Waiting on my refund. I never got the last stimulus, so claimed that, which they said would slow the return.

Nothing accomplished this weekend, back to the grind again in the morning.
Old cat laying on my lap, new cat on the other lazyboy. We are getting one of snagglepuss kittens when they are old enough, probably the calico.

Just finished mine about an hour ago it took about 4.5 hrs, and I thought I was all organized! Don't know why but doing taxes stresses me out. Just now got the email they were accepted. Time for a stress reduction beverage

Stay well and heal quickly
Prayers for all

Mine are done, but not filed. Like to let them set over night and check in morning before filing just to be sure I didn’t have a brain fart. Again I promise myself to keep this years spreadsheets and receipts more up to date

42F and clear @ 01:00, heading down to low of 39F in the overnight.

Got some compost sifted and sterilized. Woman did not seem to happy about the sterilization aspect. I asked Her what the problem was. She said it just didn't seem right having soil in Her oven.

LOL ... ok ... but it kills everything. (Maybe that's the problem ? ... ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯ )

I also took the 100' fiberglass tape and some stakes around back and marked off a potential area to enclose for a garden . Will probably have to adjust it a bit, to allow for maneuvering room for the Kubota ... but something along the lines of a 40' x 40' area could work.

Before I went back up front I grabbed a 20G Long aquarium from down in the basement and brought it up front in the dump cart. Wiped that down with some Windex and stuck on it the bottom shelf of the aquarium stand and later loaded the peat pots I got planted this evening into it.

Then took three 5 gallon buckets of used cat litter over to the east side of the house and filled in a couple of groundhog holes.

Put out some E-Coriganite and Deer Scram on the two areas where we planted the grape hyacinths, also tamped down the one area by the circle that I hadn't tamped before.

After that I finished mowing and grinding up leaves on the rest of the front lawn except for a little strip at the bottom which was still so wet it had standing water sitting in it.

Then raked up the leaves around the front steps where The Woman has Her Stella D'Oro daylilies and some tulips planted and hauled that and some other compostable items up to the pile.

This evening after dinner I got 5 peat pot trays planted. Each tray has eight holes, did two trays of tomatoes (Crimson Cushion Beefsteak and Bush Beefsteak), one tray of eggplant (Black Beauty), and two of bell peppers (Red Mercury and Yellow Belle) Each hole got four seeds.

All in all, fairly decent day.

Think I'll see what I can wrangle up for an after midnight snack and then hit the rack.

This was a hell of a weekend

Saturday my twin boys had birthday. 9 years already.
From friend of mine have borrowed VW Transporter for all my kids fit in one car :D and made 2 hour trip to water park in Estonia. Boys have learned jumping from stairs in deep pool. My sisters son, which is 14 shown them. I dont do that. My boys already are better than me

Meantime I enjoyed hot bath with view on frozen Baltic sea

On way back visited my sister. She already 30 years work in small village (~ 3000 ppl) city commune social services. Now she is in charge for organizing life of Ukrainian refugees.
Their stories are incredible
There is women which have traveled 1 week and she is scheduled give birth this week. How she have done that trip ? My sister says - really nice looking 29 y/o woman. Unbelievable strength
There is other one wanting to do abort ... Her husband is killed, have already 2 y old toddler on hands... They are trying to make her change her mind, but is seems no go...
There are few woman lived fancy life so they dont know how to peel potatoes :ROFLMAO:
There is 72 y old lady which actually have lived in this village 35 years ago, then moved to UA. Now she is so happy. telling she always wanted to visit place of her youth but never have opportunity. Now war brought her together with her old friends. Pity is she is so weak that she barely can cross her room... Commune have provided car & driver for day. Her friends are organizing other visits
Dozen kids +/- same age already formed their own class. there are few teachers with them. School already from C19 times have all equipment, so UA kids do a lot of very good classes remotely from Kyev.

Life goes on in strange ways

Yesterday I took my companies bus attached trailer, made trip to my "rancho". Brought there for summer storage snow blower and couple of empty firewood crates.
Loaded 4 sets of summer tires and motorcycle
Didn't do anything there as everything is so wet. Barely have made it out. My bus MAN TGE (the same VW crafter) I have ordered FWD drive-train. it is so tended to get stuck everywhere. Having trailer hanging on bumper doesnt make things easier :)
Have found one older pic for better understanding

Good morning, low temp 29 and high 50°F. Wind SSE 6 mph. 40% chance of showers.

The tire service is coming either this morning or tomorrow morning to fix my rear tire on the Kioti. The deal is that if he isn't here by noon today, then he will be here tomorrow.

We've got a Provincial election coming up on June 2, now which liar am I going to vote for this time? Time to search for a mail in ballot.

I am eligible for a 4th shot of alligatoritus anti-venom, I guess it is time for the third shot. Another search for that.

I may get outside today and actually 'do' something.

Have a safe day all

good morning all
cold morning but then weather really heating up, I see 81 predicted for Thursday. Hope next three days bring the little veggies out of the ground.
Still sore this morning from planting pachysandra yesterday but will head back over and plant some more this afternoon and then likely finish another day this week.

