Good morning!!!!

I did learn that should I have a warranty issue having the mechanic come out isn’t covered. Need to seriously look for a trailer.
Good morning. 74˚F heading to 100˚ no rain, exceptional drought conditions. If Mostly does not squeeze all the moister from the cool front later this week we might finally have some rain.

David I only had the mechanic come out twice for my Kubota 5030 in ten years. One was covered by insurance (tree on BH) and the other only cost $75 extra. I came out ahead by not having to buy a larger trailer for the tractor one tire would have cost that much.

Lawn mowing did not happen yesterday the lingering dew hung around till it got too hot. The only places that really need mowing are where the irrigation sprinklers come up. I did pick okra and tomatillos and promptly made salsa verde and a bowl of air fried okra. Cards went well and I'm starting my move up the rankings I'm #5 currently and with 4 wins yesterday I should move up a few more.

Don, I miss growing okra. Is yours all green or is any of it red or orange?
I'm told it all tastes the same but might be fun to have different colors on your plate

Morning all, first morning under 60 in a while, going up to 84 and sunny.

Roy - hope you heal up fast

Not going well here, who knows.

Mine is just green. It is covered with a chickpea flour/soy milk batter before air frying with no oil so the colors would be the same, a toasted brown.

Good Morning!!!! 76F @ 5:45AM. Plentiful sunshine. Hot. High 107F. Winds light and variable.
Yesterday's high was "only" 102F, but we should beat that today and tomorrow. If the weather guessers are right, it'll be the weekend before we "cool down" back into the high 90s, then right back up over 100F for the rest of the 10-day.

It was a relief yesterday to see that the solar panels are keeping up with the A/C demand, and the system was able to sell a few more kWh of power back to the grid than it used overnight. No more six hundred dollar power bills for me, thank you very much!

Yesterday I got a weather tight box mounted to the steel gate post, then trimmed the conduit and lines up there in preparation to making the connections. It seems I couldn't find a sharp drill bit to save my life, and made several trips back down to the garage sharpening the dulled ones, then finally just bringing up the whole set to get the two holes punched. Then twisted off a sheet metal screw in one hole that was just a bit too small and had to run back down again for some Vise Grips to get it back out. Just lucky there was enough screw left sticking out to grab.

Found a nice heavy gauge piece of steel tube and cut a chunk of old motorcycle tire out to act as a bumper. The little 3/8" blade on the upright band saw zipped right through it, steel belts and beads and all. In the past, I've broken several of those blades just trying to make one cut, so Fortune smiled on me yesterday. Only needed a four pound sledge to drive it a couple feet into the ground, and more sheet metal screws to hold the tire in place. It'll be interesting to see if the banging of the gate into the stop is hard enough to egg out the hole so it stops working. Might have to auger the hole and concrete it in.

Still finding devices that hadn't made the change over to the new network controller, so got those squared away, a nice inside job for a hot afternoon. Also updated the network controller software, and it was reporting one of the runs was "blocked". Turns out that a pair of the wireless access points had decided to mesh together, completing a loop through their Ethernet connections back to the controller. The software update included a more comprehensive topology view that showed the mesh connection, and disabling the automatic mesh "feature" in the access points fixed the problem. Sometimes stuff like this is too smart for its own good.

finished all the priming and went to put on first topcoat on church exterior railing and
the label said slate grey. Not white. They left out the wrong paint for me, this appeared to be grey bathroom floor paint.
So...no white paint to be had, fine, I cleaned up and it sure looks better now.
And I didn't even kick over the bucket of paint.
Probably will be back tomorrow to finish.

now what kind of trouble can I get in...should clean out dead stuff from veggie garden,
Am sure there's a tomato of some sort hiding in that green jungle.

Good morning to all! Low of 56°, going up to 84°. The increased chances of T-storms don't officially come back into the forecast until tomorrow, but there is a good possibility today as a cold front comes across.

The weather guessers are predicting highs in the mid and upper 70's for the rest of the week. That will be exceptionally nice if it comes to fruition. Nighttime temps dropping into the mid 50's. I'll take it!

Roy, sorry to hear about your fall. Hope the soreness goes away quickly.

Ken, hope things on the home front get better. Always hard to focus when there is troubles at home. Take care.

BEF, Your dad sure looks like he is enjoying himself! It's good he's still so active.

We did get the 2 Russian Olive trees all trimmed up. They kinda look better, but at the same time, now look really tattered and misshaped. Probably just because we're used to seeing them so over grown. They'll grow / fill back in soon.
Then trimmed up a few Siberian Elm trees. ---- another prolific grower. Only had to trim some low hanging branches.

Didn't get a chance to try the weed burner yet.... maybe today.

First Jeep parts delivery arrived late yesterday. One of the important parts arrived.... the transmission kick-down cable.
I might have to start a dedicated thread to describe the ongoing trials and tribulations of repairing a neglected and abused Jeep!
I found out that in order to replace that cable, the transmission pan has to come off. The cable has an internal connection. --- not as simple as I thought.

One of the other problems is that the heater core is plugged up. Not a good thing when the vehicle lives in the mountains of Colorado..... There are two possibilities with the outcome of this.... either try to blow out the clog, or replace the core. I was hopeful that I could just clear it, but now I'm doubtful..... when I opened the radiator, it looks like there is clumps of pudding in the radiator.... not a good sign.
I'm still going to try and flush it---- the replacement of the core would require removing the entire dash and center console. About 4 hours work to remove all that. Plus the time to change the core then reassemble it all! I really don't want to do that.....

Everyone have a great day!

68°F and .23 inches rain.

Take my Ridgeline in this morning for a maintenance issue, one that pops up on the dash. Likely a morning killer as I’ll do some in town stuff while there.

Nothing planned beyond that.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Afternoon all! 78 here but low humidity makes it almost bearable!
Picked up a new electric pressure washer this weekend so figured I'd try it out on the tractor. Had to repair it first right out of the box! Soap dispenser kinked and wouldn't work. I had a 90 degree gas shutoff that fit and worked perfect. Works ok now but some idiot blew all the grease from the bucket arms all over the windows!!
After an hour of window cleaning I figured I might as well clean the inside of the cab too as it hasn't been done all summer. Looks almost new now!
Sorry to hear about all the falls and illness! Hope everyone can heal up quick!
Stay safe out there!
