Good morning!!!!

Real butter only, this mornings breakfast sandwich was egg and sausage with a pat of butter in the frying pan and a slice of pepperjack cheese.
I've had quite a few cars, suv's and pickups most of them American,
did trade a 74 Gremlin for a 73 VW Thing,
then a 74 Toyota Land Cruiser,
also had a Chevy Tracker which was really a Suzuki and a Suzuki SX4.
Had 2 English motorcycles a hand full of Japanese one's (including some Hodakas) and now a HD Ultra Limited.
The worst car was the Gremlin, the best 4wd was the Land Cruiser after the small block Chevy got put in it, one of the best pickups was the 78 K20.
The nicest pickup is my current 15 RAM 1500 eco diesel.

Good morning to all! Went down to 38, wind finally decided to shut off...now only 'breezy' at 15-20 mph. Should go up to 65 today, 70 tomorrow. No precip in the forecast.....

Swelling went down a little, pain less, but now in different spots... I think this is just all part of the healing process. They were in there messing around, I'm sure that would just be irritating by itself. Have a follow-up on Wednesday, so we'll see then. I'm still behaving myself. Need to go retrieve some groceries today, we'll see how well I do.

Ddoherty - Welcome to 'Good Morning'

David - congrats on the HAM exam...keep us posted as to the info you get from around the world!

Jay - 'walk around the lower perimeter'....did you take Brogen to show him the ropes? How is he doing?

Drew - need some updated garden pics.... How did the meeting w/ the food pantry go?

RIP - being a full time or even a part time care giver adds a ton of additional work, one small glitch is bound to happen. Hang in there. Did you get the sparrows banned from the barn?

LNF - yes ...butter...only butter!

RNG - still need pics / video of the bike running.....or it didn't happen:D. (Especially after your April Fools)

Andrew - make sure you and momma take in all the "baby girl" stuff now, it will seem like next week when she's asking permission to go out on a date!

Everyone have a great start to your week! Be safe, enjoy early spring.

...

Not yet, I knocked all the nests down, and purchased some lumber and screen to make some screen windows to hang over the window bays on the barn. I need something temporary that does not restrict air movement.

I may tackle that project this evening.

Keep on behaving, don't get complacent. Speedy recovery takes patience.

Y’all would tired of reading my list of vehicles I’ve owned since the mid 60’s, it passed 140 over ten years ago. Wish I had the money now!

Little Gloria just gets born and we've got her dancing around...perhaps a future ballerina?

Meeting with Food Bank went very well, lady gave me good advice on limp tomato transplants, just lay them on their side and cover up to leaves and plant will reroot
and head straight up. If I have a trellis web to tie them to, I can go vertical but seem to have a lot of long spindly legged plants. Some of which are falling over or get blown over
in that field.

I was bad today. Went to local Ace Hardware and went through their seed dept. Bought some more seeds, and then when I got home, another seed order came in, replacing some of the beets and carrots I had wash away. So, at least if I'm stuck inside for the next day in rain, I can plant some trays of new plants.
Also got some Beck's Big Buck Horn okra, German variety coming out of Texas.

Wow, including my right by marriage, I think I can count 10. But at one point, I had people giving me free leased vehicles so that helped.

34°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 48° today. Warmer weather is queued up for later this week, with temps in the upper 70s by Thursday.

We missed all the snow and rain that came through the area over the weekend. It all went around us Friday night, then again yesterday evening. We saw some light flurries yesterday, but that was it.

The first 10 chicks went out to the new coop over the weekend. They definitely seem to like it better than the makeshift pen. Wife has them mostly tamed. The Red Rangers are downright friendly, but the Silver Laced Wyandottes are still a bit skittish. neat-looking birds, though. The newer Buff Orpingtons are still little yellow fuzzballs, and are still inside for a few more weeks. Nights are way too cold for them.

We've already started drawing up plans to expand the coop, as 15 birds is about three times as many as we'd originally planned. Probably pick up some lumber and chicken wire this weekend and get started on that.

Congrats on the exam, David. Time to start looking at radios now. I know a few HAM operators, and all I can say is, welcome to your new addiction.

I've always liked sports cars, especially smaller ones. A neighbor behind us when I was growing up had a Triumph Spitfire that I just loved. She had nothing but trouble with it, but man, what a great-looking little car. My only real sports car was a '77 BMW 320i I bought myself for my 19th birthday back in 1985. That was a fun car. I've had a few smaller cars over the years, like a couple of VW Super Beetles, Chevy Monza hatchback, Chevy Sprint, Geo Metro, and I guess my current Kia Soul is kind of small. As much as I really like small cars, they generally weren't very practical for me. It's tough to fit music equipment in most of them. I used to load up my Geo Metro with two bass speaker cabinets, an amplifier rack, two keyboards and stands, a small light show, bass guitar case, and duffle bag of cables and accessories, ... and have just enough room to sit in the driver's seat and drive. More reasonable vehicles have been the minivans and small SUVs.

Does that mean you ain't supposed to use ANY KIND of oil, butter, or margarine in your cooking?

Extra Virgin Olive Oil may be the best type of oil for people without heart disease, but anyone who has every been diagnosed with heart disease, had stents place, had a bypass, or is on a statin, should absolutely not use any kind of oil, butter, or margarine. All oils and fats impair the endothelial function. The endothelium is the inner lining of the arteries. Here is a good discussion on why the confusion with olive oil.

Olive Oil & Artery Function | NutritionFacts.org

As you can see from the link above, although "extra virgin olive oil retains a fraction of the anti-inflammatory phytonutrients found in the olive fruit, and so doesn't appear to induce the spike in inflammatory markers caused by regular olive oil, olive oil was found to have the same impairment to endothelial function as the rest of these high-fat meals.

This global cooling is crazy...had to start the woodstove again Saturday, and bring in more firewood to the porch yesterday... a very unusual April chore. Our lows will be in the 30s at least 2 or 3 more nights.

I owned an XKE and a Ford GT and really loved the way they held the corners on the slot car track :).

My ignitor went out on my pellet stove. I should have left it alone, could have manually started the stove, but i removed the old ignitor, got wires hanging out under the burn pot, so no fires. New one should come today.

I couldn't hold a corner on a slot track...
