And the fire drills as well, especially the lining up and accountability part.

Paul (PopG) , I thought that I had a collection of planes.... those are pretty nice! I like the Sukhoi and J-3 the best. I am hopeful to get mine out soon and get the 2 grandsons involved.

Had a nice visit with the EDIL and GD. The egg / bacon / cheese quiche that the wifey made was a hit.

Drip system going strong....

It's already 95° at 11:00, so trying to get motivated to fix the planters.... the heat smacks you soon as the door is opened...

Feeling a little sick again this morning, just not 100%. Our coughs had gotten better, but still present. As long as it doesn't get worse.....

ok, time to stump the stars
saw a new veggie today
anyone know what this is?
Never seen those before. Looks like you use them in recipes as you would use green onions.

Okra is thinned and then I went to water and realized we have an emergency - NO water. The gardens well pump was fixed last week but this morning the high pressure pump to keep the gardens irrigated burned up. Replacement will not be here till Wednesday. So for the hottest days this year (100˚-106˚) we will have to tote water from the hand wash station. I only have about $5 investment of seeds and plants so I just might let it go, I'll see.

96˚F at noon and a Heat Index of 104. The hottest hour of the day is 5PM.

My model plane experience was similar to RNG. As I recall, Cox gas engine as well. Saved up and bought a balsa wood kit that I enjoyed building. Not an RC type, but the kind at the end of some strings, 2 I think. Nice take off and almost immediate power dive into the ground. Did spend some time trying to fix. I remember buying different pieces of balsa, but it never flew again. Decided to use my meager resources elsewhere. Anyone catch a finger flipping the prop?

Dump run is done...
Rigged the chipper, but the adjustable top link threads were frozen, so I couldn't get the QH upper hook engaged...bummer!! I used a helper (12" crescent wrench)...wouldn't budge. Soaked the threads with PB blaster and we'll try tomorrow (24 hour soak)
I did bring the chipper over to the house (about 100 yards or so) and the runners left some grooves in the lawn. Lawn roller should take care of those.
So, change of plans...mowed the lawn instead
Beautiful day...getting a bit overcast now though.
Sipping on a beer and I might watch a war movie, "Bridges at Toko-Ri"

Yes - through 4th grade.

It always involved filing out of the classrooms into the hall (less or no windows) and then sitting on the floor with our backs to the wall and leaning our heads forward onto our folded arms which were on our raised knees.

Duck and cover.
Remember the same drill and no talking.
