It's either 69F or 77F and sunny @ 09:30, depending on who you want to believe. I think I'll go with 69F, which is the reporting station at CAK ... as opposed to "Bob's Weather", a local PWS just down the road via WU.
At any rate, both of them seem to be close on the forecasted high temp for the day: 85F or 87F.
Woman was up repeatedly last night, first couldn't sleep and then cat woke her up. She was pizzed ...
Up way too early after going to bed at around 03:30 myself ...
Did manage to get around half the EarliGlo Strawberries potted before I went to bed last night.
Also got the WB filled yesterday after replacing the hose.
Agenda for today:
Move plants out of the garage.
Refill one suet feeder.
Deploy chipmunk traps. Haven't been seeing many lately but they are still around.
Get oil stain applied to cedar board I bought a year ago for a shelf on the aquarium planter stand. That will be used on the top, which will raise the pots and allow for a second level below.
Spray rest of expanded garden area with glyphosate. Will have to wait a bit on that as it's still in shade and there's likely dew on the grass.
Make the rounds with the Water Buffalo, water new plantings up at the shop, peach trees.
Further clean up on back patio area. There's at least one pallet back there and some junk wood that needs hauled out to make some room and declutter the area.
Once that's done, I'll load up the asparagus, strawberry and rhubarb plants which are in the garage and get them moved around back. Don't think they will be bothered by the critters if they are up next to the house. Might be a few more squash plants that can be moved around back as well.
Run up and get another dump cart load of screened compost and make up some more potting soil to fill the tote. Any leftover can be taken around back and used to raise the end of the flower bed where the last three summer squash plants will go. Maybe get those planted.
The summer squash bed needs cultivated and soil added to it, so there might a second trip up to get more screened compost.
Woman noticed and commented about how all the summer squash that had been planted had really greened up. I think I'll mix up some MiracleGro and water/feed the winter squash and pumpkin plants, which are looking pretty yellow at this point.
Finish up that second large cage for another tomato plant and get one planted.
Finish mowing down here around the house.
I think I'm tired already ...
Hope everyone has a great Sunday ...