One of our church members lives part year in Berlin and joins us for services on zoom which is pretty neat. I asked her about immigration and she said over 60K Ukrainian refugees have come into Berlin already and the city and country are doing their best to accommodate. More than 2M children displaced. All because of one man's ego and greed.

It's very cool to have folks on this thread from other countries. Reminds us how much we all have in common.

29 headed to 62, did not expect this.
A lot of planting to do but not until these freezes are past.

BEF, I tried talk wife into one of those kittens but I failed.

I need to mow again and I need to put the deck on the tractor so father in law can help.

Gotta run, check in later.

35 outside this AM. Nice and sunny start. Weather people are saying it might go up to 70 today.

May hop on the mowers again. Ride number two for the season.

Had to go to the big box store again for lumber this weekend. Managed to get one window replaced in the milk house. Took the whole original window out case included. Rebuilding from scratch is a challenge since all wood dimensions are nominal these days. I got it done, and just have three more to do. Original opening was not square, that was a first for me, dealing with that issue. A window a day is the goal for this week. Then I will start on the electric and busting a door opening through the wall that housed the electrics and what not way back when. Should be fun dealing with the wall construction, concrete mix over wire mesh.

Hope all have a good start to the work week. Be safe, get healthy,

Good Morning.
It’s 39 with a high of 60 forecast under clear skies.

Yesterday started the same way, but had brief showers with snow and graupel. My day started with installing the speakers in the restaurant ceiling and getting them wired and connected. I lucked out and picked the right taps on the 70v transformers to balance the levels.
Next up was to build the input plates for the batch of speakers I’m building. Started off by laying out and punching the holes. I use a plywood template and spotting punch to make the layout quick.

IMG_0566.jpg

IMG_8541.jpg

After they’re punched and drilled, next step is to add the input jacks and controls.

IMG_8543.jpg

Next step is to wire them to the crossovers and install them after the speakers have the finish on them.

My daughter came with my mom’s old Kitchen Aid Mixer to clean and grease. I gave her a place to work and some help, but it’s her project.

IMG_8544.jpg

She cleaned out all the old grease, put a lot of parts in the ultrasonic tank, and cleaned the exterior finish with compound and automotive wax. That mixer is at least 50 years old, I know that it made my wedding cake 48 years ago.

Last thing was to drive to Allentown and have dinner with the mechanic that came to lead the charge on removing the failed engine. Of course I forgot to bring him the logbook for that engine, so I guess I’ll be taking him out to lunch today…….

Morning all, 39 going up to 60 and the sin is out.
Was windy, snow, rain, sleet, none of which was in the forecast until about the time it happened.

Got a lot of tree trunks and branches bucked up and cleared out a fallen tree by the roadside.
So about 3 hours in what seemed like gale winds and sleet, but I am so far behind on getting ready for spring.
Started raking a few areas too, to get cleaned up in front of the house.

Got good news yesterday- my Friends daughter is getting married, can't wait to go to the wedding in December.
Him and I go back to kindergarten.

Drew sorry to hear about your friend- hope he responds well to treatment.

Helogabals - Happy birthday to your boys!

I may try to plant a few rows of corn and some pumpkins this year. Probably just feed the deer, but have never planted corn before.

Still tree shopping, wife wants a Japanese Black Pine, but hard to find. Have over 20 forsythia on order and just ordered some weeping willows for the one wet area. Pretty bard there now and about 50-60 feet wide, so should keep the mess contained pretty well, need to drop a few trees there so they don't come down on the new trees when they arrive.

Stay safe and be well,

Nice job popgadget. Interesting to see. Are the metal plates already made before you start punching holes? What gauge metal ?

Nice pic Ken.

Ken, get 1 forsythia, they grow fast, root fast, and grow more and more and more real fast. All mine I haven’t trimmed lately have plenty of new ones coming up underneath.
If you was close I’d give you some.

48F going up to 61f blue sky and sunshine.

Looks like our local deer have a taste for pansies. Darned deer!

I thought the new Medcram talk was interesting. He talks about the possible health benefits of getting out in the sunshine. Of course my Doc tells me not to get too much sunshine.

63°F and cloudy this morning, steadily dropping through the day down into the mid 40s. 54° and rain right now. Looks like we'll get rain here much of the day.

Felt a little under the weather this weekend. Had some sniffles and sneezing going on for a couple of days starting Thursday, then yesterday it magically disappeared. Much better today. Didn't get much done on Saturday, other than finally getting the new tires ordered for the mowers. Ouch. Decided to get out in the sunshine yesterday and get some mowing done. Still pretty soft in a lot of places, so I just used the self-propelled walk-behind. Got the fenced in yard and the side area between the house and the barn before I pooped out, about an acre. Good exercise. I might even consider doing more of that this year.

Nice work on the crossovers, Paul. I have wondered in the past about the viability of using wood instead of pc boards, which are expensive to have made in small batches.
I, too, have a handful of people I regularly follow on YouTube. I don't watch TV at all, but I can sit for hours watching stuff on YouTube.
