to once a week vs. twice a week.

Upcoming project: get started on the walkway in the courtyard. Sometime this week, hopefully after some rain softens the dirt. The walkway border has 6" plastic / composite spikes for installation, not sure how easy they can be driven into hard clay soil. I have been contemplating using a drill to put in 'pilot holes'. I am still amazed at how hard the dirt gets when it's dry.

Time is a wastin'.... need to get myself moving....
Everyone have a great day!

Yup - larger rocks … and organic material like roots.

Don’t want the organics under any type of paving, slabs, etc.

Plus it will get used as bedding/fill around pipes. Don’t want any sharp rocks in there.

Seems easier to spread it and pick up the bigger rocks only.

Well, it’s actually easier to screen it: no “picking up” involved.

In the past when filling in dirt I have used the 3 point landscape rake to rake rocks and debris into a pile to haul off but I can see screening it will do a much better job

71°F and .69 inches rain.

Had a nice dinner at a recently opened Cantina. Been open about 2 weeks. This is actually their 2nd location on island but we had never been to the other. We’d go again.

Likely watch some football today. But I don’t recall any particular games of interest being available.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

62°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 91° today. We were supposed to be getting some rain this evening. Then, it suddenly showed up on radar this morning. We've gotten nothing but a few sprinkles so far, and now it's falling apart around us. Guess I'll get the rest of that mowing done after all.

No kayaking this weekend. Wife has been having allergy problems this week, and the nasal drip sends her into coughing fits. No point having one of those out on the water.

Good morning, gents.

Good Afternoon.
It was 57 when I left the house this morning at 6:30.
Going to a high in the low 80’s.

Yesterday’s chores were mostly in the shop working on the speaker. This one used different recessed handles than I usually use, so I had to make router templates to make the cutout and recess so that they mount flush. Went to the restaurant for a quick dinner, ended up changing the belt on a meat slicer. Had to run home and get a spanner to take the blade off. Got it all done and they wouldn’t let me have the slice of pizza that I came for, they made me eat this instead.

By the time I got home it was bed time, I was in Pittsburgh by 8:30. Hopefully the Steelers game is a blowout and my passengers will leave early, otherwise I’ll be here until 5:30 or so.
