Lake Mead is almost dry.
It's either pipe the water in or make it through RO.
I thought we wanted infrastructure improvement?
Improving water supply is a third world goal, not first world.

Soon Amazon will be bringing out a fleet of water tankers.

Good morning to all! Low of 62°, going up to mid 80's again, chance of a T-Storm.... again... There are some floating by, but nothing here. Getting dry again.

Think today will be the recuperation day, still feel tired, heat really takes it's toll. Puttering it will be..... If I do find my MIA energy, maybe take the trimmer for a short walk.

Buppies, relaxing on the beach with the better half.... doesn't get better than that. Enjoy the time!

RNG, hope you get to see the launch. One of those rare possibilities to see.

Is Ken on another world adventure? Haven't seen him post....

And Eric..... I hope the sheep didn't revolt.....

First puttering job will be to fill the bird feeders. They eat a lot!

Everyone have a great day!

July 4th poppers were fewer than July 3rd and did not upset Whipper. I guess when the new generation (right outside the border of our neighborhood) buys some they just can't wait a day to use them. The neighbor that illegally popped on New Years Eve and was reported to the CA on a deed restriction violation was silent this 4th. The police do little but the CA carries a big hammer and fine - love them, don't have to deal with stupid neighbors like RNG has to. Our neighborhood would have done a lot more than a talking to for a drone violation.
Glad you didn't have a fireworks show like this...

(I tried to insert the YouTube screen directly, but got an error message, so here's the link to a pretty scary front yard fireworks show.)

If it’s a public group, than they changed it so anyone can join. The alternative is to make it a private group, which then can never go public again.
Anyone can see content in a public group which is what I want. only members in private group can see content in it. But now anyone can join and post in any public group. For now I changed it so I have to approve all posts, which is not what I want either.
uggh

I just checked our group status. It is private, family friendly. We approve all member join requests, and monitor the posts to avoid posts and comments that are not welcome. It is pre-90s vehicles.

75F with light rain @ 11:30, heading up to around 80F for today's high. Had thunderstorms overnight, 0.48" since midnight ... woohoo !!! Scattered then isolated thunderstorms this afternoon through 16:00, followed by showers until around 19:00. Then possibility of showers overnight.

Plant watering will be replaced by a return to lawn mowing ... at least for a bit.

Woman has been researching some Peacock Orchid bulbs Burgess sent as a free gift with the order. May have to get those potted today.

Also have some tomato and pepper seedlings that need taken out of the starter trays and potted.

Need to refill that hopper feeder. It's been empty for several days and no wildlife activity out there for the last day or so as a result.

Probably pull the Cub out of the garage and tarp it with that tarp the neighbor gave me so I have some room to work out there cutting poultry netting and making up plant cages.

Noticed a doe and her fawn vacating the east planting bed when I went out to dispose of the coon kit last evening. They've been munching. I'll tolerate a bit of it ... as long as they don't completely kill things off.

Might be time to up my game with a putrified egg/cayenne pepper wash.

UPS just delivered the replacement cultivator. Appears to be retail packaging which might mean we're getting an additional battery and charger which would be nice.

Hope everyone has a great day ... (y)

66°F and .09 inches rain.

Get to inbox and play with new pressure washer this morning.

UPS dropped (literally) the new air fryer over the fence yesterday. I could tell as it was balanced against inside of gate at strange angle. I unpacked to check for obvious damage, none. There is a setup procedure involving a 20 min burn in and it was too late in the solar day for that. This morning.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Thanks, am thinking I’ll make my group private. Obviously didn’t hinder your group from growing.

David,

The Simpson pressure washer we have - which came from Tractor Supply - is very similar to the one you just got.

Have been very happy with it so far.

We just make sure to not let the engine run without flow for more than a minute and then give the starter rope a couple of pulls to dump the water in the pump after turning it off.

Before I start anything I make sure water is fully flowing through powerwasher pump and squirting out the hose. No dry starts and more important no waiting for first three minutes to get the last of the air out of the line as it spits and sputters. Never thought of that last step RS. Would you want the impeller to sit dry or wet? (is impeller the wrong term here?)
Rubber or metal or ceramic?
Made in US with GX Honda. That should last forever. I had the 390 engine with the same power rating. You had to be really careful with that thing cranked up, easy to do damage.
And stuff flies back in your face pretty fast.
