Good morning!!!!

Back from our road trip..... we went all the way to Arizona! There is a little strip of very old buildings that are "tourist trap" shops. It was called "Yellowhorse trading post". Neat place, really done up in the old west theme. Lots of pottery and Navajo goods / jewelry.

Max had his 'field break', and we started back towards home. There were a couple spots that had a flash flood go across I-40 a few days ago. There were some really big loaders and excavators clearing the dirt and rock. There was actually damage to guardrails and dividers. Never underestimate the power of water!

Stopped at a place called "Laguna Burger", which is on the Acoma / Laguna pueblo reservation. The 1/2 lb buffalo burgers are are simply irresistible and delectable! .... and fries cut from a fresh whole potato when you order. Not cheap, but worth every penny.

Max enjoyed his ride in the car. It is funny how he knows he is going for a ride.... first, he starts getting a bit excited when he sees 'mother' putting on her jeans.... then, when she gets her purse... well all bets are off --- Max is now jumping at his harness / leash. No turning him off until he goes for a ride. He has been this way since puppyhood. Oh, he loves the RV too!

Time to go stretch out..... after 378 miles of sitting in the drivers seat, I need to straighten up.

Everyone have a great evening!

66F and partly cloudy @ 22:15, possibility (32%) of a few showers developing late. Headed down to a low of 65F overnight.

Spent the day tilling and collecting glacial potatoes, did a pass then pick up rocks.

Today's harvest:

Still plenty more rocks out there though, trying to persuade the neighbor kid to drop by tomorrow with the Rockhound and run over it. It will likely need greasing and maybe an adjustment on the chain tension though.

After that, I took the Cub and and the Chapin tow-behind spreader put down about 30 lbs of 12-12-12 on the food plot area and then tilled it in.

Would like to get the seed sown tomorrow.

We'll see, largely depends on the weather.

Hope everyone had a great Sunday ... (y)

Just got my oxygen regulator back from being rebuilt. It looks like new. They did a good job for much less than a View attachment 759049new one
looks good, like they even buffed it! I have rebuilt my own, making Viton face seals to replace the old cracked ones. Gotta be careful. No oils on O2 stuff.
How much did they charge mind I ask?
4am. 62º going to 93º in Winchester CA today. Sunny and dry. Wish we could get some rain without a flood. The wheat crop was a bust this year again. Everything needs water.

I’m sold. Bring your drill bits!!
they are really, really good.....

good morning all. Surprising amount of steady nice rain last night, about 1.20 on rain gauge. Perfect rain and we needed it. More rain this afternoon.
Have PT this morning but first landlady is coming early with contractor, to consider putting in a small dirt berm in back yard to keep
flooding road water from filling up septic system.

hmmm, i have an extra plate of five muffins. Nieces and nephews or Popgadget? Hmmm. really want those drill bits sharpened.
Sorry kids. Paul gets your muffins.
will you be home this afternoon?

Buckeye, I was only kidding about your Dad, respect your views.
We need to enjoy all the things we have in common, not what pulls us apart.
Your Dad on that tractor is what we all want someday for us. Still with our marbles and most of our health.

Ted, glad you had a fun trip. And really glad you folks in the s/w are getting some rain.
going to look nice and green outside here this morning.
Now if only all those Western reservoirs would fill up.

Good morning! A warm 78˚F before sunrise but today will be an exciting weather day. The wind will shift between 1 and 3PM and the North will send us a 70% chance of rain.

Remember all those mornings last week I put on the agenda to mow the yard, something always came up, so this morning if the dew evaporates before the rains I'll finally get to the yard. With the two 1/3" and 1/4" rains we had last week and the expected rain today I have turned off the yard irrigation system. The town lake is still 2' lower than the lowest level it has been in the last three years.
