Carvana gets 4.5 stars. They paid the amount stated on their web site and did everything they said they would do. I deducted 1/2 star because their uploading of photos was complicated and they were an hour late today. Overall a good experience and top dollar. 1K more than CarmaX offered.

It was all done online and the guy carrying the check only checked the odometer and documents and gave mom the check. Poor guy that did the checking talked so fast and with an accent I had to tell him to slow down and asked where he was from. He said Ukraine, his family is still in one of the towns and can't leave because there is no place to go and the planes keep the anxiety level up. He did a good job. My mom was wondering if he was really from Ukraine, his pronunciation the towns was good so I would say he was truthful but told Mom that she was very good in always suspecting a scam and to always keep her suspicions up.

He left the keys in a lock box on the window and said a tow truck would be by later. The truck arrived at 7PM, the car is gone. The 8 year old car sold for 3K less than it was bought new. Mom was amazed and kept asking if I was sure it was not a scam. I showed her the Carvana car vending machines on my phone, she did not quite understand the concept, of course I don't either.

It’s funny how those mega dealers work, when I sold my Borrego two years ago I got $1400 more from Carmax than Carvana offered.

64°f and .01 inches rain.

Off to the Honda dealer 1st thing. Hope they fix my no start condition. A few errands then drop Sophie off at the extended care to visit a neighbor suffering a hip infection. Stop at PO on way home, then hopefully a couple hours in Caretaker unit

Dinner and H&F with our Canadian friends.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Good morning to all! Low was a balmy 36°, going up to the mid 60's again. It was breezy / windy this morning, but calm now. Supposed to be a beautiful weekend.

Ran an errand into town already this morning, not sure what else I will get into today.....

Thinking I might get out to the shop and piddle with some small projects. I just have to find my motivation...... I left it somewhere and can't remember where.......
Maybe in the kitchen..... I usually go in there for something.....

Everyone have a great day!

52 F now but it feels a lot colder.
I ran up to the farm to check on things. The farmer has a big IH tractor with a grading pan sitting out in the field. He is going to work on the grassy waterways. The wheat which was a cover crop looks pretty spotty. I was wondering if they would let the wheat grow. If the war causes the price of wheat to go up there may be money to be made. I picked up a wagon load of sticks. It is amazing how much trees shed. This is the time to resist getting the yanmar out of the barn as I would just make a mess in the mud.
I ran up to Target this morning. Very few wearing masks. The numbers are pretty low. I saw my family doctor yesterday. Their corporate owners are still mandating masks. He mentioned that he thinks there will be another wave. Hope he is wrong.
I'm trying to decide if I can take the snowblower up to the barn and bring back the mower. That would surely make Mother Nature hit us with some snow. Spring flowers are looking good here.

Take care all

Chris

So there was a fire in the main town today.
Fire Dept was prompt, but found a car in front of hydrant (illegally of course).

Since they had to put the fire out, they got creative.

Great Fire Dept! Fire out with minimal building damage. Can't say as much about the cars windows.

Not the first time I've seen a picture like that...one was a Volvo, the other, IIRC, was an Audi
