thanks for the ideas on dogs guys.
my mind is simply a fog, three hours of a regional church meeting that should have taken two hours, when geeze one meeting wanted support of a minute/declaration
supporting female reproductive choice. Wasn't much objection to that until one lady wanted an amendment, adding wording to women to include transsexual men.
This is a bunch of mostly elderly folks, and wow what a rabbit hole we went down. Finally one person had to start from scratch and explain what transsexual meant to this group
of aghast folks and why it was an issue. Women or folks who have uteruses. Now we are discussing uteruses. oh my. Guys with uteruses.
Well.....my barber is a transexxual male who looks like a gorgeous woman. And he's not effeminate with me at all.
He has long hair to die for. He clearly identifies as a lady. Now he's not the issue here. He started off as a guy, not a woman.
When you start off as a woman and identify as a guy, you can still get pregnant. And folks have.
So one guy representing Newtown PA Meeting, right nearby, said uh,
I don't think all of my Meeting would go along with that.
So that went on the record, in our verbiage he "stood aside". Meaning not to stand in the way, but clearly representing that there is a wide variety
of opinions on this and we can't assume what folks think.
before this gets dismissed as woke or nonsense, I think if we talked to some parents of children who grew up different, we'd be a lot more tolerant.
I've had three wives. I love women. No desire and no history with guys. Growing up in a town that was half gay was very interesting.
So now we have gays and the something elses. And a continuing disagreement and lack of unity on how to present the idea of gay and something elses to children.
And at what age if ever. Being on an elementary school school board, I find this very interesting. And important.
I'm not into promoting alternative life styles. Also not into restricting them
if that's how nature takes its course.
I've said before I spent six years on a Planned Parenthood board, two guys and eight women. Really bright women.
But I went off the board before the issue of abortion came up. Glad I did. I have real objections to unlimited abortions and so do a lot of other people.
Drawing the line gets folks really upset with each other. Not for here.
I can chuckle over Buckeye trying to explain to his 98 year old father about the new sensitivities.
Alien, I wonder if your dog thought there was something neat buried under there.
Drew (me)
not him, not he, just me
not meant to get anyone's BP raised here. Not good for this group...
time to make some strawberry muffins and some blueberry muffins.
Probably will mix them both together, berry muffins.
Maybe I could bribe Popgadget some berry muffins for a sharpening on my five dull drill bits.
But he doesn't eat a lot of sweets so these will have to be extra healthy.
I need to go visit my friend near Harleysville and I drive past Paul's house on the way. Except I usually miss his driveway.
Not any more.
And you all know why.
That big gleaming yellow steel fortress he calls a mailbox.
