RS, not sure how you are getting so much yard work done. There are too many places in my yard that either sounds like a sponge walking on it or water oozes up at every step.

Pretty much the same here.

It was going reasonably well, until late yesterday, when I started trying to pull the core aerator. Got the Cub stuck twice, first time I was able to free it myself. Second time required the van, a tow strap, and the assistance of The Woman to unstick it.

I had to use the tractor yesterday to move some stuff and it left tracks.

Cub is pretty light but it's very wet here as well, so it also leaving tracks (actually ruts) ... so I'll probably need to borrow the lawn roller from the neighbor and roll the yard, once it dries up some.

Glad you were able to get the catch basin fixed ... (y)

I still have little work to do on a couple of those here, to (hopefully) terminatedly handle the issues I'm having with them (mainly erosion)

I'm surprised you are still wearing that monitor. My wife only had one for 24 hours and all the sensors/wires drove her nuts. Trying to sleep with it on was very annoying for her but in the end the information that it picked up was amazing. Hope you can get rid of it soon.

I’ve never gotten anything from a class action lawsuit more than a $1 off your next order, while the shysters made millions.
Wife was checking out an government website where you can go to see if your owed money.

She did each one of the kids and found forgotten paychecks and other unclaimed money's totaling a couple hundred for each child.

You put in the person's current address and the checks get sent to them.

She then did it for herself.

About a week later, I'm going through the mail paying bills while she is stuck at work.

Came across this one envelope addressed to her that seemed odd, so I opened it.

She had a check for $.03

So then when she called me on her break, of course the first thing out of my mouth is "Honey..... why did someone send you a check for $.03????".

Apparently you can't find out how much you are owed until after you click on the debt listed and put in your info.

50 here and calm and I'm on my second cup of coffee. GM's are a royal PITA to get the TPMS sensors to relearn. Round and round the vehicle....lol
No they aren't. Last time I had that issue on my truck, I sat in the showroom of the tire shop reading a book, and let the kid with the good back deal with them.

Not a lot of good tire shops around me without a 45 minute drive, and swapping tires fall and spring I usually get a second set of rims and sensors si I can just swap at home and be done. So I keep buying the newer tools as needed, my wifes Equinox was the last one that needed the tool, before that the little Suzuki SX needed it and the Tracker needed it also.
Now neither the RAM or the Jeep do.

This one is 'new' technology..... no wires. Just one patch about 5" long, 2" wide. Has a removable transmitter that snaps on/off. It's about an inch square. Transmits to a dedicated cell phone that you need to keep within 30ft. I actually forget it's on, no problem at all sleeping with it on.

The patch is waterproof, designed to be worn for 5 days, then replaced. That is the only bad part.... getting it off after 5 days....

I would like to have some of the glue that they use!

Popgadget and family, very sorry for your loss of Emily. Just listening when you talk about her she was a great friend and family member. Whether young or old they never really leave us but it still hurts a lot.

66F and cloudy @ 20:30, heading down to an overnight low of around 49F. Calling for showers this evening which will develop into a steady rain overnight. Thursday and Friday looking good though ... (y)

Hopper and deer feeders refilled, also two suet feeders.

Finally getting some blooms out back from the tulips and daffodils we planted:

Peonies, day lilies, and irises I got locally also doing very well back there, have a few mail-order iris that got pulled up (but are still alive) that I need to replant. Probably do that tomorrow.

Have plenty more of our original hostas that need to dug and moved elsewhere before I start the retaining wall project:

Some Stella D'Oro's as well in that last image.

Otherwise, ended up being a good day for potting plants, even given how late I got started. Got the 6 day lilies potted:

Along with 6 new hosta varieties, 4 toad lilies, and the Alexander's Great Brunnera:

All watered in good.

Going to have some of the leftover Thai Chicken in Peanut Sauce The Woman made yesterday and then probably work on getting more vegetable seeds planted in starter pots.

Hope everyone had a great Hump Day ... (y)

Good Morning
It’s 50 and headed up to 80 today.

Yesterday turned out to be a beautiful sunny day after the morning showers. But a very sad day for me. We took Emily for her final car ride, my wife and all the kids went to the vet to say goodbye. She was a sweetheart to the end, licking the face of the vet as she put the needle in her leg. Here we are waiting for the kids to get here, I’ll sure miss her, she was the best dog and friend I ever had.

