Drew, are they just overbooked for the train or don't they have one going at the time you need?

Amtrak has two trains to Florida. Apparently they only stop in Charleston with the one that they just cancelled, which had roomettes.
I can't sit in a train seat for 12 hours, have to lie down for my back so it just doesn't work for me.
as they said in their email we have no other transportation to offer you.

got some fresh air going out and doing a little weeding in the garden, then sun popped out and I figured why not so I washed the car.
good timing, weather is about to tank, wind and rain coming in. I think I'll stay in for the afternoon.

one of the challenges in modern cars is all the sensors. My rear view mirrors folded in and out about a dozen times while I washed the car based on where
the water sprayed near the handles. I know they have a way to turn off the wipers for the car wash but need to investigate if I can turn off the auto folding mirrors.

Roy, great video, very entertaining

Which drone are you using RNG
It's the 1st generation Mavic Mini, Buppies.

I also tried out the automatic return-to-home-and-land feature yesterday, and it worked fine. First thing it did after pushing the button was to climb, presumably to a safe altitude. Then traversed over the launch spot before descending. If winds aloft are higher than the motors can keep up with, that might be a problem, but I try to only fly on pretty calm days.

Good morning to all! Low of 39°, going up to 68°.... 70° tomorrow. Then the precip from out RNG's way gets to us on Tuesday. We really need the moisture, but high temps will drop back into the low 50's. Hopefully a quick warm up will happen again.
I'll try not to wring out all the moisture as that front passes over, Ted. From the TV forecast last night, though, it looks like the south state will get much heavier rain than we will, so that'll work in your favor.
RNG, I watched through the whole video. He sure accomplished a good amount of clearing. Looked really smooth from the air.... probably not so much on the ground. Too bad you couldn't use a GIS survey map and overlay it. Have no clue as where the property lines are....
Are you going to seed it with any native grasses or wildflowers?
The operator was able to smooth the majority of the dozer ruts by back dragging, but I still want to back drag the lid on the 4in1 over it to get out the sticks and rocks. Probably start that today.

No plans to seed anything. I did that after the original clearing, and it only lasted until the Camp Fire took it all. Not gonna waste any more time or money doing it again.

63°F and .07 inches rain

First thing, back to Hilo to retrieve my truck. Dealership unable to find anything diagnostically or replicate the problem. Said deep test of battery claims it to be good. Maybe I’ll get lucky.

Guys lost 2 H & F games. 1st one a squeaker, only 5 points, although the gals led throughout. 2nd loss over 5000.

Invite this afternoon to visit friends have been to since pandemic to see their major house remodel.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Did the spring maintenance on two Honda tillers and tested one out on the bed where a very old couple was hand tilling with a garden fork, they were sure grateful.

All 42 potato plants are up today in my garden. Yea!!!

Ran out of time and did not get my tractor seat time in.

36F with light snow @ 15:00. When I woke up earlier everything was snow-covered ... then what was on the ground mostly melted off ... now it's snowing again. Calling for a high of only 29F tomorrow and a low of 18F.

Made up a batch of Tuna Helper for dinner last night, made sure The Squeak got a double portion of tuna from the can before I dumped the rest in the pan ... ;)

Feeders are empty so will head out and get those filled. Saw male bluebird at the suet feeder outside the kitchen window yesterday.

Just placed Menards order for critter food and cat litter, and it's supposedly ready for pick up ... no way they could have pulled it that fast.

More work done in fish room yesterday, may get back to that here in a little bit. Need to draw more water for pwc's.

Have started working on a Spring plant/bulb/seed order.

Need to email accountant and see if he can get us in before the 15th.

This popped up locally ... may go have a look once it warms up mid-week ... assuming it's still there:

Hope everyone is having a great Saturday !

I'm beginning to think that mine must have been stored in a leaky bucket.

PopG, nice job on the speaker parts. Do you dothem by hand with a jig or do you have a CNC cutter? Looks very precisely done.

All the parts are cut out on a table saw. The cut outs in the baffle are done with a router with a protractor type base for the round ones, a template guide and template for the square one.
All the parts get dados for assembly, they are done on the table saw as well working from a drawing and setting the fence with a steel rule.
The boxes will assemble and stand on their own without glue.

I have seen where the earliest the used car bubble will burst is October this year and the latest will be in 2025. So it looks good that the check will clear. I saw a very similar vehicle for sale in Carvana for $1,950 more than they paid Mom so that is about the amount of profit per car they are getting. That is almost the same price as was paid for new 8 years ago.

Roy and Bird, even though EGO batteries never go on sale, sometimes Ace hardware has a storewide sale. The one in Liberty Hill had one today with 50% off one item up to $50. So I got another 2.5Ah battery for my EGO edger/weedeater/blower/hedge trimmer for just $109. I only spent $6 in gasoline to get the $50 off.

At the store there was a Tesla with a fitting personal License plate - "MY JOULE"

Popgadget, those are some quality made speakers.

I'll definitely keeping an eye out for that!!

I don't have any 2.5 A/h batteries...just 5.0 A/h and 7.5 A/h. I'd like to get another 5.0 A/h since I use those in most my tools...but I could use a couple 2.5 A/h batteries for summer use (string trimmer and pole saw...maybe the chainsaw) since the 2.5A/h batteries are considerably lighter

Damp cold day...I normally keep our thermostat on 62°-64°...had to turn it up to 70° to take the edge off
