Today we drove right past where our family drama lives. Asked the wife if we should stop. Nope!!
Actually don’t know exactly where she lives.

She never told us she and her husband sold their house in NC and now live in a camper in VA, they hid it from us. Last time we saw her, she kept referring to her “house”.

The weekend of my FILs funeral, she had a little too much to drink and tore me a new one because I wouldn’t help her spy on her kids, they won’t have anything to do with her.

My wife still texts her some, but she still gives us snarky comments.

It’s always everyone’s fault but hers, for whatever the situation. She drove her kids away.

Snow has passed heading east so I got the snow off the vehicles and got my bath. Road in front of house melted off as it fell. Temp is 28F.

Good morning, low temp 13 and high 18°F. Wind W 9 gusting to 17 mph. 60% chance of flurries. Tomorrow we get snow, so they say. Got an inch of it yesterday.

The fuel gauge on the tractor did something it hasn't done in a month...It moved from Full towards the 3/4 full mark. That is a 'win' for me. I will check it visually in daylight to make sure I am not being lied to.

I distanced myself from Moms' side of the family in 1988 when she died, and Dads' side in 1993 when he died.
I keep myself to myself and family IF they want to find me, then they can go through work to do it. Almost everybody in Ontario knows of the construction company I work for and they can get ahold of me that way. Or not, I don't care.

When gas hit $1.60/L I put my foot down and told junior and his wife that there would only be one (1) trip to town per week, on Thursdays. The only exception would be the monthly shopping trip to North Bay. That IF they wanted something from town other than Thursdays then they could have a nice walk. It is only 2 miles each way.

Nothing on my books for today, so I think I will jump down the youtube rabbit hole.

good morning all
nasty weather coming in, 46 now, high of the day, dropping to 18 tonight. Going to be a mess out there, freezing rain, black ice and
1-3 inches of snow. Rain is coming in soon.

thought I might take the car to gas station and fill it up. I can only imagine what it will cost.

got some good gardening done yesterday, planted four kinds of flowers in large pots that will get started indoors, seeds and bulbs. Hope to take them outside end of April.

Tomorrow is big business meeting after church where we discuss getting rid of alligator restrictions.
got an email last night from local brother, his wife felt terrible for two days, tested, positive.
This stuff is still out there...but so much pressure from anti maskers that I'm beginning to think that Darwinism should prevail.
Tomorrow will be really good news, funny it's my birthday tomorrow and getting rid of alligator restrictions is a true present.
I just know a few folks will take the opportunity to express their dissatisfaction with the way things have been managed.
Why is it that folks who are the perpetual poor listeners and don't come to meetings to help, are also the ones that state everyone else
isn't listening and complain the most? Pretty sure others have faced this too.

four siblings, three of us type A guys who think quite alike, artistic sister. Have never had upset among siblings, we are lucky.
My oldest and best friend has a younger brother who at age 55 has been homeless for more than 20 years in California, has no desire for
another life, mental health issues.

i agree that last two years has put a real strain on the public's mental health. Folks seem more hair trigger, ready to go off at perceived slights.
We all need to take it easy on each other.

It's always amazed me how children can be raised by the same parents yet turn out so differently.

Yup, SWMBO and I have what I would have considered 4 "only" children, 2 were mild rebels for a while, but after their "tumultuous twenties" have straightened out and all 4 have become good members of society.
I think our main failing was not trying to raise one greedy backstabbing financial wiz, just to lend money to the rest.

35° right now...that's also the high for the day. Snow coming in later this morning. The accumulation predictions vary, but it's probably going to be somewhere between 5-10 inches.

Dump run this morning...maybe a haircut...than wait for the snow...

Calm, wind free 23° this morning, going for a forecast sunny high of 57°. And in spite of the forecasts for dire weather yesterday . . . I just now poured about .05" of rain out of the gauge; no snow. sleet, freeze, etc. as far as I could tell yesterday. And now our forecasts are for nothing but Spring type weather for the foreseeable future.

And I'll have to move all the clocks forward tomorrow for the start of Daylight Savings Time.