Later in the day, I got the Lazer out and mowed the dryer areas around the house, but it’s still awfully wet out there.

Today I’ve got to get back to getting these speakers finished, have an airport authority meeting this evening, and plenty to keep me busy, which is a good thing.
Oh Paul I'm so sorry. What a beautiful dog Emily was. Condolences for your family. Maybe the hardest decision you ever had to make.

Really appreciate this

I haven't talked directly with her, only my sis has.
I have at that village my own apartment, not very big and fancy, just nice cosy "summer house" with all modern days goodies. With central heating, it's habitable at winter either. I have offered that for her convenience, she can stay with her kids whatever time she needs.

My sis already have told her that her husband already has fallen at war and this kid can be his legacy... Maybe that sounds little pathetic, but we are thinking that way

She says she have one small kid already and cant handle them both

But still, foster care is better than abort

Guys please get me right. I am pro-life. For that woman it's not about money. At least I think, I have made it that way very clear. If she needs any material support, we can provide. She just have to have a will to live.

She now is in emotions. Any of us would be emotional just escaped from war with one kid on hands and partner killed. Now she is safe and sound. Lets see what will come out. Let her calm down and have second thoughts.

Yes, we can not imagine her emotions. So many horrible things at once. Loss of loved one, loss of home, loss of country, possible further losses. If she was in America, the doctors would maybe prescribe something, but not when pregnant. Hopefully, when she can contemplate things better, she'll learn to love her baby. I hope her memories of her husband are good. I'm praying for them, and God bless you for helping.

Morning all! 8C for a low and currently 20C on this slightly overcast day. No rain and a light breeze.

Not much on for today, I'm off in a few minutes to have my toenails cut. It's a 'service' by Diabetes Aus for me, what with my Type II diabetes.

Maunday Thursday service tonight & Good Friday service tomorrow morning.

Take care all!

Morning appointment turned into more than 2 hours at Dr office. Exam showed Sophie still has inflammation in eye that had cataract surgery last June. Dye in her veins for more photos, steroid injection, prescription for antibiotic drops, and appointment scheduled for next week. Sophie’s eyes may be in contest with Ted’s knees. ☹️

Good evening. In town for a couple of days for the surgeon’s appointment. Sharon had her cast taken off, and it is healing nicely. She’s not supposed to carry anything heavier than a coffee cup in her left hand, and it is really easy to forget that, so we have to take it easy.

Jasper The Airedale had his vet appointment for fleas:ticks, etc., and $500 later we’re out the door. He is looking pretty dapper now that my daughter trimmed him for the spring.

Picked up the turkey, and will head north for Thanksgiving tomorrow. Good friends and neighbors will be joining us, so it will be really nice. We have turkey every Easter, every Christmas, and every Thanksgiving. I love it!

Snow is all melted off of the driveway up north, and the ice on our little bay is starting to melt. It won’t be long before we put the toys in!

The kid is coming up for the weekend, so it will be four nights. She loves to walk the dog up there, and it takes the pressure off of me for a change.

Looking forward to taking the snowblower off of the back of the tractor, and putting the backhoe back on for the summer.

Have a good Easter weekend, everyone!

Good evening all. 73ºF for the start, overcast, breezy, no rain in gauge. Thunderstorms developed east and south of here, with some severe, news had pic of hail stone bigger than a hand! Men's meeting to start day, puttered rest of day. thought we might got to town for shopping, but wife put that of to tomorrow. Mowing not finished yet so that is still on agenda. Did get nap in.
Helpgabals I think the best thing you and your wife can do is be there for her. Decisions made during very emotional time are rarely good. Give her space and prayer.

45° right now...high in the mid 60's, rain this afternoon.

Tractor and pallet folks made easy work of loading the tires on the truck. Boy, I used to be able to just toss the tires in the bed...no more though. Was going to drop the snowblower off...but giving it a looksee, I need to wash it down (dried mud on the cutting edge) and do some paint touch up. That'll be today or, more likely, tomorrow
Main thing today is getting the truck to the shop...annual inspection, oil change and swapping the tires
