David, thanks, I had an old Black & Decker buffer that looked like that

thunderstorms coming through, fun to hear the thunder booms

baking some chicken thighs in toaster oven, smell is making me hungry.

Slightly burned chicken skin, which I will remove, but crispy chicken is basically a pretty good smell.
Lot of folks around the world agree.

Well, the cardiologist appointment was a bust..... they called me when I was about 3/4 the way there... just got into the big city, past the second exit. Turned around at the next. Nice waste of about 60 miles RT.....

The same gal called me today to cancel as did yesterday to confirm the appointment..... today she called to cancel because they "didn't get the heart monitor results". I told her "you probably won't get it for a while because I'm still wearing it for another week".... she said "oh....let me look".... "oh, I see that now".....
I replied WOW...REALLY? Would have been nice to know yesterday.....

I fully trust the cardiologist, but I think they are having problems keeping the ancillary staff. This was the first mistake they have made in the past 8 years, so I'll have to forgive them this time. I will let the cardiologist know about it though at the next appointment. They did reissue the lower B/P medication prescription, so not a total waste.....

Anyway, came home and put a few more fence posts in. Now I can start with the metal on the first half of the project... kinda the important section.

While I was out there, a realtor came to the old house and put up a 'for sale' sign.... I guess we have our answer in regards to what the son will be doing......

I need to get that first section done before the first lookers show up. The rest of the property is well marked and survey markers are present, so no concern for that.

I don't know how to react..... it's 50/50.....

I had to chuckle, my sister was in a swivet over her adult lawyer son taking a job as a criminal defense attorney.
He had done a number of things, mostly public defender work, which I guess is a segue into criminal defense.
Three other lawyers in immediate family, all contract/business law, never personal injury or criminal.
I wonder if the cannabis industry in California is supporting his profession.
And he bought a gun to defend his family, which sounded smart to me. That really had my sister going.
Keep the gun and if situation warrants, use mace or the aluminum baseball bat first.
But being totally unprepared is dumb.

storm is past, all over, sun coming back out, .26 rain

time to thin the radishes

Looks like the rain mostly missed us.
One week today since my cataract surgery, couldn’t be happier. Can’t wait to get the other one done.
Went to dinner with friends tonight, neat place, it’s like a food court but you’re seated like a regular restaurant and a waitress comes to your table and gives you six menus and takes your order. Very cool.

Rain missed us also.
Another truck wreck this morning down the road, not at the usual turn. Not sure how it got there.

Good 'Good Friday' morning! Only 12C over night and I don't think we're going much higher than 17C on this overcast day. The odd shower is predicted but I think that that is the Met people just covering their arse. Light wind.

Nothing much on for this 'reflective' day.

Take care all.

Good evening all. 40ºF for the start, clear, light breeze. Light wind, sky stayed clear, and high temp was 73ºF, DP 32ºF. Bike ride to start day, nice not to have wind penalty 1/6 of Tuesday's penalty. Trip to town to grab lunch, vacuum shop, and grocery shop. Vacuum shopping did not go as planned, shop had bought out by another company, and did not do residential equipment. However receptionist was with previous owners and was going to see what they could do for us. Got everything on grocery lists. Helped wife prep roast/carrots, then nap. This evening worked on golf GPS, needed map just updated to be reloaded, and sorting out "AA" recahargeable batteries, found one bad on so far.
Roy good to see you working smarter. hope maintenance on blower goes well.
Buppies hope you get rain if you need it.
Drew sorry to hear about the scrape and burn. hope waxing went well. I agree we are lucky to be here.
Bill hope trip went well.

38 outside this AM, heading to mid 70's.

Busy week. TGIF.

Managed to clean up all storm damage this week. Then yesterday, of course, another branch came down. So more chain saw duty on tap today. Timing sucks.

Insurance company and contractors are off by a factor of 10 on repairs to roofs on outbuildings, barn and house. What else is new.

Need to get one more window installed in the Milk House. Is looking like a real building now.

Hope all have a great day and better weekend. Stay safe and be healthy.

Nice moon out this AM over the pastures. A real treat.

37° right now...high in the low 60's. Supposed to be windy today...15-20 MPH sustained with gusts up to 35 MPH

Cleaned the mud off the snowblower, time to prep it for storage until next snow season. I might pull the chipper out since I've got some branches down and one dead tree. The dead tree is leaning against other trees, and looks like the trunk is just setting on the stump. I'll take a closer look today.
I also have a shower head to install in our spare shower...stepdaughter uses that shower and wanted one of those with a hand held wand. Supposedly, installation requires no tools...we'll see

Good morning, low temp 33 and going to a high of 37°F. Wind SSW 13 gusting to 19 mph. Cloudy and 40% chance of flurries. It is snowing as I type and we've got about 1/2" on the ground. That is on top of the 6" still there from winter.

the North Bay trip went as well as can be expected. I will give up more on that subject the Saturday after tomorrow.

I think I will conserve energy today.

Have a safe day all
